Nice hotel, nice staff. Awful breakfast
The room and view was lovely.
The breakfast wasn't edible for me and who I was with, plus a couple of other guests eating at the same time.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location with so much to do, will be booking again.
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, perfect location on the seafront with parking available. We had a room with a sea view overlooking the bandstand and pier which was amazing. The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was included with a good selection. The hotel had everything we needed, couldn’t fault it and will be booking again.

Filthy hotel, rubbish amenities.
food good, plenty of it.
Had to clean my own room. Not stated when booking a con I complained so they did it once. Awful job hair on bathroom by sink not hoovered. poorly made bed cups not cleaned properly teas not replenished didn't clean toilet seat did not clean sink common parts looked like never cleaned. doors between floors so dirty. And they charged a lot of money for this drivel. Check in staff not helpful, just didn't care.

Check the local Premier Inn for vacancies before booking.
The only problem that we had was that the rooms did not have any air conditioning. The fans provided were not strong enough as it was a warm evening. The rooms were ok. However the beds, furniture were crumbling. Breakfast was ok: nothing special.
Need new beds. The ones we had in our rooms were nearing the end of their lifetime. Rooms need air-conditioning (the mini tower fans were not up to scratch).

Good bad and ugly
Gorgeous building. Single room was a good size. I got a sea view which I did not expect. Fabulous fridge in the room - it proved to be a life saver in the heat. They dealt with my complaint quickly, offered me another room, which I declined. I got my refund in 2 days. My time on their bar balcony with a Gin & Tonic watching the red arrows still made my visit. Install air conditioning and I would revisit.
Unfortunately the room was too hot - unable to sleep, really uncomfortable. Booked out in the morning. Unable to stay another night. Was offered a small fan - useless - should have been in the room on arrival. Evening meal was a buffet - which should have been on the details. Kept waiting half an hour before they opened and by then the food was dry over cooked and unappealing. Such a shame. Big hotel - gorgeous but tired. Needs cracked, broken walls, ceilings and flooring fixed.

Friendly reception staff made checking in a breeze.
Great location. We were there during the Air Show. Had a fab room 114 with enormous balcony. Enormous room and bathroom. The bathroom was wonderful. All new and clean. The last night we were in 110 on fourth floor a corner balcony. Only one window would open. Very comfortable. The breakfast wasn’t bad. But please cook sausages more as they’re anaemic. Everything else was good. Great scrambled eggs and fried eggs. Great coffees and juices. We enjoyed the breakfast but no black pudding 🥲… Loved the hotel leaving candy rock and pens out for the guests during the air show.. Had sandwiches n fries which were delicious. Shame there’s no housekeeping. We were in a superior room and expected water. We didn’t get any but on asking at reception they gave us two bottles but only once. Would have been a nice touch. We were paying quite a lot being during the air show. It’s very difficult phoning reception from home. No one bothers to answer. I was told I could book the car park. Then I was told by email I couldn’t. I was worried as I’m disabled. They said we could park outside but they didn’t tell us the roads would be closed due to air show. We worried all the way but when we arrived I had a space booked in car park at £8 a day which was great. Don’t think the dinner was worth the money. There are tons of restaurants around that are much better and more friendly. The reception staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you. I was very impressed.
Whilst the bedrooms were good 114 was a little dusty. Both the balconies and thresholds were very dirty with Bird Poo. Don’t know why they don’t jet wash it .. First night we went into dining room 7.40. We were greeted by a miserable waiter who told us we had ten mins to eat. Food wasn’t bad it was a buffet. But not much there. He did get me some ice cream though as I don’t eat cake. Don’t like the refurbishment as it’s lost its Olde’ Worldiness which I loved… Lift could do with a good clean. Restaurant closes at 8 pm. Bar has restricted opening times.

Good location ....clever seagull
Watch put for seagulls coming into your room and syealing your food and in my case my watch!
Perhaps there should be some seagull prevention on the windows ...no air con so you need the window open!
