Good business and short stay hotel close to Oxford

The room was spotless and comfortable. The lady on reception that checked me in was professional and helpful. A really nice welcome. The bathroom was a decent size with integral shower and, thank goodness, a shower that can be moved about. A decent hairdryer was provided and robes and slippers. There was plenty of coffee, biscuits and crisps that were replenished every day. A good sized glass fronted fridge with some bottled water at head height kept proper milk cold for four days. There was a code safe that would fit a laptop. I only ate in the hotel for lunch provided as part of the training centre provision and this was a buffet. All food was well presented and plentiful. The training / conference facility is top notch. Everything in the room worked. When the bottled water machine ran out, it was replenished within minutes of requesting it. The communal area was well stocked with reasonable coffee machines with various non-dairy milk. It really was a superb venue for a training course and I would recommend it. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the frequent park and ride service into central Oxford and beyond (route 300). A great service in clean buses that only takes around 15 minutes (not sure about rush hour). The train station is 450m to pick up the 300 bus to Peartree Park and Ride. There aren't any other connections but you could take that bus for say 5-6 minutes towards Oxford and pick up a lot of other routes to the surrounding area. There is an outside seating area with tables but the weather wasn't great. It overlooks the car park. Ther is a smoking area right in front of the hotel which seemed a little odd. There is a reasonable Waitrose. KFC and Greggs in the adjacent service station for snacks. I would definitely stay here again at my own expense if visiting the area.

Moving six cushions at night is really annoying. I guess many people put them on the floor then they go back on the bed so that's a bit grotty. They really are not necessary and my heart always sinks when I see the stupid things. The overlarge TV was useless. Using it as a TV was impossible. There was no signal for normal TV. There were no other channels for use with the WiFi. I managed to cast sound to the TV from my iPhone but couldn't get the screen casting to work. Yes I guess I could have asked someone to come and sort it out but I shouldn't have to and couldn't be bothered so just watched the Olympics on my laptop. The fact that the TV was almost as large as the bed and only 3m from my face added insult to injury. Not sure why two serving staff stood and watched as you served yourself from the buffet. Perhaps to prevent people taking too much? It was quite off-putting.

La struttura è quella di una catena di hotel, impersonale ma affidabile. La colazione è internazionale, buona e ampia. Abbiamo anche cenato e la qualità del cibo è molto buona. La posizione è funzionale a chi viaggia, vicino a strade principali e poco fuori città. Ci siamo fermati una notte.

Il voto 7 dipende essenzialmente dal personale. La persona al check-in era quasi scontrosa. Poi si è indispettita che non avessimo già pagato il parcheggio prima di entrare, con l'app. A noi risultava di dover pagare in loco. Avevamo acquistato una mezza pensione, con cena compresa. Eppure al ristorante non lo sapevano e per 3 volte, 3 persone diverse, sono dovute andate in ufficio a verificare che la cena fosse pagata, prima di esserne sicuri.

a great place to stay!

the staff on arrival were lovely and really helpful, the hotel had a nice atmosphere and was comfortable and the facilities were great.

we really liked everything other than our breakfast table was cleared and new people sat at it while we were up getting our food, which I feel wasn’t great.

My wife and I were very glad that we chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Oxford and would recomend.

Staff very pleasant and helpfull Breakfast very good with adequate choice Parking reasonable Location ideal for park and ride to Oxford city centre Rooms comfortable and spacious Very little traffic noise due to secondary double glazing

Value for money, met expectations

Breakfast was good, just like all the other comments we read. The bed was also comfy, we slept well. Cleanliness, which is something important to us when we travel, also met our expectations.

Would've been a nice touch if parking was free for guests. You could add that into the price of the room, and most folks wouldn't bother with the 6 pound daily charge.

Very well positioned hotel for Oxford and Cotswolds. Will stay again.

The space in the hotel. Staff were great. Breakfast was excellent

Checking in was a bit negative, were told we only had 1 room booked and not 2. Then the girl started to book one of us in. I expected her to sort the no 2nd booking problem first. In case we had to go elsewhere for 2 rooms. But we were ok, maybe me just having a panic!

Schönes Hotel mit guten Busverbindungen.

Ruhiges, modernes Zimmer. Gute Sauberkeit. Gutes und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Grosser Partplatz vorhanden. Gute Busverbindung durch den P+R Parkplatz in der Nähe vorhanden.

コネクティング・ルームを用意してくれた、朝のうち（朝食に行っているうち）に清掃を済ませてくれた、多くの荷物を見て、スタッフが運搬を手伝ってくれた、朝食が良かった、夕食も取ったが、量も質も満足のいくものだった。

ホテルの近く、周辺道路が工事中で、敷地内へのアプローチがわかりにくかった。実際には関係なかったが、何か矢印等の道標があれば、ストレスなく到着できたように思う。

Just what we needed for our purposes

Convenient for leaving car at park and ride and taking bus into city to get city time extending from before "earliest check-in" to well after "checkout time,"

Had hoped for an easier pedestrian route between peartree park and ride (bus stop) and hotel complex. Ended up having to walk the road route (in the dark, without pavement,)

an excellent stay overall

an excellent property overall from the beautiful room (extra large TV) to the lobby and convenience of a very nice bar / restaurant.

free parking (cost was 6 pounds) would have been the only thing I would recommend for any improvement...its not like the property is in the middle of the city where charged parking mostly occurs
