Decent location but would not stay again, not value for money in our opinion.

Location was good. Handy to trams. Quiet location.

Heading suggest beautiful apartment - not how we would describe - Upon arrival the steps up to the apartment were very steep and narrow. Fine if it's two of you but not a family of 4 travelling for 5 weeks with lots of luggage. There is no cooking facilities at all which was very disappointing. Not even a microwave. Only a toaster and kettle. Lighting in the apartment is very poor. The steps up to the very small bedrooms are also extremely steep, difficult to get big suitcases up and no alternative to leave downstairs as there is very little space. Every faucet leaked bar the one in the kitchen, the tap to the washing mean drips A LOT. This was noted on a review from 12 months ago and has not been repaired. There is mould on one of the bedroom curtains and the window in the bedroom to the right does not close properly (also noted on a previous review). Not ideal when travelling in January! FYI The supermarket suggested that is just up the road (Albert Heijn) does not accept major credit cards, only cash or Maestro cards which is fine if you're from Europe however we are not and learnt this the hard way, once everything had already been scanned. We paid over $300 a night for this apartment overall value for money not there. Also noted in a previous review it feels almost like a shared space as you come in immediately you open the door and look as though you have walked into someone else's apartment as there are coats and clothes on the hanger!

l'appartement est spacieux, calme et idéalement situé, près de tout finalement; Location de vélo la rue derrière, supérette à 50m, parc à 5mn à pied;; Arrivée et départ très souples : accès facile, à n'importe quelle heure (retard de notre vol du soir) et clés disponibles dans un boîtier sécurisé à disposition.

Si vraiment il faut noter un point à améliorer, je ne vois que le manque d'un tapis de sol à la sortie de la douche ! Et s'il y avait eu une terrasse ou un balcon (appart au 1er étage) ce serait au top !

Was ok.

Cute little apartment great size for 4 travellers for a few nights.

Wasn't that clean. Bathroom had wet tissue in the shower floor & there was hair everywhere, had to clean ourselves. Bed sheets wern't particularly clean. A little far from the city centre. About a 1/2 hour walk but could catch the tram. Very loud outside the apartment with building work & noisy neighbours.

The location ( very close to Vondelpark and museums) was great.

The apartment is very cramped, with nowhere to put suitcases and no hanging space for clothes other than a few hooks here and there. We had to use the second bedroom for our cases and clothes. The light switch for the downstairs toilet is outside the apartment. The apartment was clean, but the paintwork and fittings are tired.

All the ratings in this review are for the Air BnB listing "Spacious 4P Nassau Canal Apartment"

We didn't actually end up staying at this apartment because it got double booked. So we got bumped to another apartment, which at least we got rebooked the day before traveling, but that unit was just OK for 2 nights. The biggest downside was the half roll of toilet paper, which for a family of four didn't last long so we had to buy our own. Kind of silly considering the amount of money we paid for the rental

DO NOT STAY HERE.

The only positive thing to say about this apartment is the location, the neighbourhood is great and close to public transport.

When you enter the apartment complex you are confronted with a smell in the foyer, which is dark. There is a sensor light which barely lights up the area and does not last long. There is a door to the left which we assume was for another apartment. Then there is a small set of stairs that lead to the accommodation which has an angle in them and was difficult to get suitcases around. At the top of the stairs there is a private apartment and the holiday apartment. There is no outside lock on the actual holiday apartment only a hook inside, meaning just about anyone could get in while you're out. The apartment is on the small side, very dated. Downstairs there is a small couch with TV, second toilet, kitchenette, dining table. The sink did not even have a plug. Steep stairs leading to upstairs with two small bedrooms, bathroom and laundry. Lighting is poor all throughout the apartment, the light did not work in the laundry. There was a wardrobe at the top of the stairs which did not have any hanging space and a safe underneath it with no key to open. When we used the washing machine it leaked water on the floor. The bathroom had mould, and started smelling only after two showers. After the washing machine leaked we sent a message through to the owner/manager, who we still have not heard from or met. We went out for the day, nothing was fixed. That night my husband and I went out for a couple of drinks, our 17 year old son stayed in the apartment, while we were out someone was trying to get in unannounced. Our son was freaking out and called us. We left the next day. This place should not be available at all.

Good location, mediocre stay

Good location near tram stop, coffee pods were provided, quiet space.

Door to our specific apartment did not lock from the outside and was shared with at least one other tenant, which made us uncomfortable. Narrow staircase up to the room wasn't lit and at night quite dangerous. No house manual provided, we had to ask for the WiFi information and for the heating to be switched on. Slow replies and we did not get any heat until day 2. Heat was then switched off again and we had to awkwardly ask for it to be switched back on. No tea towels in kitchen, pillows were quite uncomfortable.

location and charm - beautiful little hidden back street that was peaceful and yet so central

the fact that the apartment cannot be locked separately from the rest of the property. this is very poor for security and meant carrying around heavy valuables that could not be left. a separate lock is definitely needed.

Pleasant

The apartment was very well equipped and there were many extras, like a hair dryer and a hair straightener. The bathroom and the wc were clean. The location was also very convenient.

The rest of the apartment was not very clean. There were yellow stains on our sheets and the plates, dishes, and cutlery were dirty so we had to wash them to use them. Also, half the lights were not working like the one over the kitchen table. Lastly, the front door of the apartment cannot be locked even though there are other renters in the building which made us feel unsafe leaving the house. While in the house, we could keep the door shut with a bolt.

The location is great. John was a wonderful host! He offered us a welcoming drink and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation for dinner. We had a king bed and the mattress was so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment close to the city center

Perfect location. Very close to the city center on foot. Very nice, clean, and comfortable apartment. Well equipped kitchen if you want to make some breakfast. Easy check in and check out.☑️ The communication via messages was really fast!

Only one Minor issue: the 'box' in the shower that contained the shower gel did not work so we couldn't use it. But it could happen to anyone. I'm sure they will fix it for the next guest 😊

Great value for money !

Great location, 10 min walk to the bus that goes directly to the airport (397). 20 min walk to the historical center. 10 min walk to museums. Value for money is amazing!

Relaxed weekend in central Amsterdam

Cozy 2-bedroom-apartment in a lovely neighbourhood in central Amsterdam. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were well equipped. Easy check-in and check-out via key locker box.

Perfect little apartment

We loved our stay here. The apartment is very homely yet spacious and well equipped. Location was great, with a tram stop literally across the road and plenty of places to eat and shops in the neighbourhood. Vondelpark and the museum square are a very short walk away. The apartment was spotlessly clean, nice comfy beds and a lovely bathroom with a bath and separate shower. As 2 teenage couples, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone looking for a private apartment in a quieter part of Amsterdam!
