The cottage was very nice and clean and spacious. The rooms were very nice and large. Nice washer and dryer. Nice hot tub. Enjoyed our stay

It was nice. Loved the scenery, and the cabin was well-kept. Only real thing that bothered us was that the floors were kind of dirty when we got there.

The house is in good condition and well taken care of. Very clean, but not private at all. Houses are close by on both sides.
The hot tub was murky and definitely didn't have any chlorine in it, which was disappointing since that is specifically why we chose this house over others.
I-74 runs directly in front of the house, right across the river. It is extremely loud at all hours of the day and night. Full-size trucks engine breaking shake the house.
The dirt road leading to the house is 1.5 miles long and not maintained whatsoever. Meth houses along the way, park their broken-down cars along the road making some areas nearly impossible to pass. It takes a full 15 mins minimum to make the 1.5-mile drive if you don't want to destroy your vehicle. I would not try it in anything less than a full-sized truck and 4-wheel drive in the winter.
This was my first experience with Vacasa. They are a great hosting agency and I will definitely use them again; however, I will not be going back to this property.

The house itself was good but getting there is another story all together. The 1 1/2 mile un-maintained single lane gravel road is a killer, you will need a truck or even a 4x4. The river in the back of the house is great to look at but the 24 hour traffic zooming by on highway 74 at 65 miles an hour is deafening. The sounds of the road bounces off the mountain, onto the river and directly in the house. We even tried to drown out the traffic noise by using the fans, as a previous guest suggested, it did not work. I couldn’t imagine peak season traffic,
After arriving we found out the tiny hot tub had to be drained and it was 60 degrees. It took a day and a half to heat up.
Very disappointing

Great place! I would definitely stay again!!! ♡♡♡

The house is beautiful. And I would stay again, however being so close to the highway it is very very loud when you’re trying to sleep. One of the beds the sheets were not changed and we found half eaten rice Krispy treats under the bed. The two twin beds as advertised are small roll a way cots. Not what we were expecting . These little hiccups can be overlooked. Just a little extra attention to cleanliness. Cleaning is not something I wanted to do at 10:00 at night after a 6 hour drive and especially what we were paying for it. The road down to the house is very narrow and scary if another car is coming the opposite direction and the road is really bad when you go by the junkyard house. Make sure you have a vehicle that is higher off the ground or you will scrape the bottom of your car on the road. We had a good time all In all. The house has everything you need. Dishes were plentiful and in great condition. Extras provided laundry soap and dryer sheets, dishwasher tabs, hand soap shampoo conditioner and plenty of kitchen and bath towels. We were a family of 5 and didn’t use everything. It was a nice little house. Check it out for yourself.

When we first entered the home, there were roaches and ants along the kitchen floor. There was also strands of black hair in both showers as if they hadn’t been cleaned in between stays. The one thing that sent me over the edge was waking up the next morning and having 30+ itchy red bed bug bites all across my upper body. The second night, didn’t have anywhere else to go yet, so tried to stick it out in the other bedroom…. Same thing happened. Now I have over 50+ bites all over my body, including my legs. Host has been ghosting me, and has not yet given me a refund and says they will only refund me the cleaning fee. Not to mention I left the next day after the occurred so I didn’t spend the remaining 2 nights at the place since it was unlivable. Terrible service, property manager has yet to call us back after repeatedly calling for 3 days straight. After sending pictures of all my bed bug bites for proof, all they had to say was sorry for the inconvenience and we will send these pictures to the maintenance team. If you would like to get bit by bed bugs and waste money definitely choose this place!!

Home was advertised as being secluded, but although the road to the house was off the beaten path. The house is within 100 feet from the hwy 74. All night all you hear is truck and cars from the hwy. Other than that the house was great.

The house was great and we loved the view. The road getting there was tricky and not for the faint of heart.

My daughter and I loved staying here! The hot tub was lovely, we also got our own rooms, with our own bathrooms. The TV had a roku stick so we could watch all our shows in down time. Its also in between bryson city and cherokee, so we were able to visit both places as often as we like. It was also close to the NOC. It was modern with modern appliances, with tile floors and had a great TV. It was very clean and comfortable!

My family loved staying in this home right on the river! It's close to Cherokee as well as Bryson city. Plenty of things to keep us busy! With friendly neighbors and a beautifully furnished house, it was perfect. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

The place was very clean, had everything we needed to make a home cooked meal. Kept up with newer appliances. The only thing that took a little time was the driveway. Was scary at 1st but after several times got used to it. Definitely if ever going back to North Carolina that is 100% where we will stay
LOVED IT!!!!

Price was reasonable, location was good but not wonderful because of route to get to house. Cleanliness was A1.

House great close to river and highway. Gf and I really enjoyed. 30 minutes from groceries. 120 cleaning fee kinda steep for 2 nights but would go again if staying longer.

The cottage was really nice we only had minor issues such as the water had a terrible odor to it our entire stay I reported it the first night I was told someone would be out the next morning to fix the issue but no one ever showed the mile dirt road was also no exactly what I pictured but it wasn’t too bad

I loved EVERYTHING, except for the driveway!! The house is VERY well maintained, very clean, very cozy, beds and pillows are super comfortable, the porch is great, the river was fun for the grandchildren to fish, the fire pit was perfect for smores and the hot tub was a hit at night after a long day! Solution to the traffic noise that some reviews complained about is to turn the fan on that they provide you with in each room. We did not hear a thing! Definitely recommend if you own a truck or SUV that sits up higher than my compact car.....

The property and house were beautiful. The issue was only one TV was connected to cable - the TV's in the bedrooms were only connected to DVD players - needed to play movies only - didn't take any with us.

The house was lovely, the interior looked just like the photos HOWEVER, what the outside photos not show is that on the other side of the river is a highway and you will get to listen to tractor trailers all night. The hot tub is in full view if the highway. After driving 15 minutes through the woods to get to the house we found ourselves not in a paradise of privacy but with a railroad track at the driveway and a highway. Again, the house was clean and lovely BUT (see our photos)

I enjoyed my stay here. I stayed here as part of a motorcycle trip. A previous review said "it was not biker friendly" referring to the access gravel road, but it was not that bad. I was able to get in and out in my very large Honda Goldwing with no problem. It was a little tricky but fun.
Road noise was not a problem with me but you can definitely hear it. Other than that, I highly recommend it.
