The ambient of the hostel was fantastic, and the main reason would be the staff. They make sure everyone feels included and even have some in house musicians. This hostel is very well suited for people travelling or working because they manage the sound levels very well. At 23.00 everyone is expected to go to sleep or hang out somewhere else.

Stay away
We paid to stay for the night but our passports where taken from us locked in a safety box and when my girlfriend asked for them she was told ten euros.
1 passport should never be taken from you.
2 the aggressive manager made her cry.
3 all deals because we wouldn't pay cash he became nasty.
4 why is the manager doing cheaper deals in cash in person.
Drug use is endorsed there

It was far more social than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We got to meet loads of lively people from all over the world and it was a really lovely experience.
It’s a little bit a walk into town so shopping is difficult but there is a small shop ten minutes as well as well as a bus stop right outside.

I liked the private room and strong Wi-Fi. I also liked there was the option to stay in the main area and even come back for a shower. Staff was available when needed.
The location is ok. Really windy area. Laundry kind of poor, didn’t really clean my clothes. Dorm rooms are tiny (my original booking and I changed it to private) my room had a cockroach in it. Sort of gross. Also the window of my room was in direct sight of smoking area. So if opened window smoke would go inside. It was decent.

I stayed previously at Aloe Vera for 11 days from mid December.
Proximity to the beach and surrounded by natural breath taking beauty.
The best hostel location I have ever been to.
The other guests were great! Met some amazing people during my stay, made new friends.
The staff were also friendly and brilliant.
The shared house was kept impeccably clean.
The kitchen was useful, balcony over looking the beach and sea was impressive.
Due to the location on the South of the island, you never ever get cold. You didn't even need a cover, which is very different from North Tenerife.
Good Wifi.

It was so hard to leave from Aloe Vera. A house that welcomes you and helps you to really slow down just enjoying the beautiful vibe of the place, the amazing beach nearby, the terrace and the people. Kitchen is well equipped and generally the house il clean and has plenty common areas. A special mention goes to the staff, friendly, welcoming and very helpful! It was absolutely a special stay!

I spent 6 days at the Aloe Vera Hostel. I had originally planned to stay only 5 days, but I liked the environment and lifestyle so much that I stayed 1 day longer. The hostel is suitable for short and long trips too. The other residents are nice, you can even organise activities together. The staff is helpful, they tried to help with any problem. The manager, Matias, is very supportive and makes sure that the atmosphere is relaxed. I recommend it to anyone regardless of gender and age.
There is no place for working in silent.

Nice people living there.
A bit far from the main beach.

The managers, Luca & Matias, as well as the volunteer staff were all really friendly and helpful. I felt like part of the family being there for 2 weeks. I loved the range of nationalities and ages of all my fellow travellers & really enjoyed the Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve meals we had together and went out to town together to celebrate the incoming new year.
The dormitory I was in is tiny.

The company was good. I liked that if I wanted to be alone, I could be. If I didn't want to be alone, I had always my company. I met friendly, direct people from all over the world. I wasn't bored. It's a bustling house. 😁
Luckily, there are more bathrooms too, there wasn't any problem.. 😊
And The Beach... It's beautiful and the waves 🏖️❤️ and it's quite near to the house and not crowded.
You can have a little bit sleepless nights..

The best staff ever, long beds
7.0 / 10.0
I liked the big terrace on the roof, the place and the kitchen are clean and it is nice to have two big fridges and a filter for drinking water. All the volunteers working there were very nice. There is a beautiful beach (Playa Montana Pelada) right across the hostel.
The kitchen is very small though for so many people and there could be more comfy couches to sit inside. Also the benches outside need cushions.
But most important, the eight bedroom is a disgrace. You can not cram eight people in a 12 sm room. There is a bed in front of the window. The person sleeping there gets cold at night and has to close the window. The air in there is unbearable. My suggestion is take out the fourth bed and have the window open at night. Six people is plenty for that tiny room.
An other suggestion would be to clean one of the two fridges regularly and have the people move their food to the other one, so food that has been left behind can be thrown out and there is more room in the fridge.

Staff at the property was so nice.
Wi-Fi at the hostel in not working well, I was not able to work remotely. I needed to move out after 3 days but I was suppose to stay 7 nights, and I was not able to get refund for the unused days. Rooms are so small and hot. I was not able to sleep at night. The pictures on the website are not showing the reality.

Poco o nulla, c'è molto di meglio in zona. Ci sono ostelli molto più funzionali. E anche più economici.
I arrived at Aloe Vera Hostel on 2/09/2022 before check in time and the staff was kind to let me in and assign me the bed.
At first glance it seemed to me that the hostel matched the photos uploaded.
When I entered the shared room, however, I immediately noticed that there was a lot of disorder. The room is located in a basement without external facing and with only one very small window. But that's a problem I can gloss over, I can adapt.
I took a tour of the hostel and what struck me is the poor cleanliness because I think the volunteers don't spend too much time on it. But even here no problem, I've seen some worse.
The problems arose soon after.
Given that I work online, the only thing that made me choose this hostel and not another one is the photo of the wifi connection, in which they say they can count on 146 Mb in download and 131 Mb in upload. Bullshit!
As soon as I connected to the wifi, I did a internet speed test and the results was just 4 Mb in download and 1 Mb in upload.
I asked for an explanation and they told me that they had had problems with the internet line but they were repairing it.
So I had to go looking for another place to work.
Back in the evening, I found that the problem had not been solved but had even gotten worse. There was really no internet line anymore and, in the hovel, there is not even telephone coverage.
The following day the problem continued to exist, so I was forced to leave the hostel due to disservice.
The manager, an Italian guy, told me that they would give me money back for the amount of two next days I would not have used it and that I would have to make a complaint to Booking.
When I notified Booking, the telephone operator asked the hostel for confirmation and thay shamelessly denied the disservice, saying that in the meantime they had solved it and that in any case it was not their fault but was dued of the rain that had fallen in the previous days.

Very nice welcoming and close to the airport.
Ventilation system close to the bedroom (noisy everytime someone uses the bathroom)
Bug seen in the shower tub..
