Hall noise was a little louder than I would expect but it may have been the gentleman speaking rather than the hotel

Excellent location. Friendly staff Love the mid century vibe. Cute
Better thread count. Could have been a notch higher in quality of finishes and furnishings
4.4
Beautiful property in convenient location. Nice room with thoughtful touches.
The complimentary coffee at the reception was super handy for our early morning check out!
4.4
Very well located walking distance from most attractions in Raleigh centre as well as shopping and dining options.
Friendly staff
Simple but well appointed room
Lively bar and lounge
My room was directly above the bar so it was noisy, but only until closing time which is as to be expected
The room did have a strange smell that I couldn't place. As with most smells I got used to it quickly but it was very noticeable every time I returned to the room

The lounge is nice and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating.
The hotel wasn’t very clean. The linens were itchy and the towels were stained.

Such attention paid to period details with modern touches. Love that the 1960s property wasn't torn down, but reimagined as this cool and modern space. Plenty of free parking. Comfortable beds. A NA mini-bar in the room with sodas, water, and North Carolina-made snacks that were actually really well-priced. Room in the fridge for a small box of leftovers or some breakfast, too. (Though you could also purchase pastries from a local awesome bakery in the Lounge!) A filtered water dispenser in the hallways (ice provided was small bags in a slightly broken freezer drawer).
Part of the renovation included switching the room doors to an inside hallway, which is great for security (hallways only accessed via key card) but unfortunately, it's extremely loud. If someone was having a conversation in the hallway, you could hear every word clearly. The hotel provided earplugs but even with them, I was awakened a couple of times in the night. If you're sensitive to doors slamming, talking, stomping feet, this may be a concern.

Definitely not the "motel" experience you would expect - the place is spotless, they offer you a robe, great ammenities, great service, and there's even muffins you can pay for if you don't want to walk around for breakfast.
My only complaint is - ask to avoid front rooms on the first floor, since you'll have your windows looking directly to the parking lot... Unless you don't care at all for privacy during your stay, or don't mind having the blackout down all day long. I do.

Loved the actual suite-type room with 2 bathrooms and 2 separate rooms (living room w a sofa bed and a bedroom). Perfect for a girls weekend! 5 of us were very comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly!!
Offer vending machines for soda/snacks. There was only a couple of drinks in the fridge and a few snacks provided (to purchase) in the room. At 25$ added to your bill, they were a bit expensive and not the best.

Booking and communicating with the hotel was easy. Very quiet in the rooms. Amazing patio and cocktail bar. Dogs not just allowed but welcomed :)
Overall a very nice stay for a night and design was well done. Tiny nit pick would be small issues with painting in the room we stayed in but did not make a impact on our stay.

The hotel is in a central location in the city. Within easy walking distance of a number of city museum and a good selection of cafes, eateries and local pubs/ breweries. The room allocated was very nice, spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel provided free drinking water and ice which was great given the very hot weather. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They also provided information sheets on local attractions, restaurants etc which I used as a first timer to the city. The hotel also has a nice bar and very nice patio area offering a selection of draft and bottled beers and spirits. A very nice hotel which I would recommend.
The hotel doesn't provide any breakfast even a simply continental breakfast but does provide free coffee in the morning.

This was one of the few locations on our trip that exceeded expectations. It's in a great location in downtown Raleigh and close to lots of restaurants. The room is VERY well-appointed and seemed to be well-thought-out by the designers. The staff was very friendly and helpful, particularly the night crew at check-in.

Very cute and cozy, convenient location, fun places
Housekeeping never came to our room to clean so it got a little damp feeling in there, but not enough to ruin our good time.
4.4
good location, cute aesthetic
our room smelled of cigarette smoke and it was extremely loud due to the music they were playing outside, bathroom was super dirty

The rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice!
There weren't juices available for purchase.

This was our second time and we just love this remodeled motel, it is so close to all the downtown Raleigh activities. You can park here and don’t need your car for the weekend. The Service is also excellent.
Everything is great. It could be a little cheaper.

Room was cleaned and updated but it is an obviously old building.
Horrible beds, trying to be an upscale hotel selling everything from $85 robes, JBL bluetooth speakers even ear plus and advil for 5x the regular price. Closes the "lounge" no vending machines
4.4
good location.
no microwave, small room with no chairs.

loved the atmosphere & location. the staff was so kind and the rooms were clean & comfortable. the lounge & outdoor patio were big pluses!

Classy 50's Motel. Great location- easy access to downtown Raleigh.
Would have liked more of a restaurant on site. Still easy access to local restaurants, no car needed- just walked.

Location! Cool retro digs!
wish we could have stayed longer!

Location, decor, staff.
Found HVAC a bit difficult to dial in to a comfortable temperature.

We loved this hotel for the many reasons mentioned by others, which I used to inform my choice: location, value, cool decor. The lounge is awesome! The bartender was attentive, friendly and mixed a mean cocktail. :)
The only complaint would be that the hotel only offers full sized beds in the double rooms. I'd much rather queen, since it's difficult for two adults to sleep well in such a small bed (we had two adults and one teen). The only other thing beyond their control, which I did not expect, was the loud train horn! The tracks are nearby and like clockwork, the train whistle blew in the middle of the night and again early in the morning.
