Beautiful interior design. The interior design has been well thought out down to the plates, forks, seashell shower, throw pillows etc.
Staff was nice.
Breakfast was very good and not the same both days which kept it interesting. Its rare to find fresh mango juice like that.
It was cold at night and there wasn't a heavier blanket or throw blanket. Being cold in the Caribbean in Mexico isn't a common problem, but it was 15-16 degrees at night during our stay.

Diseño de las intalaciones rustico contemporaneo.

Icaco is not worth the name of hotel, you get a room which is in the middle of 2 busy roads. Upon arrival there is a gravel road as a driveway, you have to carry your suitcases as you cannot roll them. We booked a Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View, in reality we got a Single Room with balcony and road view. The room is described as whole unit on first floor, however, it is divided into ground floor (sitting area) and second floor (bathroom and bedroom). The pictures all look beautiful, but in reality you get something else. So the rooftop pool was a postage stamp size overlooking the road and no place to stay in the shade on the terrace.
The room is described as Deluxe double room, however we got a bed 1m14 wide. How can you even offer this as a double room? We kindly asked if we could get another room. There were no rooms available so we asked to cancel. At the reception they could not help us with this and we were referred to contact the manager via Whatsapp. That response was anything but customer friendly. They admitted it was a small bed, but canceling was not possible.
The shower looks fine at first glance, there is an ornate shell, however this makes showering impossible. Water drips out randomly so that it takes hours to completely shower.
The security also left much to be desired, the door cannot be locked properly, there is no one at the reception between 9pm and 9:30am.
Breakfast comes somewhere between 8 and 9:30 am. You cannot specify in advance what time you want your breakfast. When we got to the room in the afternoon, breakfast was still there full of ants!
Finally, the location: if you want to get to civilization it is at least a 30-minute walk. You can rent a golf cart, take a cab,... The hotel is on a very busy road so through traffic can be heard until 2/3am.
In short, the room is not worth its money, no reception, not customer friendly, pictures give a different picture than reality, small bed, bad shower, and so on.......

Booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 7. Beautiful property in a good location on the island. Would highly recommend it.

the hotel manager, facilities, rooftop, and the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable

The rooftop was a definite highlight - was supposed to be for the entire hotel but most days we had it to ourselves. breakfast being delivered to the room each morning was also a unique touch which we really appreciated.
Nothing!

We were super happy with our stay at Icaco Island Village. We live in Quintana Roo and have been n short breaks to Isla many times, so we know what great value is. The best part of our stay was the reception we received. This made our stay! The staff in general were lovely and attentive but in particular we want to mention Adhara, the reception manager, who was so welcoming and friendly. She responded quickly to our every need. we loved the fact that we were able to leave our bags in reception from 9am on the day of arrival. We chose this property because it is away from the busy north beach area. 30 min walk or 5 minute drive from the center. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the decore is well above average for the price. We had a nice private balcony with an amazing sea view. There is also a lovely roof deck with amazing views of both the sunrise and sunset. We always rent a scooter of golf cart for our stay which is a must and gives us the freedom we need to explore the island. The property is in front of one of the main roads and you need to be aware of this. We are ok with the sound of mopeds etc. going by. Apart from at night, don’t expect it to be super quiet. In our opinion that’s part of the charm and hustle and bustle of a small island.
Nothing worth mentioning.

I love the BoHo style the room has going. The reception lady Adhara was amazing, not only is she friendly, but she catered to our every need; if we needed a golf cart rental or a taxi or suggestions on where to eat, she was there to assist. The breakfast is amazing and is deliver to your room. The location is great and the hotel catches the best views of both the sunset and the sunrise. You have some views of the beautiful ocean and a comfortable hammock right outside your room and the pool area was perfect for the privacy we desired. we stayed in room number two and the water pressure was great and the hot water stayed on long enough for us to shower comfortably. they provide robes and slippers which we didn’t use but were provided. We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Islas Mujeres. UPDATE*** Adhara on a personal note went out of her way to meet me off the ferry port to returned to me a personal item I left behind in the room. I will forever be thankful for that kind gesture. She went out of her way to do for us. Thank you.
I loved everything about it.

We stayed in 3different places in Mexico during our holiday and this was the best!! Super clean rooms, amazing bed and breakfast is in room service with a great view to the sea! Breakfast was a big portion, fruits croissant and fresh juice and yogurt with granola, very delicious!! Receptionist lady was very kind, gave us recommendations where to eat etc, called us taxi whenever we needed. Cleaner ladies are very nice and thorough, our room was immaculate every day. Rooftop is very nice with the small swimming pool and sun beds. Location is great, we rented bikes once and other days just walked, it’s not far from the center and the beach. I can only recommend this place! Very professional staff and comfortable rooms:)
This place is perfect!

The staff is exceptional and they were very responsive to any of my needs. The room is lovely and spotless! The view of the ocean across the street was fabulous! The rooftop dipping pool and patio was so wonderful!
I didn't realize that it was across a fairly busy street from the ocean and frankly, the photos are misleading. I would also have loved a big water bottle on the upstairs floor or in the room.

A small boutique hotel in an excellent location, far from the noise and bustle of the center, the view from the room is perfect, the room is large and stunning just like in the pictures. , the breakfast is served to the rooms but a little poor.
The breakfast is a bit disappointing.

The property is exactly like its pictures - it’s clean, spacious, comfortable and the staff is very friendly
The rooms on the ground floor do not have ocean view. So we upgraded to king bed rooms which was on the first floor. The door would not lock easily and the shower is a little weird as water will flow through on the sides.

Beautifully designed rooms with unique features which make your visit to the island as unique experience as possible. Really helpful and kind staff who helped to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfasts are excellent and such a lovely touch. Reuested a special welcome for our honeymoon trip and the hote went above and beyond to support this abs made the room look beautiful with added touches.
it was a little out the way of the main areas of the island and was easy enough walk in the day however not so much in the evenings. Some of the unique features such as the shower heads were ok however didn’t make showering as enjoyable as normal shower. nice feature though.

Style is beautiful, just as pictured.
A very delicious breakfast was provided in the room.
The location is quite inconvenient, with no access to the beach. You definitely need to plan your logistics in advance and think of your transportation options.
The internet connection was very poor.
No 24/7 reception desk.

Staff were so helpful, the room was beautiful, the rooftop was amazing and breakfast was really nice
The shower has not very good pressure

Adhara the manager considering the limits of her ability to provide top service when the property lacked the resources
noise , space , limited breakfast, no tent working poolside for shade , no snacks to buy knowing you are away from the center , no paper towels
5.0
Adhara and the entire personal were extremely friendly. The room design was nice.
Apart from the street which was extremely noisy, there was a constant sound of the power generator close to the hotel. We unfortunately could not relax and sleep properly. The bed was not comfortable.
5.0
It's a beautiful boutique hotel. It is not on the ocean although you do have an ocean view.
ants were all over in our room, road noise is crazy loud but is drowned out by and the super loud generator fires up at around 10-4am! Do not except much sleep. TV never worked in our room. We moved to an oceanside room in a different hotel and the generator and road noise was no factor.
