Grounds need up keep.
We didn’t have water several time. Contacted owner. No offer for compensation.
Overall nice place.

Considering the house is at 4400 feet elevation it’s fairly easy to get to. Very access to BRP.
The downstairs bedroom and bath room are heated by electric portable heaters if your staying in the winter it may be cool downstairs

The property was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We really liked sitting out by the fire, and hanging out on the porch as the weather was beautiful. The view of the valley was amazing and you could see for hundreds of miles. Sunrise and sunset were breathtaking. Would definitely recommend this property for a weekend getaway, and close proximity to the Casino in Cherokee as well.

Nice place to stay with some great views. Kitchen was solid, plenty of space within the house itself. Firepit was a nice to have. Dirt roads to get into the community were very manageable (we were there in the spring), but would recommend a vehicle with higher clearance.

Tucked away up a mountain road with a beautiful view this was a great location to stay for a family ski trip to Cattaloochee.

The cabin was a perfect for our family Christmas vacation. The mountan views were spectacular. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We were there during the recent artic freeze, our truck registered -13, and the space heaters downstairs were able to keep it warm even with five solid days of below freezing temperatures. The road leading up to cabin is well maintained. And the directions Alissa provides are accurate. We did find that Wayze and Apple maps were correct as well. I would love to come back in spring or summer, I bet it's even more beautiful then.

The views were spectacular! Beautiful new sliding glass windows made it easy to enjoy the views from the couch. You can also enjoy the views from the covered deck area. The home is centrally located but away from all the noise making it a peaceful place to rent. Easy check-in process. Well stocked kitchen for enjoying homecooked meals.

This home is in a heavily wooded, very quiet area. Drive to the property is a bit of an adventure, my kids loved it! Definitely recommend driving an SUV with AWD or 4WD, you'll need the ground clearance. Home is nice, and priced right. Great view, comfortable beds and furniture. Kitchen was good, everything worked well. Grill works well. Could use a bit of maintenance on the staircase, and a few of the windows and doorwalls were difficult to open, or close correctly. The owner Alissa was great and very responsive to any questions or issues. My kids enjoyed going to the playscape a few times, which is a nice little walk to tire them out. Met one of the neighbors who was very nice. She told us to check out Water rock knob, which has a great view with a nice hike to the top.

The cabin is perfectly located for those who love hiking or simply drive around to enjoy beautiful views of the smoky mountains. It sits less than 2 miles from the blue ridge parkway. We enjoyed the deck and the view very much, for our coffee in the morning and in the evening relaxing on the rocking chairs after few hours of hiking. Gorgeous sunrise for the early birds. We were 6 adults and plenty of room. The beds were extremely comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped, we did cook every night.
The communication with Alissa, the owner, was very good. Alissa is very responsive.
The access of the cabin was not as bad as we were expecting. Many places to pull over should you meet another car. Explanations to get there made it easy. IMap works well too, just continue another 50 yards after it tells you you have arrived.
We definitely recommend this cabin and if our journey brings us back in the Smoky Mountains, we will rent it again. And our cockapoo loved it too.

It needs some upgrades and the outside needs to be dump after every rental ours isn't
Needs ac downstairs, trash needs to be dumped after every rental ours wasn't, it can be cleaned some more, no light bubs in garage so you can't see nothing and the stairs needs to be fixed

Perfect Solitude
The owners were very responsive and everything was as described. If you are uncomfortable on single lane winding mountain road this is NOT a good pick for you. If you love being off the path it is amazing.

Beautiful views fell short by mediocre service
My family recently enjoyed our vacation in the GSM. We have three teenagers that were excited to use the game room. The game room was one of the factors for choosing this property. Unfortunately, the light did not work. We contacted the owner who did respond , but the light was not fixed which meant we couldn’t enjoy the room. This was disappointing. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. It is a peaceful property. With beautiful views.

Great getaway
this house has a beautiful long range view from the deck, and is a genuine escape from busy lifestyles. All that can be heard are sounds of nature.
The property is very clean, LR furniture and master bedroom are definitely comfortable. (We didn't try the other beds!)
The landlord was very friendly, checked in with us to be sure all was well during our stay, to be sure we had all we needed.

We loved this cabin.
We loved the cabin. We had an issue with the downstairs toilet upon arrival but it was fixed. It was easy to get in touch with Alissa and the problem was fixed. We would stay at this cabin again!

Great House and View
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is cozy and inviting, especially with the stove on. It was truly a peaceful getaway and really close to some great hikes. We loved sitting on the porch and rocking while taking in the view.

Best Views guaranteed
Best views guaranteed from this cabin. Cabin was very secluded and private. Apple maps works best for directions, Google Maps get confused. We have all the needed utensils in the kitchen. Bit of a drive to get groceries - so plan accordingly. We had blast with all the board games & Ping-pong table. Looking forward to visit again.
Just a small note: Owner instructed us about 4WD/AWD. Due to last minute planning, we couldn't get rental and drove our Hyundai Sonata and getting in and out of cabin was bit trouble - Sedan bottom is touching the edge of the road.

Perfect getaway!
Beautiful views! True mountain living! The property was as secluded as the pictures suggested. It was exactly what we had hoped for and Alissa was super helpful when small issues arose! Highly recommend this cabin!

Awesome ski trip
This rental worked out great for a short ski trip. It’s exactly as pictured. The setup was great and the owner was very helpful. The sheets, towels and mattresses were great. Very comfy able and homey. I loved the wood burning stove - so easy to figure out. The road is as described so be prepared for that. The downstairs is not in the HVAC but they had a great heater once we figured it out :) Very close to skiing and tubing - about 15-20 minutes. Quiet and relaxing home! Thank you!

Beautiful stay!!
This cabin was exactly as described, the views were even more beautiful in person. I'd definitely stay here again :)
Location: Nestled in the woods of Maggie Valley, this cabin had the best views and was very secluded and private. However, getting there was quite a challenge on the first night and the driving directions shared by the hosts were absolutely necessary and accurate. Do not follow Google maps. The location was perfect for access to local Maggie Valley hiking and waterfalls (Socco Falls is a must see) as well as other hikes 1-2 hours away, and Asheville. It is a bit of a drive from the main road, so I'd recommend getting all essentials/emergency items before driving up.
Amenities: It had all that we needed to cook and relax, the only thing missing was firewood which the hosts apologized for and recommended a local store to get pre seasoned firewood. Alissa was super quick to respond to our questions.
Pet: Our 4 year old Aussie had a blast exploring the property and surrounding areas
Price: I think we paid a premium due to holiday season, but I thought it was a bit overpriced. The kitchen looked like it was updated recently but the bathrooms seemed a bit dated and the game room could have been cleaner also. I'd still rate this 5 star though coz it didn't matter so much to us.

vacation stay
We enjoyed being able to take walks with our pets as well as the whole family. The neighborhood is quiet. You could sit on the porch and have a grand view of the smokey mountains. Everything was as the owner described.

Great views, short rides to excellent hikes & overlooks
This was the first trip to the mountains with my son and it did not disappoint! The view from the cabin was even better than the pictures we saw in the photos that attracted me to this place. Full amenities with a nice grill, wood burning stove, full kitchen, excellent porch, and a fire pit with outstanding day and night views.
This is an ideal location for people looking for convenient hikes and beautiful overlook spots on the Blue ridge Parkway. No doubt I’d stay again!

Amazing Views Cozy Cabin
We had an amazing time in Maggie Valley. The Cabin had a million dollar view. Maggie Valley had so much to do and so many great places to visit. Great local restaurants and fantastic people in town too.

Negatives were no furnace so the upstairs only got to 65 & downstairs about 55-60 & VERY musty. Only TV to watch shows was in the living room & without any pay TV services (Netflix, Prime). View was nice but windows were too stained to see through. Also, we had to box up our food so the mice wouldn't get into.Positive was very private setting,, clean, great beds & hosts were quick to respond when we blew a fuse.

Amazing smoky mountain getaway.
Our 5 day, 4 night stay at this property was amazing. Getting to the cabin the first night was a little nerve racking but following the instructions from the owner brought us right to it. The wood stove will keep the house nice and cozy and is easy to start and keep going. The beautiful views from the porch will make you want to spend your entire stay at the cabin. The owner was incredibly helpful and communicative and I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again.
