Fairly quiet. Modern caravans. Well kept grounds.
Unfortunately too many rats about which I found off putting

Self catering
Drinks at the bar very expensive.

Superb location, well appointed chalet, clean, comfy.
Sofa isn’t very wide or comfortable, and I’m not sure how you’d comfortably fit 4 people on it unless all sitting bolt upright. The phone signal is 1 bar only (if you’re lucky) so not ideal and there’s no wifi in the chalet - not great if trying work and 4/5G signal is also unavailable- but the main building did have wifi so we managed.

The location it was in, the activity facilities available with indoor swimming pool and very clean.
Bed and sofa were not very comfortable.

Nice and clean house, value for money.
Not something special but also very practical and comfortable.
If you want to do vacation with this concept, is an excellent choice.
I prefer the mattress to be harder.
Must put a thermostat in the house (You have only the option to on or off the boiler), because anyone can adjust the heating at any temperature that wishes.

Nothing as I did not use the accommodation.
Did not use this accommodation as I was allocated pet free accommodation when I wanted pet friendly accommodation.
My messages requesting a change to pet friendly accommodation were not answered.
Also. tried to call but was left hanging on and had to end the call.
Had to book separate pet friendly accommodation with another host.
No refund was given

Everything about Lakes Rookley was excellent, from the warm welcome and free upgrade to the accommodation and the location. Will definitely come again and you should be able to see a detailed review uk.cityaparts.hns.to soon.

unfortunately there was nothing I liked about my stay, when we arrived the static home was not what we were expecting, we were promised towels, outdoor space and furniture - we got none of these. - I called and we got moved… the second home was better, with outdoor furniture and towels. Until the second day where we had no hot water, we have a 4 month old who needs bottles made - this was unacceptable so we called the out of hours number where someone came straight away and advised us we have to move… For the third time!! The last accommodation was better again, however we had no fresh/new towels so we had to borrow them from our second caravan and no toilet roll meaning we had to go to the shops to purchase this… The final morning we went to grab breakfast, to be told we couldn’t have breakfast as they don’t do it? This was incredibly confusing as on the menu there is an all day breakfast option.

Great location and friendly staff!
The entertainment schedule was poor and didn’t cater for younger children but the entertainment team especially Lewis and Tom were superb!
Entertainment schedule didn’t cater for younger children
Paid extra for a lakehouse and had no view of the lake and couldn’t go on the balcony as it was full of cobwebs and dirty
Pool facility wasn’t good, no private changing rooms cold water and no suitable for younger children as it was all deep

Excellent welcome bag
Quiet
Paperwork confirmed we would have a lake view,. The wooded view was nice but we didn't have the lake view we had paid for. (Photo attached of our view).
Cleanliness could be better. Crumbs in kitchen drawer (photo attached), skirting boards dirty as were windows.
Our terrace was filthy, clearly not been cleaned before our arrival, and the table had holes in the top (photo attached).
Switch for shower room vent was above door (out of reach for me!).
Wish we'd been told that we would not be able to park outside chalet.
No wi-fi in chalet. Surely in today's world this is a given.

Fantastic location, the caravan was very clean and comfortable. The park was relaxed and tidy.
Unfortunately the outdoor pool wasn't open (contrary to what it says online) and in the current heat, it would have been a great extra!

Clean and homely.
Liked the En-Suite toilet in the main bedroom. Lots of
storage space too.
The little cleaning supplies were a nice touch.
There were a lot of dogs hairs in the carpet in the caravan. It was otherwise very clean though.
It also didn’t come with towels though the booking says they were included. Reception was very helpful though and provided us with them when we requested them.

Central Location makes easy to get around the island. The caravan was a good size for a small family.

lovely modern caravans. Everything was super clean
Having to book the swimming pool, felt unecessary especially outside of of school holidays. Meant we didnt use it as much as we would have liked.

I did like the view of the lakes, and the first impression of the cottage was nice.
The level of cleanliness left much to be desired. Especially the bathroom and all slighly hidden areas - which my little boy minutely explores.
One of the bedrooms was terribly unconfortable the floor creaking loudly, the mattress extremely unconforable and loudly squeaking on every move and a lot of noise coming either from the heating system or next door.

The site was nice central location to explore the island. The lodge was lovely and modern and the welcome pack with tea coffee biscuits milk and bubbly was a nice touch.
No wifi in the lodge or tv in the bedrooms also the parking for the lodges need to be clearer we was in no.19 but you had to park by no.16 there needs to be numbered spaces.

The location was lovely being able to wander around the lakes. The setting was nice and lit up in the evenings. The bed was comfy, and the caravan was warm and comfortable. The swimming pool was really nice and not too chilly when you got out. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The caravan could have benefited from a frying pan and oven tray

central to isle
could have been cleaned and checked that electrical were working properly

Location
Pool was shut - no food available - bar was shut by 20:00 each night. Accommodation had a list of items which was not fully supplied dishes, cups, plates etc a mixture of sets and not full set as listed on items supplied. TV reception poor due to only an internal aerial. None of the facilities on the web site met those available during the stay. WiFi in reception area only.

Nothing was open apart from the bar and arcade. There wasn't any mention of it unless it was there in fine prints.

Due to the time of year not a lot open
