Great view from breakfast room and some of the rooms looking out to Mediterranean
Wifi not available or shaky. Could use some updating. Sewer smell through toilet pretty strong but might be due to bad sewer system in old city also.

Freundlicher Empfang an der Reze ! Einfach gestaltetes Hotel, Einfache und zweckmäßig eingerichtete, sehr saubere Zimmer! Mehr als reichliches Frühstück mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf den Bosporus

The staff was great, especially Ali (hopefully this is the right spelling) which gave us lot of tips and was more than willing to help us with any kind of request we had.
We paid a little extra to have a sea view room which was worth it in my opinion and the location was just a 10 mins walk from the Grand Bazar!
Definitely recommended
The only two small things I have to say are that the pillows felt a bit “cheap” and only one per person and that the bathtub pipe wasn’t draining properly.

Petit déjeuner copieux, emplacement idéal pour les visites et accès rapide aux moyens de transport.
Ascenseur pratique pour les personnes à mobilité réduite.
Chambres propres et lit confortable

The staff was very helpful, even after checkout they stood with us waiting for the taxi and helping with luggage.
Facilities were really bad. Bed was not comfortable, bathroom door didn't lock, taps were leaking and air conditioning was insufficient for the room we were staying in.
3.5
Good staff. Proximity to tourist attraction
The hotel get up is not as expected

The hotel was perfectly fine. The view of the beach from the dining room is beautiful. The staff were very kind, smiling and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and varied.
The hotel is located in a good area, close to everything.
We spent a fantastic week in Istanbul, this city is simply beautiful and magical. There are cheerful, friendly people everywhere, there is life on the street even at night, bars, restaurants, bazaars, whatever you want. The atmosphere of the city is captivating.
Thank you very much Sayeban Hotel Istanbul, this wonderful 1 week we spent there will remain in our hearts forever.
Best regards
David

Location is good, but you need to go uphill everytime that you want to go to explore the city
The uphills :/
Lift didn't work all the time
And the worse think was when I pay for the taxi to the airport($40); the driver try to charge me $30 more plus the bridge $50 (all this on dollar). So, I recommend to be careful with the Hotel taxi :/

It is a lovely hotel with pleasant staff. Especially Aydin on reception who was very helpful and friendly. also his colleagues Laziz and Rashad. They made us feel welcome and always in hand to help with enquiries. I would highly recommend this hotel. it was my second visit and I have rebooked for later this year. 5 ***** +

Aydin helped us to reach nearest parking, support to from packing to hotel, offered a good city tour with most important places and helped us with good places near hotel for eating, smoking sisha and so on

nice and clean rooms with the view of the sea. comfortably located, near the metro station and also it’s near to main historic places, stuff was very helpful and friendly, Lazil ( if I remember name correctly, my bad) was great host and pleasant person
mostly nothing in general, a bit slow Wi-Fi but it’s not a big deal at all

It was in a great location, the room was exactly what we needed and the breakfast was superb. The lads, Resad and Ayin on reception were most helpful, hospitable and accommodating. I would highly recommend!

very welcoming staff , clean room great location!
4.0
Pros:
+ the hotel has a good quality/price balance
+ Rooms are clean and the area is silent
+ Breakfast is generous, it’s on the rooftop of the building, with nice views
+ employees of the hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful, especially Aydin at the reception and the manager who serves breakfast every day
+ the hotel has open reception 24h a day and is a family business
Cons:
- the bathroom is limited in space and equipment.
- curtains will not cover morning light
- the neighborhood can be a bit dark at night, but we felt safe at all times: the hotel is surrounded by factories and the streets are not well illuminated. However, the hotel is very close to the main attractions in the city.

The location of Sayeban is fabulous with the view of the sea and city, and close to tourist sights, amenities and shopping. The hotel staff were also very helpful and friendly, and it was a great to meet the lady owner and her father who hosted us over breakfast.
Unfortunately the water heater had broken down over the weekend when I checked in on Sunday and it was not possible for repairs until the next day. However all was alright after the fix was done. Thanks!

Despite getting there in the evening and at a moment where all street lights had mysteriously gone out (which made it a bit sketchy at first), we actually really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location was perfect to visit all main landmarks of Istanbul nearby Sultanahmet. Going anywhere else (e.g. the Asian side) was pretty far, but then again it's a huge city, so just keep in mind where you want to go when booking your hotel! The staff was lovely and super helpful. The rooms were really spacious and with a great view. Also, the breakfast was really rich and the view from the terrace (which is more of an attic) was a beautiful sight first thing in the morning. All in all, a great stay - would definitely visit again! :)

In general I liked the accessibility of the place, it was close to the Sultan Ahmed. Breakfast was also nice.
I was really annoyed because of the disturbance of my sleep everyday by the cleaning lady she was so loud even while cleaning other rooms and since there was no "do not disturb sign" she knocked on our door every day and not a normal knocking a super loud one!! Shower was not working properly as well and toilet papers holder was broken so toilet paper was far away.
4.5
The personnel is very friendly and responsive! Breakfasts were tasty. On there departure day we were leaving early and they prepared good sandwiches for us!
The room was clean, towels were fresh, beds were comfortable. There was a small fridge in the room, a tea pot.
Location is great, pretty close to Sultanahmet and Grand Bazar (but keep in mind the roads nearby are going up and down, which is common for Istanbul).
The bathroom was clean, but a bit wet with a small amount of mold (not comfortable for my wife but fine for me).
2.5
Very basic hotel, poor sound insulation in a very busy area. Clean and passable but I got what I paid for. Not far from historical bazaar and tram route, local shop and places to eat.
Bed was super comfy
See above, hotel is in a very busy garment district which was chaotic and crowded. Very steep hills as well. If you're on a tight budget it is fine, if not pay more and stay on the bazaar side of the main street. Room was very basic and lacked even simple bedside lights.
