Overall, the location and surrounding areas, and lack of facilities are what brings this hotel down.
It was clean, and it was quiet. The staff were helpful.
We were there for a week and we had been given one tiny bottle of shower gel, and bottle of shampoo and conditioner. If we wanted more, we were able to purchase larger bottles in the shop. There was also only one and a half rolls of toilet paper issued. The hotel stated that it had laundry facilities on-site, and while this was technically true, they had two washing machines and when were there only one was operational. There was a sign saying that it was awaiting repair, and judging by the condition of the sign, this was not a recent sign. In a long-term hotel with a large number of guests, one washing machine with no queuing or order system was a joke. See also the times taken to use the dryer (approximately three to four hours) and you don't want to leave your wet or dry clothes in the machines, so you have to take a large part of your day out to just stay in the hotel. Perhaps while you are in the hotel you can use the games room. Which consisted of one pool table (missing a black ball), and four cues (missing the tips, and no chalk), and enjoy the old jukebox which when switched on sounded like it was going to take-off. The location was the big issue. I know you may think that using google maps shows that there is public transport, but the first stop is a 15 minute walk, and even then that is a bus which takes you to the tram, which leads to the city centre. So you really end up walking 30 minutes every time to and from the tram stop. There is a lack of bars or restaurants close-by so this is your only real option for accessing food places.

Great Value Apartment Outside the city centre
I have to call out Robert on staff as being very friendly and attentive, he is excellent at his job and really got my stay off to the right start by allowing me to check in early, Thank you Robert. The apartments are bright and spacious, the shower was decent with hot water always available, my bed was made up and my towels replaced at least 3 times in the week I was there, which I was very happy with. The room had a microwave, which I made use of but I would have preferred a hob to do some actual cooking. There was a TV with plenty of channels available and a handful of English language channels too, including BBC. I made use of the gym, which was adequate. It consists of 2 treadmills, a rowing machine, 2 bikes, a weights machine and various kettle bells. The gym also has changing rooms. There is a games room, where you can hang out and watch TV or play a game of pool. The laundry room consists of 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, there are also several irons and boards. It was great to be able to wash my clothes during my stay. This hotel was half the price of anything I could find in the city, this is because it's outside of the city but it is still well connected. At the airport I took the 195 bus to Badhoevelaan, from there it is a 10 to 15 minutes walk through a small park and on through a residential area to the hotel. When travelling to the city, I walked back to Badhoevelaan and got the 195 bus to Lelylaan station, from there I got the no. 1 tram into the city. Or you can walk along the canal into the area of Sloten, cross the bridge and turn right after the Crossfit gym to get to Oudenaardeplantsoen and get the no.2 tram from there straight into the city. I also travelled back from the city both these ways. Late one evening, I got a taxi from the city back to the apartments, this cost me €40. On the last day I got a taxi back to the airport, this cost me €17.50. There is a Lidl 25 minutes away from the hotel and a small garage a 2 minute walk away.
I would say you should be very mobile and enjoy walking if you would like to stay here, alternatively rent a bicycle or rent a car. You will need some form of transport.

Very nice.
The rooms are very nice, clean, spacious. The beds very comfortable. There is even a washing room available. The area is beautiful, by the river and peaceful. The only downside is that the Hotel is located just outside the Amsterdam ring for public transportation and the connection with the city is very poor and very expensive (Amsterdam has really bad and expensive commute solutions). At the end used Bolt as main transportation as being a big group it resulted convenient. If you are having your stay to be in Amsterdam, it is not convenient unless you have an electric car or are willing to use Taxi solutions.
Bad commute connection.

Challenging, but knowledgeable.
Two staff called Felicia and Levi. Despite some unpleasant experiences, they compensated me accordingly and I am pleased with all the help and support that they offered me.
I had some experiences, but because of the help of two staff, I can’t fault the hotel.

Simple leisure and quiet time
If you are looking for a quiet place with simple standard this place is a place for you, staff are very friendly and offer assistance. A place suitable for long stay , be ware though old info said that bikes are free but you have to pay for these, and its expensive to hire them. Also the images on their site are not really realistic, it looks different in reality, expect simplicity. The food market does not have any\much food either. There is good access to the center, the area is nice though if youre staying here a week be willing to fe cycle or walk, you can walk to the Sloten mill, there is a cheese farm and take away. To go to Amsterdam its most likely best to cycle too but the Dutch traffic is known to be hectic. For some reason when we were there it was super quiet which was great for us!
The room did not match the expectations so my advice is show it in the pictures online. Ours only had a very small table with two very simple chairs. But it clearly was not really that clean. There was a green pillow with stains on one of the beds. There was only a tiny dustpan and duster.

Decent hotel but not much to see or do in the neighborhood
Rooms were very nicely decorated and laid out. Had a laundry room and game room on the third floor where I was staying so was very convenient in that sense. Also had a small mini mart downstairs which worked for us on arrival day in a pinch😎
The trash from the the last customer was left in the room. I gave them notice the same day but it was not removed until cleaning day which was seven days later. The trash basically sat there the whole week. We kept that cabinet closed to say the least 😒

Loved our stay at amarath hotel, the location is quiet and the tram is a 20 min walk away that leads straight to the cit
the hotel was clean and quiet, we felt very safe staying here as 2 young females. The 24/7 shop was amazing so convenient and greatly priced. Would definitely return again!! Loved every second of it.
as we stayed for 9 nights, the washing facilities could use a bit of an upgrade/ clean. One out of the two washing machines didn’t work, and the smell that came from the washing machines was pretty off putting. It left our clothes smelling weird. But we are aware this is a short stay hotel, however if you need to stay here for a while, consider going to a laundry mat or something else.
