Schön aber zu hoher Preisleistung.

Das gesamt Bild, große Zimmer, gute Lage.

Die Einfahrt zum Hotel ist nicht gut zu finden, wir waren nicht die einzigen die es nicht sofort gefunden haben. Dann der Wasserfleck in unserem Zimmern, das erste was man gesehen hat. Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer, keine Ablage Möglichkeit unter der Dusche, alles musste man auf den Boden stellen, im Badezimmer das gleiche. Rutschige Fliesen unter der Dusche. Und nicht vergessen der Schimmel in der Ecke in der Dusche.

A beautiful historical villa and the people that work there make it even more spectacular

I cannot say enough good things about Villa Platamone. It is truly a beautiful property and Silvano, Therese and Nic were such great hosts. They helped with everything you need, Silvano even managed to get us a private boat tour last minute and it was fantastic and Therese is a sommelier! She took us to a local winery where we did a tasting. The property is a short walk into Como but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to really allow you to relax. Finally the Breakfast!! Honestly the best breakfast we have ever had. A great start to our honeymoon and if you are thinking about it, just book it!

Everything- great location, very attentive staff, hotel is stunning.

If I was not-picking there’s no fridge in the room but then again a fridge would take away some of the historic feel in the room. So, I’d say it wasn’t really an issue

Absolutely Fabulous!

I cannot rave enough about how fabulous our stay was. The house, room and facilities are beautiful, perfectly maintained and just like the photos. The team that work at the villa cannot do enough to make your stay relaxing and comfortable - they are so friendly and helpful. The breakfast each day was fresh, and bountiful and with the perfect place to sit looking over the pool. And a short walk into Como - about 10 mins to town and 15 mins back (as it is uphill) - you do need to have moderate fitness to do the walk and there is not many cabs available. We have been travelling for some time and this was by far the best stay so far.

One of a kind experience, magical and perfect! This is not exaggeration, at all!

If we could stay in Villa Platamone everywhere we go, we definitely would! From the hosts, to the house, the location, the fact that you can park your car there without any worries, the breakfast, it's simply perfect in every way. Any aspect you could possibly think of has been already well handled for sure. The attention to the details, the reception, the ammount of smiling and care is out of this world. We mostly spoke with Silvano who gave us a lot of great advices, from restaurants to places to visit, anything you need he can provide! He is a highly interesting person to speak with. Also, the Swedish lady (I don't think we got to know her name, we are sorry) with whom we spoke during breakfasts is a lovely and helpful person. She has plently of great insights as she has been in many different places (countries as well) and she is also a sommelier! We also met Lucia (Silvano's wife) but we only got to speak a little bit with her unfortunately, as she has written some books and seemed like a truly awesome person. This place makes you feel like royalty, it's like being in a fairy tale, absolutely incredible! You have the historical building and decoration with all the modern comfort. Overall perfect! Thank you so much and I hope I can see you all again soon!

Beautiful building with spacious and tastefully decorated rooms with a peaceful garden setting. Alex, Katy and Eleonora provide a personal service that made our stay truly memorable - and the breakfast is incredible. Would highly recommend!

Perfect stay in Como!

Perfect and quiet location but very close to the old town of Como. The villa is beautiful and the service is perfect! They will help you with everything and find you the best places to have lunch or dinner. We loved everything!

Absolutely Glorious - a slice of luxury heaven!

After a busy week of travelling around Italy, it was lovely to relax and end our trip at Villa Platamone in Como. Alex, Katy and Eleanora went out of their way to look after for us from even before we arrived - organising a transfer for us from the train station and pre-booking dinner for us ahead of our arrival in the evening. Their warmth and attention never strayed throughout the whole stay, booking great restaurants for us and even cooking a delicious fresh breakfast every morning, remembering our coffee order & ensuring we were always at ease. The Villa itself is stunning and makes you feel as though you are living as a king or queen. Even though it was fully booked, it felt very tranquil and we often were lucky enough to enjoy the beautiful pool to ourselves when we wanted a retreat from the heat and crowds. Highly recommend a stay here, either as a base for travelling around the lakes (it's an easy 15 min walk into the town) or for enjoying some downtime or both. Perfect place to experience Lake Como in a historic Italian villa.

The property is a beautiful Italian villa set in a quiet residential neighbourhood, but only a 5-10min pleasant walk from the centre of Como. The owners and staff were very friendly and accommodating, helping to organise dinner reservations and transport. The breakfast was a delicious local home-style affair, and the room was very spacious and comfortable. As it is a small property with only a few rooms, it felt as if we had the pool and other facilities for private use. With dedicated off road parking and easy access to the roads around the lake (avoiding having to drive in and out of the old town), I would highly recommend it as a base to explore both the city of Como and the rest of the lake.

Villa Buonissimo!

Gorgeous property with massive rooms, manicured grounds, beautiful period decor. True Villa service and style.

Location was at least a 20-25 min walk into old town, with very limited taxi service. Luckily, Alex was able to deliver us to our dining destinations at night - for a charge.

Old world charm and hospitality with modern luxury.

It felt like we stayed in a very beautiful home with all the amenities , fab breakfasts and very hospitable hosts. A short walk into Como old town and great restaurant recommendations . we had a fabulous weekend.

Beautiful experience! we will be back!

In the town centre of Como, there is this charming 19th-century villa offering an exceptional experience. A recently renovated by keeping intact all its charm, this property houses a charming relais that was able to satisfy our demanding taste. The lush garden that surrounds it, arranged in flounces and full of essences, measures many square meters. A magnificent 300 years old magnolia with its beauty is overlooking the entrance of the Villa. Spectacular! Villa offered us an elegant and cozy room with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, equipped with the greatest comforts and featuring their own en-suite bathroom covered in marble. Sensational. We had an exceptional and comfortable bed; the nights were lovely and very quite. The hosts: Alex and Katie were great and very helpful!

An amazing experience!

Truly one of the best places we had ever stayed. Gracious hosts, staff, the best breakfast, facilities, very convenient location coupled with the enchanting setting. Cannot recommend it high enough! Worth visit to Como for this stay alone. Will definitely return 😊

Fairytale

Beautiful place, full of history, each piece of furniture or any object were placed with love and with a great attention to villa’s guests. Spacious rooms, clean and comfortable. Fantastic palatial villa in Como

The property is fantastic - romantic, intimate and full of subtle stylish touches, from the frescos to the newly refurbished bedrooms and luxury bathrooms. The owners are lovely and went out of their way to ensure that we had a lovely stay.
