Very nice accommodation right on the equator. Close to the town of Kasese and near Queen Elizabeth National Park, also close to the equatorial monument. Spacious room, spacious bathroom, and dining options available.
Very low water preasure in bathroom.
6.0 / 10.0
Overall the experience was lacking, so will list a few good things. The accomodation had two beds with mosquito netting, bathroom with open shower, and had a covered deck with breakfast table and lounge chair. A standing fan was provided in the room. The chefs seemed professional, made an excellent banana flambe for dessert. The grounds are pretty and the wall keeps out predators (saw a hyena a few miles down the road). It is a 20-minute drive to the Kasenyi entrance of Queen Elizabeth.
Quite a few negatives:
-Had to open the gate for our own car, no one came to the gate
-No hot water
-Housing design allows for mosquitos to get in between walls and roof - mosquitos are common in this area, though
-Checkin staff was short at best, rude at worst to my driver while on the phone
-Given a two-wing chicken wing, potatos, and greens dinner since we arrived later at 8 PM - we were told dinner would be simplified due to late arrival. $25 USD!
-WiFi was weak then stopped working 30 minutes after arrival
-Mold, or at least dirt, appeared on the pillows and sheets of one of the beds
-Had to fix the toilet to get water flowing
I do not excuse this experience, but can only think they don't get many guests in December and bring in staff only when someone books. Dinner is usually around 7 PM, meaning an 8 PM arrival has everyone staying late. No excuse given the cost and higher-end appearance of the place, and I hope the conditions are better when the place is more busy.

Out stay at Wild Tracks couldn’t have been any better. The manager and staff have been super friendly and helpful with planing and organizing tours and activities in and around the national parks.
The cleanliness and love for details makes the Camp a beautiful resort.
Last but definitely not least, lunch and dinner have been really good.

Alfred and Albrecht were true gents, always helpful and forthcoming.
The wifi did not reach the cottages

Firstly, the staff at the property could not have done more to take better care of us during our stay. Alfred, the manager, assisted us with directions to the hotel, bookings in the park and supported us in repairing our rental car. He went above expectation for us and we couldn’t have been more grateful. Albright in the bar/restaurant was attentive and kind. Steven, the chef, prepared great meals for us on demand - the packed breakfasts for early morning drives were exceptional.
The location of the property is a perfect base for the QENP. Around 5 minutes from the equator and the crater lake drive and around 10 minutes to the nearest park drive entrance.
The room was comfortable, the shower was hot and we’re grateful for the hospitality.
There’s nothing we didn’t like but some things for those booking in further to be mindful of:
- the property is accessed by a very bumpy road. 4x4s are essential
- cancellations of bookings have a huge impact on small properties such as this one when done last minute. All food is bought freshly for each arrival etc. and the hosts were explaining that they were never sure if guests would turn up or not.

The manager was very kind, arranged safari’s and lunches/dinners for us. They upgraded us to a very nice cabin.
The location is incorrect on google maps and booking, triple check because it was a 2 hour detour!! Camp was completely empty except for us.

Nice location, the owner helped us to do a safari tour. Clean house, friendly staff
Unfortually you couldn't pay with card, so we had to get some cash money in the town nearby. You couldn't find it on the website that you couldn't pay with the card.

I booked on behalf of friends - David was responsive and very helpful in the booking and looking out for guests - connectivity am told - it is a beautiful location, ideal for Queen Elizabeth Park, helpful staff. Connectivity can be an issue - so if driving yourselves, check you know the route before setting off!

This is a beautiful lodge in a great location to visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, close to many of the important attractions and near Kasese for an ATM. The staff is amazing, and really made our stay unforgettable. The manager Alfred was of great help planning our trips and personal guide. The (family) cabin was gorgeous, spacious, and very comfortable and clean. I can recommend this lodge wholeheartedly.
it would be convenient to be able to pay with a credit card.

The rooms are big, comfortable and beautiful. The location is really quiet at night and has views to the lake, really nice. Kitchen staff were really friendly.
You can only pay in cash, quite inconvenient.

Great location and lovely views
Food a bit overpriced
5.0 / 10.0
The staff was very hospitable and eager, arranged dinners with special ambiance and gave an upgrade for the second night.
The pictures on booking give a more positive impression than it is in reality, therefore the price for a tent is not reasonable. The road to the place has huge bumps which can be difficult for normal cars.

- Staff is very friendly.
- The manager was always at disposal, very professional.
- The meal was delicious.
- Our Lodge waa very comfortable. Beautiful terrace
-there should be better (bigger) signs on the road ndicating the camp

The food was enjoyable and the accommodation was incredible.
The service and attention to detail could have definitely been improved. We requested help for a birthday cake and our requests were not at all listened to or understood which resulted in quite a bit of confusion and disappointment.

This was one of the worst stays I ever had at a hotel. No hot water, no internet, no drinking water, no soap. The staff didn't accept credit card and was very selective with the USD we were trying to pay with. The staff was not helpful at all and made for a miserable stay.

Alfred, manager, was very friendly and helpful. Staying in cottage (family room with bathroom) was amazing. During night I felt like I was in the middle of the jungle :)

The food was tasty and breakfast on the balcony was amazing. Alfred and the crew took good care of us and were super accommodating even on the night we got in super late. The rooms and the bathrooms are very nice. Its only a short drive to get to the park. Would definitely recommend staying.
Nothing.
