The cottage was clean comfortable and well equipped
The hosts Julie and Steve were very pleasant and helpful
The Hot tub was brilliant

Inside it was lovely, the bed is two twins pushed together tho so if you want a cuddle one of you is in the join. Mattress toppper would help. The hot tub is great.
Be aware this is not as relaxing as it looks being on a working farm which also has a lot of caravans so be prepared to wake up early with the animals, dogs barking and machinery going back and forth.

Hot tub was amazing, really comfortable bed, great facilities:))
could do with a better chopping board but otherwise perfect

quite area near a beach

The hot tub. It had a washing machine & dishwasher. Plenty of kitchen space. Plenty of hot water & a good shower. Easy Parking. Comfortable sofa. Apart from the bathroom tiles the place was clean.
The bathroom floor tiles were very dirty, I had to get on my hands & knees & scrub them. Only one tiny shelf in the bathroom, not even enough space on it for a wash bag. The bathroom wall tiles were also not very clean. Nowhere to put suit cases. Insufficient coat hooks. No plug sockets for a hair dryer that were next to a mirror. Only one bedside table. No internet.

We absolutely loved it! Great for a couples get away. We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better place. 5 minute drive from local pubs and amazing walking routes. Also only 20 minutes from other villages nearby. For the price, this place is phenomenal. Lovely kitchen and living space, bedroom was nice, quiet and comfy, shower and bathroom were great. Thanks again for our lovey stay

I liked the location of the cottage and liked the hot tub. Julie the owner was really nice and friendly. I liked that there was a cooker, microwave and fridge available for use.
Couldn't use the table as it was unsteady and seemed very old. The settee was uncomfortable and gave no support. Felt the hot tub had strong chemicals so our skin really smelled of chlorine even after a shower. First time I have experienced this.

We loved the wet room and the provision of white fluffy towels was an unexpected bonus. The extra wide bed made for a restful night's sleep for both of us! The conversion of an old farm building was beautifully done and the skylight made the open plan living/kitchen /dining space feel lighter and more spacious. We used the information supplied by the hosts to book a meal out at the local hotel and a trip on the steam train from Ravenglass - both a great success!
As we were are not users of hot tubs, the property's USP was wasted on us ( we prefer a cooling dip in a lake after a long day's walking!). The fencing used round the courtyard to give privacy (which it did perfectly) unfortunately screened any view of the green spaces nearby. I know it would make for extra upkeep, but to have large tubs planted with palms, ferns, tall grasses etc, would make the outdoor area more relaxing for those using it just to have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

Another fab stay and again we didn’t want to come home. The cottage is perfect, clean and homely and the hosts friendly and unobtrusive.
The hot tub really makes the stay more luxurious.

Greeted by Julie who was lovely, helpful and attentive.
The hot tub was amazing after a day out walking the local area.
The beach being a short walk away, was an ideal location for a picnic and for me to propose to my beautiful partner.
Great places to eat, with warm and friendly locals.
Accommodation was spotless and had everything we could want for the perfect weekend getaway.
Julie giving us a bottle of prosecco on hearing of our engagement.
England losing on penalties.

We visited because my husband was doing the C2C cycle run.
It’s a great base as he had to be up early and he just had to cycle a mile to the start line at Seascale.
The owners were friendly and immediately showed us how to work the hot tub obviously knowing that it would be the first place we would be.
It’s situated on a working farm so the cows have conversations at all times of day, but it was nice just to hear that and the birds singing instead of traffic.
Would love to return one day and hopefully the weather will be a bit kinder to us.
Sofa was well used but that wouldn’t stop me from going again.

Everything you need in a self catering cottage, the shower is really good and the hot tub is fantastic

We had a fabulous mini honey moon and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. The cottage was lovely, warm and just right. The hot tub was fantastic and made the trip so luxurious.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely hosts, and a fantastic location, close to the beach. Very peaceful, would also be a great place to camp. Not a far drive to sca fell pike and many other places in the area to see. Cannot fault, accommodation was spot on for 2 people. Perfect shower/wet room. Brilliant hot tub and was getting emptied to be cleaned and refilled the morning we left.
Only fault was the hot tubs had to be out of use by half 9 and half 7 on last night there, but it is understandable as they work on a cleaning system.

Nice quiet location . The cottage had everything you needed and the hot tub really made it special.
Didn’t really see Julie or Steve but with covid restrictions and minimal contact etc . The hot tub was turned off at 9.30 pm , other than that would highly recommend

The hosts nd property were brilliant, log burner lovely touch and the shower was fantastic along with the hot tub of course
The pillows on the bed could have been better as they offered little support

Clean, comfortable, cosy and the hot tub was amazing. We had a lovely walk along the western side of Wast Water. Owners were very friendly and good communication. Hopefully we will be back next year.
