Had friendly pets

One of the quirkiest places I've stayed at in a while but it had cats which improved everything. Also a great place to view the nothern lights because there is very little light pollution.

There was a sauna listed in the room details but there wasn't any

Desconnexió a 10 min d'Egilsstaðir.

Allotjament rural amb tres habitacions, cuina perfectament equipada i dos banys compartits. Els propietaris eren amables i ens van ajudar en tot el necessari per fer-nos sentir com a casa. Vam estar-hi molt s gust.

Gezellige kleine hut

Nice comfortable bungalow, verry clean. Mogelijkheid om gemeenschappelijke keuken te gebruiken. Eenvoudig ontbijt werd voorzien. Fijn om een aparte toilet te hebben. mogelijkheid tot gebruik van wasmachine, hot tub.

Très bon séjour

Accueil adorable de notre hôte. Le cottage était vraiment charmant et bien équipé (avec des toilettes) et une petite terrasse. tout était très propre et bien chauffé. Les 2 cottages ont accès à une pièce dans un autre bâtiment, avec un coin salon, tables et chaises, une cuisine vraiment bien équipée pour se préparer des repas. Seul petit bémol, les douches qui sont en fait les douches communes du camping d'à côté.

It was very cozy and comfortable and we loved the design of the house as if we were at home. ☺️ Elsa was very kind and her home made bread is delicious! if you are looking for accommodation in the area, definitely choose this one!

A lovely guesthouse with a great host

Lovely, clean rooms. Elsa is a great host, and her baked bread for breakfast was a lovely surprise. The kitchen was fantastic and had everything needed .

The WiFi kept dropping out, but otherwise perfect.

Nice view at the lake. Fully equipped kitchen. Friendly host.

We stayed in the guesthouse. The host lives on the frist floor. We could hear them walking through the ceiling, also after 10 pm... didn't sleep very well

Elsa is a wonderful host, she makes you feel at home and even bakes bread for breakfast every night! She showed my daughters two sweet lambs she’s taking care of and her dogs. The common area is very nice! It was our favorite place so far in Iceland

Quiet, colorful ...

The lady who handed over the keys gave us a nice presentation. We were happy to use the sauna, and we were also happy to have breakfast (bread baked by the lady herself and some spreads and coffee) prepared by the lady. Interesting location, beautiful surroundings, in short, we would be happy to return. Thank you, we were very satisfied.

It was all good. So there is nothing to complain about.

Homey place

You are welcomed into a private home, with a distinctly “homey” feel. The room and bathroom facilities are comfortable. You can use the kitchen to prepare your breakfast, with homemade bread. (I would have liked some fruit juice, though). The accommodation is easy to reach and reasonably priced.

We were welcomed by Elsa who immediately made us feel at home. She showed us round this beautiful home which had 2 toilets and kitchen complete with milk and items for breakfast. The bread was absolutely delicious and the whole place made us feel really relaxed. We even got to meet some of her animals who were wandering around who were lovely. Elsa also gave us advice on the route to take based on the weather conditions which was really appreciated. The room itself was large and the bed comfortable. If we're ever in Iceland again I would definitely stay here again.

Elsa is a very nice host, she welcomes you and shows you around. The cottages are cozy and clean, you have your personal toilet inside. In the old cowshed is a shared kitchen, where you can cook. There is plenty cooking equipment. Also there is a community room with a dart board and a pool table. Every morning Elsa brings a selfbaked loaf of bread. But the best of this place are the cat and the two dogs which are welcoming and friendly 😍

The warmest welcome we received here from Elsa! The common space was great with all facilities. We enjoyed the darts, pool table and instruments.

Nice quiet place.

I knew that the bathroom will be shared ( even shower could be easily fitted in cottages) but it's quite unpleasant to have a shower far and running across in cold weather.

Cozy place. Elsa was very kind and i felt like home. Definitely stay here again next time. Breakfast was good, all house was clean. About 15mins from Egilsstardir(which makes it a quiet place), so you'd be better to buy stuff before checking in if there's any. Already miss this house.

Comfortable, convenient and clean

We were welcomed by Elsa upon arrival and given a tour of the facilities. We had booked the "cubic" cottage, so this review will apply to it. The room was modern and comfy. We slept really well at night despite the windy weather outside. Kitchen and bathrooms are in a separate building 50m away, also very modern and clean. There's a large living room with books, stereo and pool table if you want to chill. We stayed here in October so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Excellent coffee in the morning from a true coffee machine. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property with incredibly friendly host!

We only stayed for one night here, and would have absolutely loved to stay for two if our plans had allowed it. Elsa was incredibly friendly, and made check-in easy. She provided coffee and freshly baked bread for us in the morning. The property was large with great amenities, including a hot tub, sauna, and game room. One of our favorite places we stayed and absolutely amazing value.
