Great location, far enough for peace and quiet but close enough for convenience.
Right on the beach. Lovely staff.
Complimentary bikes. Good air conditioning.
4.3
One of the nicer places we've stayed. Loved the pool, the bikes and the cute bungalows.
Showers had low water pressure but was actually hot. Mosquitoes got us good but that's common in this area.
4.3
Clean and tidy and good location!
Nothing!

The colours make it stand out, really relaxed vibe.
The water pressure from the shower was very low.
4.3
Complimentary bikes
There were cockroaches in our bedroom and the cleaning people stole cash from us.
The price was also quite high compared to the other places in Caye Caulker.
The staff was able to give us a small refund because of the issue with the cockroaches in our room, which was appreciated.
However, we wouldn’t recommend to stay at this place.

Beautiful location. View of the sea from our room. A self catering apartment with gas hob and oven, big fridge/freezer and coffee maker. Complementary bicycles to ride into town which was only half a mile to a mile away anyway.
The decor and all the facilities were a bit tired and could of used a little TLC. The TV only had signal from an Amazon firestick and neither me or the maintenance man could persuade the remote to work. I even downloaded a fiestick remote app to my phone but still could not access the firestick so no TV.

We liked the property. Bicycles were provided and it was centrally located.
This property does not respond to e-mails or phone calls to the property. Very unresponsive. I had accidentally double booked this property and I had to struggle to get in touch with the person in charge of refunds. Once, I got a hold of them, I was informed that I would receive a refund but I still haven’t; even after getting assurances from them personally.
Lastly, outlets in the room were severely damage and questionable for use.

The little bungalow on stilts was sort of standard issue on Caye Caulker and could be thought of as a tiny house. Very comfy queen bed, marble-esque floors, solid AC, two windows and a little porch with a clothes line so you can dry your swimsuit and drink a Bellikin beer. The communal kitchen features pots and pans, dishes, and utensils as well as a toaster oven with burners on top and a dispenser of hot and cold water. Handy in the morning to make your own coffee and scrambled eggs. The hotel has a sandy front (nobody has actual beachers) and a dock with swim steps and a couple of hammocks at the end. It's sort of at the end of the southern line, close to the teeny airport and walking distance to the greatest of the restaurants and the little stands and dives--Big Lu's burgers, Anna's meat pies, and Pelican Sunset's lobsters. Bugs, the lady who manages the joint, is very accommodating and helpful, even returning my library books for me as the library wasn't yet open the day I left.
Although every accommodation comes with two bikes, ours were rusty and ramshackle so we rented some proper ones down the road for a day, but ended up walking everywhere. And the SAND FLIES are very bitey, so be sure to get off the sand by around 3:30 and take your shoes off before you go back inside. These suckers are vicious! The only thing that went wrong is that we lost hot water on our last day, but otherwise, it was a great value.

Good stay, nice staff, free bikes and decent small room
Room was small

Everything. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. The location idyllic, private beach with a jetty giving access to the Caribbean Sea. Close to everything but peaceful and quiet. Facilities fantastic with big communal kitchen, towels and even a cool box for the private beach. Lovely towels, hand towels and face cloths. Everything was lovely and clean. To top it off a lovely pool. An outstanding place to stay.
Nothing

L’emplacement était très bien et le prêts des vélos très appréciables
La chambre un peu vétuste ainsi que les équipements intérieurs et extérieurs

Nice little bungalow, great A/C, appreciated the common area fridge etc and use of free bikes. You can tell updates are being made around the property.
The pillows on the bed were gigantic and the beds were slightly uncomfortable. Nobody came to empty the garbage in our bathroom while there, and since we were there for 4 nights and couldn't flush toilet paper, the smell became a bit unpleasant. Hot water was touch and go in the shower, mostly non existent. There was construction happening next door, which I understand they have no control over, but a heads up would have been nice. It started each day at 7:30 am and one of the days the noise went until 9:30 pm.

Staff was great! Location is good, close but not right on the busy strip. Quiet and safe. Comfortable, simple.
4.3
The staff and manager were wonderful and we felt cared for. Loved the colorful cabanas and shared kitchen, especially for making friends. Location perfect for peace and quiet but access by bike to town. I think it's the only place that has Beach fires and those were magic.
4.3
The unit is in a quiet area of the island but a close walk into town.
The cabin was awfully small, no housekeeping for the 4 days we were there including emptying the garbage which held all toilet paper we used. Outside chairs didn't have cushions and plastic ones were broke.
4.3
GREAT location and they provide free bikes which is a nice touch. Staff were so lovely and and helpful. The dock with the hammocks is a great spot to chill in the afternoon.
Aircon don’t really work well at all, so the room was quite hot.
4.3
The Cabana was spacious and had its own bathroom and shower. Everything was clean. The complementary bikes are great and with them you can reach everything on the island within 10 minutes. The location is a bit out of the busiest areas but it is nice - it also has a cozy seating area at the ocean. There is a shared kitchen with fridge and a water dispenser.
The Cabana did not have a view, only to the kitchen. Additionally, there was a lot of construction noise during weekdays. The room was not cleaned during our stay.

Everything about my stay was awesome. Friendly staff, unbelievable value, clean room and hotel grounds.

Loved the view, the dock, the pool, the complimentary bikes, and the location. We were looking for peace and quiet and found it there. But the bikes came in handy when we wanted to shop or dine. The a/c worked fabulous also.
Having to leave it?

The hotel is right on the water front with its own platform and chairs. They give you complimentary bikes to get around the island which was such a novelty, I don't think I've ridden a bike in 5 years. They have two very sweet resident cats. There are plenty of shops nearby. If you stay make sure to go to HIBISCA and get the Coco Amora and the key lime pie, it's a coconut seafood soup and I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life.
The pool is tucked around the corner and I didn't see it till the last day. That's my bad though not theirs.

Barefoot beach is a lovely place with so much charm and character. It has a homley feel, added to by the staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The owners (Jett and partners) work hard, and it's evident in everything at Barefoot Beach. We didn't see Jett stop working! Despite that, nothing is too much trouble. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. I highly recommend Barefoot Beach. It was a highlight in our stay in Belize.

New owners Bugs, Ricky and Jett are so friendly and accommodating. They went so far out of their way to make sure I was happy. The free bikes came in very handy. I also loved the pool and swimming off the dock. I will absolutely come back!
No suggestions for improvement- it was lovely. Maybe some communal coffee would be nice or cushions for the white lounge chairs but this place is honestly lovely as is.

We loved staying here. Such wonderful staff. A great location with a private dock. They had free bikes to roam around the island. The cabana was cosy, good A/C and hot water shower.
There is a communal outdoor kitchen with a fridge and drinking water which is free to use.

All of the staff was super friendly and we could see they were enjoying their job. The owners are new, and just got the place last April and did quite some renovations. There was a little bonfire at the place, very good atmosphere and stunning views over the ocean. Very colorful, comfortable and happy place, would definitely recommend staying here!
Cannot think of anything!

We were booked to stay in one of the small cabanas but unfortunately I couldn’t travel on the day due to sickness so we checked in a day late after informing the hotel. When we arrived one of the owners Ritchie upgraded us to one of the bungalows free of charge. He said they’d had more bookings and needed to upgrade us but honestly I think he was just being exceptionally generous. The review for the room therefore is for the bungalow. It’s lovely, spacious and has a very comfortable double bed. It has a kitchen (fully equipped) with fridge and free drinking water which you can refill your jug with on site. Bathroom is great, good shower, reasonable water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Site facilities- pool is gorgeous. We’ve been travelling 6 months now and it’s the cleanest pool of all the places we’ve stayed. It’s beach front and only a short walk from the town with local bars and restaurants close by.
Staff are amazing here. The owners have only been here since April so you can probably discount any reviews before then because its different management. Jett (one of the owners) just can’t do enough for you. He offered to put up a washing line for us or take our laundry. He also brought us a new kettle 😀 Omar is a legend giving us a free ride round town to a local restaurant. We also met Bugs (the manager) the day we were leaving and she gave us some great recommendations for our next stops in Belize. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff makes Barefoot Beach really special. I’d highly recommend staying here, it’s a beautiful place with lovely people.
Nothing.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was great.
4.3
The entire experience was awesome
The tv remote was not working well and the fire stick
4.3
Our room was very small but it had all that we needed. The bed and pillows weren’t that great. The cleanliness of the sheets, room, bathroom was great. The hotel provided good drinking water. The stove was hard to use in the wind. The pool was clean and refreshing. It was very quiet at night. The room came with two complimentary bikes which was great.
The bed and pillows were pretty thin but some other travellers said their bed and pillows were great. I’m sure if we had asked for more or better pillows they would have accommodated us.
4.3
The location was great.
Didn't like the too many Americans. It almost felt like being in the US.
I didn't actually imagine that the cabins were so close to each others
4.3
The property is recently under new management and the owners seem to have really improved everything already. Very clean, perfect location right on the sea (with a pier), they provide bikes and water, and town is a fast ride. The staff is awesome and is always willing to help you out. I could go on and on!
literally nothing
4.3
The property had bikes for each guest to use which was awesome for getting around the island during our stay. It was a bit off the main strip, but that kept the area quiet.
The room could have been a bit bigger, having a kitchen area would have been nice as well. They only had a fridge.
4.3
Great idea to have water coolers for the guests. Saves buying plastic bottles.
4.3
Nice little bungalow. Bikes available. Just got new owners who are upgrading the place.
Could feel the springs in the mattress.
Showerhead not functioning well.
4.3
The little cabine you get is really big enough and really cosy. The location is quiet but still easy to reach all restaurants.
We loved our stay here
4.3
The new owners are amazing, such nice and sociable people. The hotel isn’t in the main street where most restaurants are, but that’s fine too because the private beach in front of the hotel gets a different vibe from the others, and they provide bikes to the guests.
