To cut the story short, stepping into the place felt like traveling 50 years back in time.

The best thing about the residence was its location. It was a short walk to the bus, subway station, and tramway. All the famous bazaars, including the Spice Market and the Friday and Wednesday markets, were accessible in under 20 minutes by public transport. Reaching Taksim Square and other popular sightseeing spots was also incredibly easy.

We were disappointed with our stay due to several issues, primarily the lack of communication from Mehmet, the owner. He was unresponsive to our requests, making it difficult to address even basic concerns. For instance, we asked for additional lighting in the living room as it was too dim, but our request was ignored. One day, the water was shut off from 4 PM to 4 AM, affecting all 18 group members. While this was due to a municipal issue in many areas of Istanbul, Mehmet had received prior notice from the authorities but failed to inform us. This lack of communication caused significant inconvenience, leaving us unprepared for the disruption. Additionally, the bathroom on the ground floor lacked a radiator, making it uncomfortably cold during December. The cleanliness of the property was another major concern. The bath towels, especially on the first floor, were filthy, with one even having a large mud stain as if someone had stepped on it. We had to wash all the towels before using them. Additionally, the cooking utensils were extremely old and encrusted with stains, making us unwilling to use them. The living room areas, particularly under the sofas and in hard-to-reach spots, were extremely dirty and littered with debris. Above all, when we entered the kitchen on the first floor, there was an awful, putrid smell—almost like a decomposing body. We couldn’t initially pinpoint the source of the stench. After searching for a while, we finally discovered that the bottom of the fridge was filthy and was the cause of the foul odor. We spent over three hours cleaning, using a generous amount of bleach, to eliminate the disgusting smell. It was horrible. The Wi-Fi was generally decent, but the connection in the ground-floor bathroom was extremely poor. Overall, the entire building and its furnishings need renovation, with everything being replaced by new items.

La a 4-a revenire. Recomand !

Am rezervat a 4-a oară locația. Asta deja ar trebui să spună totul. Începând de la locația foarte bună , apartamentul fiind situat în zona Aksaray , cu magazine pentru aprovizionarea zilnică, foarte aproape de stația de tramvai Yusufpașa și de stația de metrou Yenikapî dar și aproape pentru deplasarea pe jos până la Bazar , Piața Sultanahmet( 20-30 min dacă nu zăbovesti la nenumăratele magazine sau tarabe ). Ideal pentru 3 familii , cum am fost noi , situat la parter cu o terasă izolată exclusivistă de cca. 40 m2 ) , cu 3 camere , 2 băi , bucătărie utilată cu aragaz , cuptor cu microunde , frigider , mașină de spălat , tacâmuri și veselă și un hol larg cu televizor, internet și aer condiționat. Foarte curat , paturi confortabile . Proprietarul , domnul Mehmet , un om foarte jovial și discret , receptiv la orice fel de solicitări scrise în turcă pe watsap , prezent doar la momentul check-in-ului , asigurând astfel intimitatea și discreția sejurului. Totul cu un raport preț-calitate excelent. Vom mai reveni cu siguranță ! RECOMAND !

l'emplacement proche du tram. Quartier calme. Logement pratique pour un groupe d'amis

un rafraichissement de la salle de bain serait nécessaire et renouveler le linge de maison

Really good size apartment

Really good size apartment. Host was very helpful. Good location.

Property does not have lift so found a little challenge. Little diy required in the kitchen. Bathroom did not have any toilet papers.

Good for young big families

Location was good ,spacious and clean, friendly host

Steep stairs , no elevator ( i was in 3rd floor) Few things needs maintainance or fix and the host is not available so i have to wait and he will come on his own time.

Near tram station, nice house with kitchen, two toilets

Some beds were not comfortable at all. The lamp in the toilet not working. Already told the owner but still not working.

The hotel was in the center of the city and everything was available. Many places of interest are near the hotel and the area is quiet and beautiful. The hotel has all facilities and has everything. Very Good .

Very convinient and worth the price. Among the cheapest for family stay in Istanbul. Very near to the tram station. Plenty of eateries - just ask the owner

Location wise as taxis are horrible in Istanbul. Advisable to take private car or use the public transport

We had some issues with our apartment the first couple of days however the host was very understanding and resolved our

I liked the location, there was a tram station only 2 minutes away and a underground station around 6 minutes away. The host was also very kind and welcoming.

The location of the apartment near to Train Station a lot of Restaurants near by, also Historic Mall with working distance. The Host Mohamed Amin he help to repare bathroom door which lock was damage.

The apartment is too old clean Is fair, the Furniture are old and not clean. apartment with 3 beds only one bathroom. The curtains need to be replace which you cannot sleep due to the sun inter the room. There is gas line which pass through the apartment and also there is no smoke detection. Also there is No lift to carry bags to 3 floor it was very difficult and we managed by ourselves.

The host and the location. The host was pleasant and very helpful and the location was easy to get around

The apartment was disappointing on entering. It was not like the pictures on Booking.com at all. It needs a bit of TLC to make it a nice apartment. It just looked tired and worn with dangerous looking insects crawling all over the place.

Spacious and quite apartment with good transport connections nearby

Place was clean, had the ground floor with a beautiful terrace, totally quiet place to recharge after long days of sightseeing. Very close to tram, metro lines and Marmaray so can reach quickly any part of Istanbul. Lot of cheap eats nearby, very tasty. Sufficient supplies in the house - tea, salt sugar, kettle, pans, towels. Matrasses and pillows were comfy

Well the place is basic, but for the price it was more than good!

The owner was available, the house was exactly the same as the photos. the position of the house was enough good to access the metro and bus

unfortunately during the accomodation we had problem with electericity( zone problem) and obviusly internet but the owner was enough available and finally he solved the problem.

The apartment is near to the restaurants, bakery and 10 minutes by walking away from metrostation and shooping mall ( Historia mall ) . The apartment is secured, the water and electric supply are not interrupted.

The location of apartment is good, not far away from the restaurant or metrostation . The rooms of apartment are tight.

pics looked much prettier than reality

- location was ok, not exactly close to the main attractions but within a reasonable distance to restaurants and public transportation - host was nice, though didn't speak much English - price was good

- not so easy to find the location with taxi - the place was a bit old, and it took a day for the heating to actually warm up the rooms - the pics looked much prettier than reality
