The location and ability to have breakfast on the terrace, with birds singing was lovely. The room facilities were good, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Nice to stay in a farmhouse with history with gardening / farming going on.
It may have been because we were there just at the beginning of the season … there was a smell of dampness in the room, particularly in the kitchenette area. Helped to air out the room before night.

Unique setting. If it hadn’t been raining the entire time, I would have liked to explore the entire farm bc there was a lot to see. And Antonio is the kindest, most generous host. The complimentary fruit, wine, meat and cheese, and fresh bread each morning just took it over the top.
Nothing!

The Quinta was beautiful, historic, charming. We loved sitting on the large patio with table and chairs and an umbrella overlooking the garden. The room was spacious, well designed, rustic yet totally comfortable. All kitchen appliances and tableware were provided. We loved the very comfortable bed.
A large bowl of beautiful fruit was there for us along with a bottle of wine and breakfast food. Rolls were left for us daily.
The family chapel and the grounds including sheep and grape vines added to the beauty and uniqueness of the place.
When no taxi arrived at the train station, Antonio kindly picked us up.
We loved everything.
Something to be aware of - we didn’t have a car and a taxi to Viana do Castelo cost $23 euro each way.

This is truly exceptional for the price. Beautiful small solar with lovely chapel. The rooms have been recently renovated and our king bed was extremely comfortable. The aesthetic was simple and peaceful which highlights the great old bones of this beautiful property. The shower had great water pressure. Wifi worked fine. The wine made from the grapes produced on the property was very refreshing. Our host was very gracious but never intrusive. We stayed here after a red-eye flight into Porto and it was wonderfully rejuvenating.
We have absolutely no complaints.

A beautiful heritage house, our bedroom in the main house was elegant and beautifully restored. The property is 25 mins from both Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castillo so perfect for touring the wine areas along the river. if you turn left outside the property and drive for 5 minutes you can walk in a Parque de Valinhas. The house is lovely and Antonio is a great host, make sure you see the family chapel. we stayed four days, going out all day and coming back to this lovely sanctuary every evening. a perfect stay.
History, style, family owned, lots of thought and care to make our stay a delight. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in the area

Fabulous large basket of fresh fruit picked mostly from the garden. I opted out of the continental breakfast since I am gluten intolerant but the owners offered me fresh farm eggs instead. A delicious bottle of wine made from the vines on the farm was also here to welcome me. Good quality cooking appliances provided with everything I needed.
I have no complaints.

Great location, in a nice quiet spot.

I loved the accomodation because of its connection to the hosts family first and foremost. There was nothing to fault as far as comfort, spotless cleanliness, delightful furnishings and above all else the generosity of our hosts. A bottle of wine and a generous fruit basket on arrival and breakfast dropped off every morning. The grapevines on the property were in full autumn colour and we walked right around the outside of the property to enjoy the feeling of the place. A visit to the old family chapel was a great pleasure.
The property is within reasonable distance to Ponte Lima and Braga etc.
