A stunning couple of days of peace and quiet in one of the most beautiful places you are likely to find.

What was not to like about Dunshee. The property itself is is to access from the main road, some 100 odd metres down a lane. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the upstairs apartment that we had was spacious, immaculately presented and had everything we needed. Sue was a most gracious host and her breakfasts were superb. She went the extra mile by leaving pieces of freshly baked cake for us to enjoy after a day out and about. She is an amazing lady and has a number of talents that we touched on briefly.

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

we would recommend it and come again one day! it was a pleasure.

The apartment was very clean and Cosy. it has a little kitchen whitch was unfortunately not good equipped. but unless, it was a very nice stay with a lovely host. Sue is a very nice person, has good advices and she even washed our laundry.

the kitchen has no oil, vinegar, or other spices.

Nice and central place to visit Skye Island

nice and cosy room, very comfortable, excellent breakfast and welcoming

it’s not an independent cottage, to be considered as excellent bed & breakfast (2 rooms upstairs in a private home) . not possible to cook, no restaurant nearby

Visit to Isle of Skye

Everything, location, 20 miles from Portree, beaches nearby, restaurants nearby but book in advance. Dunshee was amazing, our accommodation was outstanding, loads of room in the living space which had the kitchen off the side. Bedroom was a nice size with loads of hanging space, and bathroom was a nice size. Breakfast was brought out to you by Sue at the time you requested and laid out on the table, continental breakfast was perfect for our needs. We spent two nights here, and would highly recommend and when we next visit this would be our choice.

A perfect stay on Skye

This was our favorite accommodation of our entire stay in Scotland. Our host was very warm and accommodating, and the attic rooms were spacious and comfortable. Also, the breakfasts were some of the best we had. Just a few words of advice for Skye: Try to book your dinners in advance, as there aren't many restaurant options in the area and many close on Sundays/Mondays. Also, make sure you have plenty of gas before you drive to that side of the island, as the local gas station sometimes runs out.

Everything was lovely. The location is great for traveling in Skye. The room and the dining area were very clean and very nice decorated with everything you need. The breakfast was great and tasty. Sue provided us lot of information with things to do

If you read the reviews for Dunshee, you’ll know to expect comfortable lodgings with warm hospitality. That is exactly our experience. The room was cozy, and the bathroom had all the modern amenities. The breakfast was fantastic! Whatever magic that they do with porridge is simply divine. We hiked every day, and per our request, Sue packed us sandwiches—which included a savory chutney made from tomatoes from her garden. Yum!

We loved our 2 day stay and a great place to settle down at night after sightseeing

The location was perfect, the little mini suite was just perfect too, comfortable bed & wonderful shower. Sue was very helpful in booking an evening meal at a local restaurant which was beautiful. The breakfast each day was fantastic. Would highly recommend Dunshee & the porridge !!

Cosy suite with great host and breakfast

The host was really welcoming and lovely, the suite was comfortable, spacious with a great comfy bed and an amazing hot shower. Breakfast was great, we didn't know porridge could taste so nice.

Fabulous

The apartment was lovely and Sue was brilliant letting us know all the best places to visit. Such a bonus that she includes breakfast even though its self catering as it really sets you up for the day, like all other guests you must have the porridge as it’s amazing.

Lovely two night stay

Wonderful two night stay with Sue & Warren, lovely cooked breakfast and the porridge was delicious ! Nothing was to much trouble for Sue, would definitely stay again if up on Skye .. thank you Dave & Stella ( the man who likes bacon with his fish ) 😁

Amazing Skye

Had an amazing time at Dunshee. Sue and Warren were the perfect hosts. Beautiful apartment with the comfiest bed. Would definitely recommend Dunshee to anyone wanting the perfect trip. We can't wait to go back.

Helpful and Informative Hostess who cooks super good Breakfasts!

Excellent breakfast, tailored to our timetable each day (one day we had to be up early for the Ferry to Harris). Good lounge and dining table facilities, with a fridge and a kettle. Sue is very friendly, and offered advice on walks and trips on and near the island.

A microwave/cooker would be a great addition, to allow a self-catering option. It is hard to get into restaurants on Skye without significant advance booking.

Really lovely B&B. Modern, immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were attentive & friendly and even made us up a continental breakfast to take with us as we had to leave very early! The bed was really comfy and the B&B was in a really lovely and peaceful spot. Will definitely stay again

The host was welcoming and thoughtful and the property was cleaned thoroughly and COVID safe. The property itself is really cozy and well-kept with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is good with free on-site parking and homemade breakfast daily was also a treat!

Lovely Stay at Dunshee

We had the most lovely stay this past weekend at Dunshee. Sue made us feel right at home and gave us great advice as to where to bike and places nearby to visit. The suite was spotless and extremely comfortable (we especially loved the luxurious shower!). The home cooked breakfast was top notch — complete with the worlds best porridge and a delicious scottish breakfast or smoked salmon with eggs and herbs. It honestly felt like our own little sanctuary for a couple days. We wish we could have stayed longer!

A great base to explore Skye

We stayed in the self contained apartment on the ground floor. The provided a spacious lounge and bedroom and also came with a bathroom and kitchen. We cooked two nights and ate out two nights whilst there. Sue took our order for breakfast the night before and would serve this at our table in our lounge the following morning. The garden has table and chairs for sitting out on assuming you can cope with the midgies. Great location about 2 miles from Dunvegan village and approx 30 mins from Portree.
