Just very hot too much heating on for us
Too hot for us heating on in breakfast dinning

Food was first class, staff were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so relaxing in a simply beautiful location
A lift would have helped if you have bad knees and have to go up 2 floors but that seems petty set against everything else which was so good.

It’s was relaxing and quite
When I paid for the property I thought I was paying for half board which means evening meal and breakfast , But when I received my check out bill turns out you only get £30 each for evening meal which this doesn’t cover much at all as the meals and side orders are very expensive very mid leading to customers coming thinking they haven’t much to pay

Hotel is beautiful. The position is stunning. The staff were great. The cleanliness is good.
We booked a 'Classic Double Room' but found it to be on the small size, and the furniture a bit scruffy. The room was at the top of 2 flights of stairs, and due to my health I found carrying luggage to the top quite challenging. No Lift. No offer to carry my case from staff.

The customer service was outstanding. Friendly and courteous without being intrusive.
The receptionist (Scottish Lady) was extremely good at hera job. Always helpful and proactive with suggestions about where to go etc
Many thanks
The vegan/vegetarian food was not great.

The breakfast was exceptional.
Due to the chef not being available for the evening dinner we were transported down the road care of the hotel to the Devonshire brasserie and bar, which was very nice as well.
A beautiful part of the world and well worth a night or more to experience.
No one to assist us with our baggage, leaving us the option to either climb the stairs or pull them up the steep car park. (Suggest you park at the top)

The scenery and view from the hotel is stunning. The rooms and the facilities were lovely and high standards. The food and service couldn't be faulted

Lovely hotel. Staff were great, food was delicious and they were very dog friendly!
There was only a formal al a crate menu - no bar menu/cheap eats, so turned out a bit pricey to eat there for two nights. But the food was excellent!

The location and the food were exceptional
We visited the Devonshire fell for our honeymoon and it was as lovely as expected

Very helpful Italian gentleman gave me taxi details and was generally very helpful , making sure we could have an early check in for the wedding we were attending at Tighe Barn on Friday 2nd July 2021. He was very welcoming and a lovely first impression when I called the hotel.
4.4
A comfortable room with table and two easy chairs. Good tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk. A comprehensive breakfast menu and wonderful views from the dining areas.
Meal times were set in advance due to Covid and earlier than we would have liked.

Great staff, lovely room, great food.
The decor is pretty weird.

Food brilliant and lovely staff.
We stayed in room number 8.
This is above the kitchen, to which a very loud fan which even vibrates the floor comes on at 7.20am and finished around 11pm. We did complain but were told that it would finish at 9pm and they didnt advise of the start time!
This woke us up each morning which was very disappointing as we were looking for a peaceful setting in the Dale's.
The view outside was also the bin store and carpark which was also very disappointing
This room should be dealt with or at a discounted price. We were very disappointed.
