Very friendly staff, nice, tasty breakfast. Clean and tidy house plus well-equipped kitchen.
In the house where I stayed there was one shared bathroom, so there were queues. The garage was converted into a room, but it was big :)

Friendly people at the reception, have lots to offer when it comes to surf and yoga classes. Breakfast looked healthy too

What a great place, our apartment on the roof was simple, spacious and had a lovely terrace to sit out on in the morning and evenings. The little pool downstairs and the surf artwork around the place gave a really nice vibe.
Surf Riders is located perfectly, equidistant almost from the dunes to the centre and is set back in a quiet environment unless there is a party going on somewhere around, after all people are on holiday!
Breakfast downstairs was basic but all you needed to start the day, along with friendly staff from the reception to the kitchen we can only say we had really nice stay :-)
Some cushions in the room have served their life and felt like tea bags, time to send them to heaven I reckon ;-)
Couldn't use TV for music as there was no remote or physical buttons to change the channel.
Walls are thin soundwise, but it's not a deal breaker as most places in Fuerte have the same problem.

the location is the best thing of the hostel..
The toilets were dirty, one of them was out of order for at least one day..
The breakfast is super poor..
I was staying in one of the rooms downstairs in the main house and it was really noisy. You can hear absolutely everything

nice staff and nice place
breakfast starts at 8:30... often too late for surfers, but it is small detail.

fantastic staff, great vibe in the hostel, the hostel really tried to facilitate social interactions, great location, good connection with a great surf school

Breakfast was small but alright. Kitchen on the ground floor had all the basics for cooking and the bathroom was clean. The staff handled my stay (or rather incident) fairly professional.
The room was basically a garage in the basement with a bed and some furniture. I left a dry, wrapped piece of bread on the refrigerator before going to bed only to be awaken to the sound of giant cockroaches going at it. They were obviously too fast to be caught, so I spent the night half-awake and paranoid they might crawl into my bed. In the morning, I went to the reception to ask for a different room. Unfortunately, they were fully booked. So they offered me to spray the room with some insecticides(!) which can't be healthy for a person. I asked for a refund, which they agreed to but only because I booked via booking, as the hostel has a strict non-refund policy. Then they asked me to check-out, so that they could spray the room with insecticides and put it up as available again. What a world we live in..

I have been to Surfriders several times before the Corona crisis and loved it. Every time I went there it felt like coming home. The staff with Jan, Ella, Sabrina, etc was super cool and we went out partying und surfing together. There was an awesome breakfast at the main building and several dinner events like paella and barbecue with the whole hostel. That had been awesome opportunities to socialise, get to know new people and surfing buddies. Unfortunately, this special vibe is gone. Don't get me wrong it is still a good solid hostel but in comparison to the old days it lost his special soul.
The good things: the mattresses are much better than in the past. The rooms are clean and functional. Staff is friendly. Location is okay
When we arrived two bulbs (main lamp bathroom+bed lamp) weren't functioning. We told the reception and they promised to fix it. Unfortunately nothing happened and we had a quite dark bathroom when it was dark outside. We are used to throw the tissue paper into a bin instead of the toilet in southern countries. The last stays there was allways a bin with a proper cover/lid on top so it was okay and hygienic for us. This time the bin was broken and had no cover. We asked if they could change it for a proper bin but they refused it. That are small but annoying points. It would have costs them maybe 10€ to buy two bulbs and a new proper bin.....
Most of the furniture on the terrace was broken (two chairs and the only sunlounger).
Breakfast at the cafe wasn't good. The coffee was okay but the sandwiches, the sweet roll and the tomato bred were quite dry and not very tasty. We went there for two days and then just went to the hyperdino to get a more satisfying breakfast

Amazing place, sunrise in the window, quiet place to rest after hard surfing or hiking.
You may want to clean the dust on room ventilators to look perfect ;-)

located near the center and the port, the hostel was clean and comfortable. The staff was so nice and they organise activities for the whole property! Really suggested ☺️
I didn’t like the breakfast. I suggest to insert in the menu a sweet breakfast with croissant or cakes

Location. Nice house residents.
Creaking bed. Too thin bedding cold to sleep. Wind shaking doors at night. Poor breakfast ekscep coffe.
2.5
Location. Vibe in the morning. Common space at the houses.
Very noisy in the evenings (late surfer parties in the gardens/ at terraces). Rooms are not very fresh - you can smell and feel how many "party" surfers slept in it before you. Forget the hot showers/baths! Water in the evenings is barely warm. Swimming pool next to the house was very dirty (I could not see the bottom). Girls in the reception are lazy, you have to fill all the forms by hand.
