Terrible experience

My daughters and I are traveling around Japan and we have been so pleased with our different hotels and hostels, but this was a terrible experience. I booked a room for three people on booking.com, two adults (my oldest daughter is 18) and one child, age 11. They had given us a double room with a 140 bed without the possibility of an extra bed. So I had to upgrade to a twin room for 4000 yen extra with two beds that were 1.1 m wide, so my daughter of 11 and I would have to share a single bed. Also with the upgraded room it was impossible to put in an extra bed. When we came up to the room, which had a view into a wall, there were only two pillows and two comforter covers. I went to the reception to get an extra set, and after some time I got an extra pillow, but again, it was impossible for them to give me an extra comforter cover for the third person in the room. I asked if they could take a comforter from another room, as they have availability, this was not possible. We had to make do with an extra blanket, or what turned out to be an extra over-sized towel. The aircon didnt work proparly and it was one of our hottest days in Japan so there was no way we could share a single bed and one comforter, one of us had to sleep on the floor. I have never experienced anything like this. I just want to warn other families of this lack of flexibility. The booking confirmation states that the room has 3 person max capacity, yet bedding for 3 was not possible. Also, a note to both to the hotel and to booking.com - when you put in your traveling information, including the age of the child, it should not be an option to choose a room that does not fit the number of people staying there.

Overall the experience was great. Great location, comfortable facility, great breakfast, great bath!

I liked the onsen but I think they should let us use the facility in the morning after 10 before the 11 o'clock check out time. Other than that the food was great and the facility was very very comfortable. My husband smokes and he said the smoking area was better in Chiba but I guess there are not many smokers these days so I think the space was adequate.

As I mentioned earlier, the onsen was great but I would have liked to use it from 10-11 before the check out time but they closed at 10.

Location is great and convenience. Not too crowds, all site seeing places are not too far.

The location was great. Not too close to crowds, but walkable distance to Oasis 21 and the TV Tower. So does the Nagoya station. Of course, I would suggest to take Uber if you cannot walk a lot. Uber/taxi costs about YEN 950 (~USD 6) to Nagoya station from hotel. Of course, subway will be another option, which I didn't stay long enough to try. People around were very friendly. Foods around was great and cheap. The streets were clean. Nagoya City Science Museum is nearby and nice to take picture outside too. We drove. So, all site-seeing places are all easy to access. Find parking is easy around. Parking for hotel is on the side to same building. Very convenience. Onsen was great. I love the outdoor one with fresh air too.

Just little salty for soup to free night time noodles. Other than this, all great.

I would gladly stay here again for its onsen and breakfast.

We enjoyed the hotspring onsen, the free ice cream, yacult and ramen. There was free coffee at the lobby the whole day and free cold drinks after 3 pm. The hotel provides a fantastic breakfast. The streets nearby come alive at night with many eateries. Sakae station is about 10 minutes walk away and its underground shopping streets sell better quality stuff such as ladies' clothings.

Having to take a taxi from and to Nagoya Station. It would be nice if Dormy Inn could provide a shuttle service from and to the station.

充実のサービスに満足、チェックアウト精算の明細確認は改善してほしいな

朝食が充実夜鳴きそばがおいしい温泉付き無料サービスが充実漫画があるスタッフが丁寧浴場の混雑具合が部屋からわかる

チェックアウト時に追加料金の支払いがありましたが、明細（何に追加が発生したか）の事前確認をさせていただけず、いきなりのお支払いでした。明細をお願いしたところ、クレジットカードの領収書のみ渡され、明細を再度お願いするまで提出いただけませんでした。お支払前に明細の提出・双方確認したうえで、手続きのステップがあるとお互いスムーズで気持ちが良いと思います。お願いします。また、子ども含めた3人家族でダブルベット1つは狭いので、もう少しお部屋の選択余地があると嬉しいです（2部屋でもよいので）

都会の温泉は幸せ。

急遽名古屋に行く事になり予約できて良かったです。都会でも温泉があるのでうれしいです。

温泉自体は小さくて混雑しちゃいところ。朝食も混んでいたのでたのみませんでした。ちょっと残念でした。

朝食がとても種類が多く、名古屋めしも満喫出来ました!　またお風呂上がりの無料アイスや夜鳴きソバはとても嬉しいサービスでした（子供達もとても喜んでいました）。

2名での宿泊でしたが、部屋着やスリッパ等1名分しかなかったです。フロントで追加をお願いしたら、すぐにいただくことが出来ました。

総じて、とてもくつろげました。

温泉がとっても良かったです。また、朝食もおいしかったです。夜鳴きそばも夕食時に寝てしまってていた子供にはなかなか良いタイミングでした。

お部屋にも化粧品のアメニティがあるとうれしいです。また、女性のお風呂が混雑してしまうのが少し良くなかったです。

Considering the price we paid, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing.

The location is OK. The breakfast is good.

We chose the twin room for our family. But regrettably, it was not a pleasant experience. The window faced another wall, leaving us without any view or sunlight, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the chair in the room had a fallen skin that hadn't been repaired, making the surroundings look dirty. The service provided by the staff was also below our expectations. We encountered issues such as inadequate room cleaning and were even asked to pick up our own pillows in front of the front desk. Another inconvenience was that the property couldn't provide us with a payment invoice. These issues significantly impacted our overall experience during our stay.

If I travel again to Japan I will definitely look to stay at a Dormy Inn. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The rooms were small, but typical for Japan, so travelers should keep that in mind (it was not an issue for our group). We were centrally located and close to restaurants and the main shopping area. The highlights were the excellent breakfast buffet which included freshly prepared Japanese dishes - soup, grilled fish, rice, tempura, pickles, salads - and some more western items - croissants, toast, eggs. Free late night ramen and ice cream were also a hit. The onsen was a treat; two hot tubs, a cold pool, and sauna. Excellent value and helpful staff.

Staying at a quiet room at a very convenient location, but the view from the room was not great.

Location is very convenient. The room is large enough. It was good the bedroom is separated by a door from the entrance, cloak, bath room, etc.

View from the window was nothing, which was unfortunate.

Drier should be free since in most cases the guest only use it for 20min. And coin is quite inconvenient for guests. Provide a coin exchange machine or accept credit card at 2F will be better for international guests.
