Pleasant
Property was beautiful, better than the pictures. Views were fantastic, it had huge windows (shudders) with no glass or screen that opened outside from each bedroom, there where 3 bedrooms. There was WiFi, slower than usual but it was available. More modern compares to other CR homes, kitchen had basics to cook if you wanted. Beds were comfortable.
Location was bad, really high up on the side of the mountain off dirt roads that are not maintained at all,are steep narrow that you may need to move to the side to let others pass, and they have no lights. We had a 4x4 SUV and almost ripped the bottom off, you need a higher vehicle and lots of patience. It’s hard to find, the instructions given really don’t help much, use the app Waze or you’ll be lost. You’ll need to drive down to Montezuma and the falls, despite being close the roads are dark, steep and rough you wouldn’t want to try walk in the dark anywhere on them. Windows are waist high so you can literally jump into your bed from outside, however they got no screens so anything else can crawl in there as well. We found a scorpion in one bedroom. So at night you need to close them and the house is unbearably hot to sleep. Each room has a huge ceiling fan but it doesn’t help at all, it’s very hot and the house is located in a way to have all the nice ocean views but not the breeze. It advertises that there’s a/c which is not true, there’s only 1 unit in one of the 3 bedrooms and the owner has it in fan mode, so no air for your stay. We complained and were told it’s a new unit, they’ll sent the company to fix it... that didn’t happen when we were there. And there’s No hot water to shower, it’s cool from wherever it comes from, none of us 4 could stand to wash our hair, so I’m thankful we were there only 2 days, as we only got a very quick rinse off. There’s also a tiny TV that doesn’t work either, couldn’t find the remote not sure if it had any channels, we where told remote should be there but it wasn’t.
