Property was so cozy, clean and in a great location! There’s a history behind it which made it extra special. Would definitely stay there again.

The Skeabost Wood Cottage was exceptional! The big windows brought the outside in and the skylights in the bedrooms brought the stars in at night! We did not want to leave!
There was nothing not to like!

This was probably the best equipped place we have stayed in. Everything was fantastic. Lovely crockery, cutlery, furniture , linen , beds. Lovely decor- the right balance of old and new. The location was fantastic. I’d thoroughly recommend staying here

This place is GORGEOUS! Very spacious for our family of 4. Kitchen was so well-stocked and we enjoyed the many games there as well as the Netflix. A short drive into town and to many scenic locations (Trotternish Loop, Dunvegan Castle, etc). Just a perfect place to unwind! Highly recommend!

Skeabost Wood Cottage was a lovely, charming cottage. It was well designed and decorated. The family room has a fireplace and comfortable seating. The bedrooms were comfortable with cozy beds and ample closet space. Bathrooms were nice and updated. The kitchen was well equiped and large. It opens onto a dinning area which has large picture windows to view the lovely surrounding countryside. The cottage is definitely the perfect location to explore all of Skye.
We have visited Scotland for 6 weeks and Skeabost Wood Cottage has been our favorite lodging.
Just wish that we had had more time to stay on Skye at Skeabost Wood Cottage.

Fantastic cozy, comfortable, clean cottage. Located within a few miles of the busy capital of Portree BUT away from the crowds. There is a grocery store a few miles away (Co-Op), in Portree. The personal family touches/decor made you feel like you were witnessing a little Scottish history. The cottage is decorated with a lovely blend of old and new with fun touches of the Highlands-local soaps and goods/decor showcasing the adorable Highland cows. Our family of 3 (adults and teenager) thoroughly enjoyed our stay-it served as the perfect base to explore the Isle of Skye. The beds/sheets/appliances are of high quality. The kitchen is very well appointed and it it came in handy because many of the local restaurants we found were fully booked or closed as we were finishing our day/s of exploration. I didn’t recall seeing there was a washer/dryer BUT we were thrilled it did! I actually don’t think the pictures do the property justice….it is surrounded by green with views of the fields for miles. The nearby 2 person pod looks perfect if we were to have had another couple or older children with us-just a stones throw from the house. The host/s were very responsive. They do provide instant coffee and tea BUT there is a French press & Moka pot-just bring ground coffee & don’t forget to try the fresh, local cream. Would love to return. Thank you for the bubbly & treats!

the cabin was huge and really fantastic. the decor was excellent and the kitchen in particular was very impressive. the open plan of the downstairs area really created a fantastic sense of space. the floor to ceiling windows give spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
the property is very difficult to spot in the dark.

Very spacious and comfortable cottage. The location is great, very central in Isle of Skye and an ideal basis from
which to do some exploring, whilst also being in the middle of nature. The kitchen was very well equipped and the fireplace is a really nice touch.

Tastefully appointed, clean, neat and tidy. Amenities were of high quality befitting the interior décor. Location made it a good base to explore Skye.
Location a little too close to the main road made sitting out on the deck less peaceful. Could consider moving the property name signboard from gate to fence to make identifying cottage easier.

Fixtures and fittings lovely - beautiful pottery etc.
Welcome message & gifts from the hosts a lovely touch.
Extras left in kitchen.
Our only slight disappointment was the separate annexe, which was one large wooden-clad room, so no separate bathroom facilites and also a little damp.

Lovely modern house with stunning views. Really enjoyed watching the sun come up in the morning. Close to Portree and easy to get to other parts of Skye. Appreciated the small things like having soap, washing up liquid, etc in the house. Kids loved playing in the woods. A great break, thank you!
