Central in Cairo with amazing service-minded reception. Great people working at the place, either taking care of the space, cleaning the elevator or having a nice chat with guests. Cleanliness of the hotel is top-pop. Rooms are large enough - big plus for all the rooms with a balcony. Great bathrooms. Access to tea and coffee 24/h. Spacious rooftop. One of the best choices in the area - great value for money.
Breakfast is very basic - two breads, cheese, hardboiled egg and banana. Definitely there is a space for improvement here.

The hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment in a modern style. Check-in/reception staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. It had adequate power outlets for battery/phone charging and tea/coffee making facilities as well as a private balcony. We were unable to avail of the complimentary breakfast (available on the 7th floor roof terrace) but the facility looked somewhat spartan. We arrived by train and discovered the hotel could be reached within a 20-minute walk but crossing roads was a challenge.
The hotel is located close to a number of restaurants and bars as well as several shops.
Access to the hotel was a little difficult as its entrance is off Emad El-Deen (rather than the 9 Adly address provided by the owner) and then up several steps before reaching a lift for the 6th floor when the hotel is located.
The wooden storage unit beneath the sink in the bathroom had clearly suffered from water penetration and the shower floor was slippery.
Furniture provided on our private balcony looked somewhat faded.

Location, quiet (compare to other hotels in downtown Cairo)
No kettle in the room, TV can't switch on, space small

Located 6 and 7 floors up, it’s very peaceful at night, during the day, the streets are absolutely mobbed and chaotic. Bed was comfortable, shower was good, can’t ask for anything more really.
Rooms are as the photos, but are dated, not new as they look. Still perfectly acceptable though.

Nothing. It was a bad experience for a European citizen. Nothing compare with photos. It was dirty, we left the next day.

room very small , no hot water , i will never stay in a place again that does not provide hot water , when sleeping the tap on the bidet fall off which i never even used and it could have flooded the room and ruined my passport , money etc, if i didn't wake up and know that full pressure water was flowing in the bathroom on to the floor and bedroom floor, my passport, money , clothes etc could have been ruined , i booked a taxi for the airport the night before but they said in the morning that the booking was never made , they said that they would provide a better safe taxi to the airport but the prices would be higher , i paid a higher price to the hotel for a better taxi instead an assistant from the hotel took money off me and instead of providing their taxi , they took me down to the road and he hailed a very old car which never had a taxi sign on it and only gave the driver part of the money which i gave them and when i got to the airport the driver expected more money from me because they only paid the driver very little of the money which i paid the hotel , i felt I and the driver were taken advantage off by the hotel keeping a proportion of the money for themselves instead of giving it to the driver , hotel was hard to find without proper signage

I liked the location only. Yet so hard to leave the area while driving because it is super crowded!
They accepted payment with Visa at booking but when I arrived, they told me we don't accept cards but only Cash and you must pay only in Egyptian money! While by Egyptian law, we as treavellers are required to pay in Dollars not in Egyptians currency (you can see a notice in booking.com while booking your room).
It's a hustle no matter how they are justifying it.
Also, the guy at the reception was so rude to me when I delayed paying in Cash, I insisted to pay in card and yet at the end I was forced to pay in Egyptian currency from my non Egyptian currency card and that cost me the difference of currency exchange with my bank.
I dont advise it if you're looking for a peace of mind!

Very central, close to everything. Great helpful staff. My go-to place to crash every time I pass through Cairo. Also, the complimentary breakfast is satisfying.
