Chambre fonctionnelle et très confortable
Très beau cadre
Le restaurant et le petit déjeuner étaient parfaits
4.3
Comfortable for an overnight stop. Restaurant was very good for evening meal - good quality food and presentation. Breakfast was also great with a wide selection.
Rooms were a short distance away from therestaurant but not a problem - only a 2min walk.

Prix
Autobus de clients bruyants, et insonorisation faible.

Spectacular restaurant. Nice clean rooms.
They were totally booked when we wanted to stay again.

The location was perfect.
4.3
Only the location is acceptable to people who are driving.
The experience of the staying was really unfortunate, and our dissatisfaction mainly includes the following three areas:
1. Fire alarm issues: The fire alarm went off around 5:30 am and lasted for at least 15 minutes, significantly disturbing our sleep. Surprisingly, no hotel staff or fire department representatives came to investigate the matter, leaving all guests in the building confused and worried. Eventually, everyone returned to their rooms and went back to sleep. However, the fire alarm blared again around 10 am, causing further disturbance and creating a horrendous experience.
2. Housekeeping protocol: We had to sleep until 11 am due to the alarm. The housekeeping staff entered our room without knocking when we were still in bed. I expect better respect for guests' privacy.
3. Front desk availability and communication: We were not informed that the front desk closes at 10 pm. We found a key code in a box we had initially overlooked when we arrived. We tried contacting the hotel for assistance, but nobody answered. This lack of communication and support was frustrating and unprofessional.

Hair dryer did not work. Hot water ran out mid-shower. Staff said they have a small boiler and wait until it gets hot again.
4.3
Outstanding value. First class food in their restaurant and an outstanding buffet breakfast included in the price. One of the best places we stayed in in our 2 week holiday. Thoroughly recommend.
Nothing.
4.3
A lovely continental breakfast with ham & cheese available. Would have preferred bread rolls in addition to bread for toasting, but that's only nit-picking. Cheesy pancakes were lovely. We started the day well.

The woman who checked us in(Agnieszka) was so helpful and kind and was a very conscientious member of the staff.
Our room was spacious and comfortable and the facilities were clean. Our stay here was last minute due to problems with the Ferry to Heimey. So, we feel we were lucky to find such a good place with easy road access to several interesting sites in the area and easy access to Hvolsvöllur for dining and shopping.
The person who seemed to be the proprietor and the woman who appeared to be his wife seemed aloof and unfriendly and didn't seem to appreciate our patronage of their hotel.
The bed mattresses aren't like here in the states. Be aware. There's a main frame to the bed and two small twin mattresses on top of it, which kept sliding all over the place. Minor in the grand scheme of things.

Nice room and facilities, good drive ways and easy to find

The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety. The rooms were quite big with huge bathrooms. The key pick-up and drop-off were easy as we arrived quite late in the night.
Breakfast and the rooms are different buildings, so if the weather is colder, then be prepared for a short walk outside.

Nothing that comes to mind
Terrible value for money (compare it with Geysir hotel in my previous review). They take advantage of the very higher demand in summer and just rip you off. You pay a 4-star hotel rate for a squalid room with a pair of highly uncomfortable beds. Breakfast was passable at best. The staff doesn't give a damn about anything either.
The only reason we chose it is because everything else was fully booked.

Very clean room, very cozy context.
Everything was ok.

The breakfast was excellent. The room was comfy. We had a pleasant stay. I would love to stay here in the future.

A little off the main road, but a nice, family run Hotel. Various options for accommodation. We were in the new building. Rooms were as expected. They gratefully allowed us to access breakfast earlier than offered. Restaurant (Hygge) menu was quite diminished from the time we booked, however the croquette appetizers and hamburgers were fantastic and the staff went out of their way to please us. The owner pointed out another waterfall to stop at on our way...
The logo pillows and bed slips were not necessary, but that's just my opinion.
Hygge website doesn't show pictures of the restaurant. We expected a more "formal" dining room based on the menu at the time of booking. You eventually realize that the pictures from the Hotel are also Hygge Restaurant. Very casual but good quality food!

Nice rooms, surrounding ,tasty breakfast
The heating in bathroon was not sufficient.

Breakfast was very good. The view was very nice. The hotel had a 9hole golf course and plenty of other attractions (horses etc...). We had no problems at all. The area is really quiet.

It is a very good location, with agriculture and mountain views. Good restaurant with very good service.
Walk from rooms to restaurant was along wooden walkway which was unlit at night and icy in the morning.

Check in was easy. There was a good restaurant on site that we had dinner in that night, and then breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was wonderful. There was a loud group staying, so the host put us in a different building from them, which was very appreciated.
The duvet covers were a crinkled design - not wrinkled, but meant to have a lot of texture to them, which made them very uncomfortable to curl up under and try to sleep. Our bathroom smelled strongly of urine. It might have been because the toilet brush was a permanent fixture in the bathroom, or perhaps not fully cleaned. It was hard to tell, but very off putting.

clean, quiet, very friendly with nice breakfast

Clean and comfortable. Breakfast included. Great location for viking history seekers and nature lovers.

Very good place and good value

A very good hotel with a wonderful nature and landscape around. We booked just one night there while traveling across Iceland, but I wish we could've stayed more. Modern facilities, spacious room, large bathroom, comfortable beds, everything one needs. Generous breakfast in a nice restaurant, Many attractions close to the hotel. Great value when we booked,
