The design, light, comfort, and thoughtful hosts.
The ‘untidy’ surroundings (some landscaping would make a huge difference)

This place is absolutely perfect! We kept saying this is the best place we've ever stayed in. The hosts are brilliant too. They let us know everything we needed to know, and they were quick on the replies if we needed anything. They left us a lovely care package when we arrived which was so thoughtful. The place is better than the photos and we couldn't have asked for more!

The lodge was fantastic. Everything was simply perfect. Communication with the owner was excellent and queries answered promptly. The welcome pack on arrival was the best we have ever had and greatly appreciated. It even had our favourite bottle of wine! Everything was high quality. It was spotless and smelt lovely. It was well located with a huge Co-op only a few minutes drive away which was handy when we didn't want to go out for tea after a lot of trekking. It had everything we needed and more. A real home from home. We had such a fantastic stay and would happily return.
Can't fault it! Wish we could have stayed longer.

The welcome pack was awesome. The lodge was very clean. Great views and extremely relaxing place to stay. We travelled to Skye to elope and had the best time. The lodge was just the perfect retreat for us and the bottle of bubbly and congratulations card from Deborah and John was a lovely personal touch. We'd definitely stay here again.

Unique property on Isle of Skye. Could spend hours looking through those windows at the weather, wildlife and scenery. Beautiful place.

The lodge is in an lovely quiet location with stunning views and perfect as a base to visit Skye. High class fixtures and fittings. Comfy beds and warm duvets, the underfloor heating made it really cosy . Very clean with linen and towels included and other lovely touches such as soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. The owners had thought of everything anyone could need including torches, books and games. Wi-fi worked perfect and we even spotted deer in the "garden" at the back, lots of birds to see too! The bathroom is beautiful with plenty of hot water (love the tiles!) for the shower. Thank you so much for the welcome pack too. The lodge is located about a 5-10 min drive to the big co-op and petrol station in one direction, a 2 minute walk to the bottom of the drive to the Red Skye Restaurant (book first) and about a 10 minute drive in the other direction to the mainland. What an amazing stay. Sadly we didn't have good weather (strong winds and 2 days of torrential rain) though that didn't stop us exploring this beautiful Island - I think we covered most of it and even managed a boat trip with Misty Isle from Elgol Harbour. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - Highly recommended.

Stunning little lodge in a great setting, the mountain view is incredible and it's just off skye Bridge.
Genuinely nothing, although a light on the sign by the drive could be helpfull for those who arrive in the dark, but we still found you easy enough after a quick spin around by the small whiskey tasting shop.

What is there not to like. When we first looked at staying in the area, Breakish was not our first choice, however as soon as we saw Lorien Lodge it was an absolute must that we wanted to stay here and it was the perfect place to stay. The welcome hamper on arrival, the location was perfect for our needs. The accommodation was kept well and is of a high standard and felt like home. Unfortunately the stay here was just too short. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again. Thank you to the hosts for making our stay so pleasurable.

Location was superb, pity it rained all of the time we were at Lorien Lodge so we did not fully appreciate the view. It was lovely and warm when we arrived, very clean, spacious and a well equipped kitchen. There was also a lovely welcome pack.
It was a shame that as we only stayed one night, we did not get the full benefit of the welcome pack as we had already bought some of the items, i.e. eggs, milk etc.

This was quite simply the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. It was amazing. The lodge is stunning. Every little detail has been thought of - there was nothing else you could possibly want. The food hamper provided was great. And the views from those big windows were something else.
