We had a very warm welcome from Jenny and Tanya. The cottage is very comfortable and had everything we needed, including breakfast supplies and a cot for the baby. A lovely peaceful area surrounded by fields, our daughter loved waking up and saying hello to JJ and Stevie the sheep each morning. Tanya kindly booked us in for lunch at The Royal Oak pub, which is walking distance from the cottage and does fantastic food. I'm sure we will be back to stay again!

The host was excellent and took care of everything, we could relax and enjoy every minute of our holiday. We'll certainly come back if we come to England again.

Perfect location for our needs visiting a local opera evening East access off motorway or A30
Nothing - everything good and loved meeting the two ‘resident ‘ sheep !

An absolutely beautiful location, couldn’t have been more perfect.
We were going to a wedding nearby and found it a little tricky to get ready without many mirrors. A full length mirror in the bedrooms would be a great addition.

The cottage was very comfortable, very spacious for a family of 5 adults and a large dog, it had everything we needed for a short break. The local pub was a good find and the surrounding area was beautiful with lots of walks.
Nothing to dislike

Super friendly, accommodating and helpful hostess. Thanks Tanya for the early check in and lending us your own saucepan so we could cook our ragu! The kitchen had plenty of tableware, chopping boards and cleaning supplies. The cottage was well stocked with a thoughtful breakfast hamper, plenty of towels and even a welcome sign. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.

The property was very spacious and bright. Our host welcomed us very well and it was a nice addition to have a few breakfast items available. Tanya went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay from allowing us to have a later check-out to sorting out Sunday pub lunch for our group. Also loved interacting with the beautiful sheep nearby

Great welcome, beautiful and peaceful location and ideal for a family of four. Great base to explore.

It was super easy to collect the keys on arrival because Tanya was waiting for us there. She has given us a tour around the house and the retreat center, gave us the tips for the dining and sightseeing. We really felt warm welcomed! There was everything we needed in the house and even more (like toys for our baby, a sheep that our daughter was excited to visit once a while, etc).
There was nothing that we didn't like.

Excellent location - quiet and peaceful, kitted out with all you could need for self catering.

The breakfast basket was a wonderful treat - milk, fresh bread, butter, muesli and oats as well as tea and coffee. Tanya was really helpful and kind, explained everything we needed to know on arrival. Picked up messages and responded promptly if needed. Having all the odds and ends you may need provided, washing up liquid and cleaning products, washing machine pod and clothes airer and rubbish bags. I liked being able to recycle my rubbish too. The enclosed garden space allowed the children to run around and the larger play field was great for kicking a ball around. The Children adored the pet sheep and it became a ritual to say good morning and good night to her.
Nothing really - for us maybe a slightly more modern TV so we could have plugged in our fire stick, but no big deal, it was nice to spend family time together not having the TV constantly on the children's channels!

It was such a lovely, well presented, and clean. Tanya was so friendly too, will definitely be back again!
Nothing, it was amazing!

The cottage is positioned in a gorgeous setting with open fields. It’s quite and peaceful. It was very clean.
The cottage is very dated and in desperate need of refurbishment. Although very clean our surroundings looked and felt old and over used. We found ourselves struggling with basic things like taps not closing or opening properly. There isn’t a dishwasher at the property which in it self isn’t really a problem for us but not having a dish drainer rack as well was quite annoying. We noticed the cutlery and dishes were not as clean as we would have liked and this was probably due to the lack of a dishwasher, everything we used had to be hand washed before hand. We found the pillows were stained from years of over usage, luckily we were able to put extra pillow covers on which we ended up buying. The host was friendly. My wife felt bad for the pet sheep being all alone we suggest perhaps a mate might make his life nicer as they are pack animals not meant to be in solitude.

It is a beautiful cottage run by very friendly and kind Tanya. It's surrounded by amazing scenery and the sheep Jamper (living on the site next door to the cottage in her own paddock) is very cute and friendly. We loved our stay, thank you!
