The view is spectacular! The house is beautiful. Beds are just ok. My main complaint is that I was specifically renting a house on the lake for a retreat with a large group of women and based on the listing pictures there would be plenty of seating for us all in the main living room for our time of teaching. When we got there only half of the furniture was in that room and the rest was downstairs with a pool table in the middle of the room. That was extremely disappointing and made it difficult for our intentions with renting the house. I had also sent a email with questions beforehand and did not get a response. I did end up calling a week later to ask my questions. .

The home was well supplied. The view was amazing. We really enjoyed having a black stone available. We loved having breakfast on the second story deck. The big table was excellent for our family to eat together. It also made a great place for playing dominoes.
We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

My large family enjoyed the stay at the “Cliffhanger” house. Beautiful view and had everything we needed.

The cabin had everything we needed for our family gathering. Plenty of comfortable sleeping places, fully stocked kitchens with lots of refrigerator space, plenty of space to gather and play games, etc. Cabin was clean and well attended to. The Christmas decor was a nice touch. One complaint: the owners do not want their guests to flush any toilet paper. That’s kind of awkward for a large group of people staying in one house. A heads up would be nice.

It was our second stay there. We had a great time. It was clean. It’s a quiet location. There are plenty of indoor games for the kids, outside space to play or take a walk. The kitchens are well supplied. Everything was in working order. Host is very easy to contact.

The house was fantastic. It was well equipped, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We had 4 couples and it was plenty spacious. It was a great location up the hill from Wolf Marina. We had one slight issue with the propane tanks for the grills, but the hosts brought 2 new tanks the next morning. I would highly recommend this house!

This house was amazing! The pictures do not describe how massive it really is! The view on all three floors is outstanding. Having two kitchens was a huge plus as well! The hot tub and main deck was perfect for the evenings and having a drink with your friends! Overall, highly suggest the cabain and will 100% return in the future!

Very happy with our choice!
My siblings and their spouses, all over 60, really enjoyed our family get together. The cabin had lots of comfortable places to sit and chat, both indoors and on the covered decks. The view of the lake and treed hills was gorgeous and we all got up each morning and so enjoyed our coffee on the deck looking over the lake. The cabin furniture and beds were comfortable. The cabin was very clean. It had all the things you could need for cooking and eating, except the food. There is also a nice selection of spices. The two refrigerators and microwaves on the main level were greatly appreciated. We used both the gas grill for steaks and burgers, and the gas griddle outside for making bacon and eggs. We did not really use the second kitchen on the lower level, but for a larger family it would be very useful.
We did have trouble with getting to the place using our phones for navigation, but we called Cynthia, the Evolve guest host, and she was very nice and helpful. TIP: If you can get to the road where the Wolf River Resort and Marina is located, very close to the marina is a large sign on the right pointing to that road as the location of the Cliffhanger lodge and after turning right at the sign it is just a little way up the road. The shower water pressure is very good and my sister enjoyed the nice tub with jets. My husband and I relaxed in the large hot tub on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view. A little squirrel entertained us running back and forth on the deck in front of the sliding doors. We were pleasantly surprised that we saw not one mosquito and almost no flies considering it was early June and pretty warm. The best thing for this group of seniors was we could unload and bring in all the food, coolers etc. directly on the main floor which had an easy ramp to the door and no steps. Of course, the people staying on the upper level did have to take their suitcases up the steps. There is also an entrance to the lower level where you can park and take stuff directly in. We had a great time of fun, food, and fellowship with our family and would highly recommend this cabin! We would definitely go there again. It is clear the owners care for this cabin and want guests to be comfortable!!

Family Christmas
This home was a good mid point for our four families meeting to celebrate Christmas and visit for a day or two. We need a place big enough for the 20 of us. There was plenty of room to spread out and do different things. We cooked all our meals and had all the dishes we needed. The table was perfect for all to sit together.

Had trouble getting in touch with owner. Didn't know how to check in. Finally drove to property and got number off property. He said he had e-mailed me the code but I had not received it. After getting in everything went well.

Family Thanksgiving holiday
The property is easy to get to, in a beautiful location, a quiet area with outdoor space for the kids to play, plenty to do inside on a rainy day. 2 kitchens made it much easier to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. There was adequate seating at the table for all 17 of us. The beds were comfortable. Everything was in good working order. The owner was easy to contact. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Everything was excellent better in person than pictures could portray. The view was picturesque.
We had a girls trip for a special coworker recently diagnosed with breast cancer and we wanted a weekend all about her. This was the place. Down to the coffee on the deck with that gorgeous view to the firepit roasting hotdogs and s’mores. We bonded , laughed and loved every second of our visit !

Perfect Home Away From Home
The Cliffhanger Lodge is a perfect spot for a large family or group to call home while visiting and vacationing at the beautiful Dale Hollow Lake. The description and pictures online do not tell the whole story of what this place offers its guests. The view from the tri-level balconies is fabulous at all times of the day, especially after dark when the skies are not masked by unnatural light; the stars shine just like they did when I was a kid growing up in a small town. The porch swings, hot tub, and numerous comfortable chairs allow for relaxing moments, and the pool table and game room provide lots of fun and entertainment for the kids...and adults. This is a convenient spot if you want to be close to the water without actually being on the water, as it's only a three minute drive down to Wolf River Marina. There are plenty of bedrooms and beds that offer privacy for all or most, the bathrooms are clean and spacious, the dining room table is large enough to seat everyone and even a friend or two who stops by to say hello. And if someone in your party's love language is cooking for others, two fully functional kitchens should be enough to handle all that love. Should you want some private or quiet time, you can escape to the fire pit where your body and heart will be warmed, especially if you bring ingredients for s'mores. The best part is the ample great room in the main gathering area, where everyone can find a comfortable spot to chat, reminisce, share stories, play cards or games, or take a nap. This place has it all and it makes it easy to decide where to stay each and every year.

A week at Dale Hollow Lake
Beautiful cabin with enough room for everyone. there are 3 floors with multiple bedrooms, multiple bathrooms and 2 full kitchens. The team was very responsive as we had one of the AC units go out while we were there and they had it up and going the next morning. We even received a call from the owner to see that it had been taken care of. Great follow up from an owner that cares about his tenants. Thanks for the great memories !!

Amazing views, lots of space, loved it!
The VIEWS were remarkable, the indoor and outdoor space options were so great for a group of friends looking to relax, play games, eat, and hang out. The house allows for the night owls to stay awake in the hot tub while the early risers wanted to get their beauty sleep. We went hiking at Pogue Creek Canyon and it was BEAUTIFUL - highly recommend. We were traveling from the Eastern time zone and we were surprised to learn we were an hour EARLIER than we realized and the property managers were SO helpful in allowing us to check-in early. We would easily stay here again.

The bathrooms and beds were clean, but that is it. Not sure the floors have been vacuumed or mopped in a long time. The pool table has one cue with a partial tip and the balls are chipped, bring your own cue. Check the railing on the top deck for stability and a small dog can fit through the fencing on the first deck, so figure out a barricade once you arrive. The view is amazing and family even better.

Location made up for irritations
The breathtaking view made the weekend work. The property was not very clean, and the photos don’t make clear how cramped and cluttered it is. It’s like they piled beds everywhere to advertise sleeping 20 people. If it rains and all of you are stuck inside, it would not be good. Also, if you’re going to have a property with so much wood, you should dust it before guests come. The site manager was very, very nice and helpful, though. Once I got past the clutter and dirt (dishwasher full of dirty dishes), I settled down and enjoyed the views and my family.

Party house house with a view!!!
We had 16 of us made up of 12 years old and up. The games in the loft were a hit with all of the kids and young adults. I will say that the pics show a hot tub that is small and was almost a deal breaker for us booking the property. We were very surprised to see a new 6 person hot tub on the deck that was not in the pics we reviewed. The house has so much included that most places do not spend the money to provide. Such as, so much deck seating, cooking utensils, pots and pans. They have 2 gas grills and a large gas griddle/ hot plate. We cooked a lot on the griddle. One of the coolest things about the cabin is that all 16 of us could sit at the table together for meals.
A couple of negatives are that the internet is not great and cell service can come and go as well. One of the bedrooms is right off the kitchen and does not have a door to close off. We all sleep with fans and did not know they already have a lot of large floor fans. We could have used instructions on how to use the gas fireplace, but we figured it out.
We all felt like we made a good decision by selecting this property and will do it again.

Better than expected!
I needed this getaway in my life! I have read all the good and not so good comments, and let me say, I have nothing bad to say. The place was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of linens, but considered the amazon hot tub and the need for a lot of extra (we brought some of our own that we used after the hot tub. The kids knew they had to throw them in the dryer after each use). There were plenty of dishes to cook and serve food. One of my favorites was the table to fit all of us. There was plenty to do and plenty not to do. It was nice just to sit by the fire and rest. The kids were never bored. The view was indescribable. The cameras previous posters mentioned did not at all make me feel like like my privacy was threatened. We had an amazing Christmas with the family and it snowed in Christmas Day! We will definitely be back. The list that is asked to be done when you leave is not so much that it can’t be done. I felt it was things we should do. I wish I could give it 10 stars!

A Fantiastic Weekend with our Big Family
The log house sits up high overlooking Dale Hollow Lake. It has 3 stories and easily accomodated our family of 18. It is super well equipped and has lots of amenities for everyone to have fun with. The Evolve guest contact Cynthia was very helpful. If you have a big family and are looking for a neat place to hang out together, this is a good one.

Great stay!
Beautiful views and spacious cabin for our family of 14. Lots of extras there like pool table, foosball table, older video games etc. easily prepared all our meals there and all fit around the table. Owners answered our questions quickly. Short drive to wolf marina (closed when we were there) but only 25 min to sunset where we rented a boat for the day to explore the lake. Would go back for sure!

Wonderful stay during pandemic
11 friends wanted a cabin on water that five couples and one single traveling on motorcycles and a couple trucks could get to easily within a 5 hour drive from central Indiana. Dale Hollow was the answer. Our cabin was certainly amenable to answer that wish. The view was outstanding...we spent most of our time on the decks that looked down upon a section of the lake that gave us incredible sunsets. Cooking and dining was easy. Unfortunately one of the five couples drew the short straw for the bedroom that only had curtains and no door right next to the main kitchen. We wish we had remembered to bring more bath towels, but our owner provided a few more so that we each had at least one towel each. That was truly appreciated! The marina’s were great for renting pontoons daily and we had a wonderful visit in Kentucky and Tennessee with our big group.

Fantastic views and a beautiful home
This stay surpassed our expectations. After reading a previous concerning review we were hoping it was not accurate, and it was not!
The home has 3 floors, each with great views but they do get better as you go higher. There is a steep hillside and dense trees between the home and the lake so no lake access but the marina is directly in front of the house and easy access.
3 grills including a flat top, which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. The 2 kitchens are well stocked with most supplies you would need.
The security cameras seemed well placed overall and while the hot tub is in view, we did not feel like it was a malicious placement or intent (and the check in info does inform you of one being directed that way).
5 full bedrooms, 1 queen bed that has curtains vs doors, loft/game room with 3 bunk beds.
The pros - beautiful home, beautiful views. Well stocked and plenty of furniture. We had all ages and there are games (pool table, foosball, pacman, and lots of board games), little chairs for toddlers, a rocking horse, toddler beds, bunk beds, etc. Plenty of parking! Kitchen has plenty of serving utensils, pots, pans, plates, cups etc. All we needed were the disposable items!
The cons - pillows were thin and beds were a bit uncomfortable and squeaky. Home is all wood so it is a bit loud as well. Wifi is available but not very strong (due to location, not homeowners fault)
Other info: 1 washer/dryer on top floor. 1 bathroom per floor. No TVs in bedrooms (could be pro or con so didn't list there).
What to bring: bath linens (some provided but not a lot), pillows if desired, toiletries, trash bags, paper towels, extra TP, ziplock baggies, etc
