Nice owners, amazing views
4.6
We stayed a Casale degli Ulivi for 6 nights (my, my wife and three young kids). We hoped for a quiet, hilltop apartment to relax in and spend some time swimming, reading books and taking day trips. What we got exceeded that - what a wonderful place. Cecilia and her family welcomed us and gave us the space and setting to have a perfect, relaxing holiday. It was nice to be somewhere there weren't too many brits (like us!) and where we could experience a much more authentic version of Italy. Gauldo Tadino is a funny little place - seemingly quiet, small, functional town. But there was sooo much going on and the more we discovered we loved. Not a town to walk around for hours (only a few really nice streets and shops in the older area) but there are some lovely restaurants and we visited during a music festival in August which was great. If you can go in September there seems to be lots of festivals then too!
Genuinely, I wouldn't have changed anything. Perhaps the only thing to be aware of is that the road leading up to it is a bit steep and a mix of "proper" road and gravel. So make sure you've got a decent car for it! Our little hire car managed it but the kids felt like they were in a rollercoaster! :-)

Everything was PERFECT and well worth the 1700 km drive. The hosts are amazing, the place is outstanding - we can't wait to be back. The Casale is beautifully located, in a secluded and quiet spot, offering the wonderful views. Everything is super clean, fresh and convenient. We have nothing but praise for the owners, who are kind, understanding, helpful and who take great care of their wonderful property. We loved staying there.
There's nothing to be "corrected". Everything was top-notch.

Great holiday house located on a secluded hill above Gualdo Tadino, near Perugia. The surrounding hills are nice and quiet for long walks. We have seen deer, wild boars and hares every day! Deer are not only seen, but you could hear them barking. It is a great place to drive around beautiful Umbria, but also stay and relax above the reality.
The place is clean and well maintained. The pool is cleaned daily. Bed sheets and towels are exchanged weekly.
The house includes 4 apartaments in total, has washing machine for all complex.

Charming house in the umbrian mountains. Splendid view on the surroundings and close to some of the major sights. Very friendly and helpful host.
Rather Challenging road to get there

We stayed for 4 nights and had a really pleasant stay. I loved the green outdoor areas and the swimming pool which was always the right temperature. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Although small the apartments had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend to friends.

The hosts hospitality was superb, so kind, generous and accommodating people. The apartment was spotless and the common spaces were for all to enjoy in absolute freedom, such as the outside fireplaces, the beautiful pergola or the beamed veranda for al fresco dining, comfy and stilish sunbeds, pool inflatables and even board games! Views are breathtaking and paths for walks are many and for all levels. It's definitely an amazing place for people looking for a full immersion into the beauty of Nature along with all the comforts, as well as for those wishing to visit historical towns in the area. A stay in at Casale degli Ulivi is truly a magical and relaxing experience. Thanks a million Cecilia, Stella and Roberto!
I can't think of anything I did not like. Everything was perfect.
