The owner was kind and knowledgeable but the room itself didn't have a true window. It was a small

Breakfast not included. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent location.

The location is perfect! The place is lovely and tidy and Maria is a great host! I would definitely stay here again!

We would come back just because of Marie, but the rest is also absolutely great.

The hostel is in a quiet location but the historic centre is only a few minutes' walk away. The host Marie is incredibly nice and helpful. We had a very good time in Melaka thanks to her tips. The hostel was totally clean and tidy.

Hote incroyable et logement parfait pour découvrir la ville.

Hôte incroyablement gentille et serviable. Plein de bons conseils pour visiter la ville, le pays et même plus encore !! Faites lui confiance pour les restaurants aussi Hygiène impeccable. Fruits, thé, café à disposition. Salle de bains commune (eau chaude ok) et toilettes très propre. Nous recommandons et reviendrons sans hésiter. Climatisation OK. Emplacement parfait (calme et proche de tout).

Il n'y avait que la petite chambre de dispo (on le savait), on est clairement dans une cellule de prison entre 4 murs = un peu juste pour deux. On apprécierait une petite cuisine équipée et un frigo pour pouvoir cuisiner et manger sur place.

Best place I’ve ever stayed!

Best place I’ve ever stayed! The host was amazing. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. The place is very clean and cozy, walking distance to all the attractions. I highly recommend it!

Feels like home!

Maria is an amazing host! She is super kind, gives you a lot of information about what to do, and the guesthouse is super super clean! The bed was comfortable, the room big, the a/c worked really well and you have access to free water/coffee/tea. The location is perfect! It's in a quiet street at 5 minutes' walking distance of jonker street. You can even wash some clothes and hang them at the balcony. She has every very well organized and it felt like home. Definitely recommend staying here. She is wonderful and her husband is also very kind! I was waiting for my Grab, but first he was stuck in traffic (weekend), and after he got out of the traffic jam, he went north instead of south. I was going to miss my bus and therefore her husband offered me a ride. I still missed the bus, unfortunately, but it was super kind of him, and I really appreciated it!

I liked everything! But in case you're looking for a place to meet other travelers, then this isn't the best option. At my first night, there was a couple staying, but the second night, it was only me. I loved it, though.

Value for Money

Overall excellent place located within walking distance of Jonker Street. Place was clean, aircond and shower works well. Worth it and will definitely return again. Host was kind enough with suggestions and provided good tips.

Lovely place with great hosts

Maria was a lovely host making us feel really welcome and constantly giving us tips on what to do. There was a small kitchen with hot and cold drinking water and free coffee/tea. Bathrooms were always clean and AC worked well. Location was great, just a 5min walk to Jonker street.

The room we had was a little small and there was only one plug socket away from the bed.

Fantastic location. The owners were very friendly and nice. The aircon was powerful. Bathrooms were kept clean. Quick walk to Jonker Street.

Superb

Close to the main attractions, restaurants. Clean and comfy, with free water, coffee and tea. Relatively basic, but I had everything what I need. Great choice!

Stay. Mung and Marie are exceptional hosts. You will not regret it.

Mung and Marie are absolutely exceptional hosts - without doubt the very best I have experienced in 5 months of traveling in Asia. I stayed 6 nights and Marie intuitively knew what sort of traveler I was and had lots of wonderful suggestions about things I might enjoy. She was right. I can’t recommend this place or it’s hosts more highly.

Top top value

Friendly / hospitable couple running the place made me feel welcome. Easy to find , good value for money , super clean , spacious bathroom and kitchen area

Only minor points which for me would improve the place for a 10 out of 10 . A Fridge in kitchen , sheet provided in bedroom ( only a blanket ) but considering price no problem. Would have been happy to pay more especially if things mentioned were provided .

Kind and helpful owners. Supreme cleaning and tideness. Intimate and very well located. Highly recommended! Rate8 Is less than pillohouzzze deserves. It s excellent in its semplicity

Just no window in the room but It has been written . Maybe put a light near bed. No addesd linen bed but we really didn't ask the owners ( beautiful people) Nothnig to point out!

Puts the "home" in "homestay".

Maria, the guest was extremely friendly and helpful. I had a cold during my stay and she got me some throat medicine and always asked whether I'm feeling better and if we need anything. She noticed my wife likes fruit so she brought some from her father in law's garden as a gift. The whole place was immaculately clean and tidy.

The room could we stayed in could use some shelves or hangers.

Maria is a very friendly host, it’s one block away from jonker street location is great ! rooms are basic, clean, good AC, nice and quiet area, free coffee/tea facilities.

Great, clean and quiet place!

We had a great time with Maria and her husband, they made us feel very welcome and were always kind and helpful! Even though the walls are thin we had not much noise disturbance. The place is very clean and inviting.

Some small things would improve the stay even more: a few more tables or shelves to put your things on both in the rooms and bathroom, a few comfortable seats or cushions in the common area.

Great place to stay

Guesthouse is very central, just a few minutes walk from all the main attractions. Rooms was very clean and spacious. The Host Maria is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
