We visited for a weekend at Maple Grove Raceway, which was just 15 min away (and not the typical traffic direction).
The cottage is charming and quiet - we loved making use of the grill and fire pit, enjoying dinner outside with the sounds of crickets, peepers and other woodland friends, with quiet mornings with coffee on the back patio.
The home itself is well furnished with convenient amenities, we were very comfortable for our stay. Thank you so much, and we hope to visit again!

The property was beautiful and peaceful. My children survive without having a TV, we spent most of are visit in enjoying the backyard

It was a beautiful place that had privacy but was still near other homes. It was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed at and was perfect for us to bring our dogs. The homemade cookies and bread was a nice touch! Would def stay again!

This was our second year in a row returning to this amazing property, this year we added another day. It’s just so well kept and peaceful. The hospitality is amazing, wonderful welcome gifts such as baked bread and jam and cookies. Really peaceful and tranquil private setting. We love the fact that it’s like a mix of the woods and the farm all at once and with such close proximity to some great Area towns and markets. We are thankful for David extending his hospitality and plan to return again soon!

It was a lovely, quiet spot to stay for the week.

WOW! The photos don’t do this property justice! A truly beautiful secluded place to get away from it all. Booked a week with the family and had the most relaxing vacation we ever had. The house and surroundings are as beautiful as the photos lead you to believe. No catch. Highly recommend.

Even more beautiful than the photos! We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay. Everything was super clean and the place was well appointed. Every want and need had been thought of. I can’t say enough good things! Thank you David and Naomi!

We were only suppose to stay two nights. We loved it here so much we added two more nights to our stay. We brought our two senior dogs with us.They loved it too. This cottage was perfect for us. So calm and relaxing. We loved all of the extras like eggs, homemade bread, cookies, jelly butter! They are so thoughtful! So well kept beautiful! well manicured shrubs, and flowers everywhere. The mattress was so comfortable. Plenty of towels and extra supplies in case you forgot something. They have a keurig coffee maker with all the pods you need. The couch is brand new, nice and long to stretch out on. My husband enjoyed lounging on the recliner. The pictures on the site are not updated yet. Everything is so charming. We visited during the heat wave. The window A/Cs kept it nice a cool. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for peace and quiet. Very much needed these days. And they have a car port close to the cottage. We would love to stay here again. Thank you!

This is our 2nd time coming here, and enjoyed every minute like it was our first time. The cottage is clean, and has more than everything you would need. The view from the end of driveway is simply amazing, the yard is so relaxing, and we enjoyed the trials around the property.
We love it here and will be back soon

This was a magical getaway where my family and even my dog was in heaven. We enjoyed pulling up to a house that had a majestic appearance and when you entered you felt like you were in a story book. They had everything you could possibly need even though we brought it all, but they were one step ahead. All of us loved sitting out back and enjoying the sounds of the animals and the horses clopping down the road. So glad we stayed here and can’t wait to do some again.

Backyard was a hit with our two grandchildren. Wonderful home. We will definitely come back and stay here next time we attend a Sight & Sound performance.

I could not have been happier with this house. Absolutely charming and the entire place is made for relaxing and just spending time together. We took our grandsons, ages 6 and 8, and they loved it too!! It was wonderful watching them chase fireflies and walking the trails. Just a short drive to many attractions. We are ready to go back!

Cottage and property are even better than the pictures.
Owners were very quick to answer questions; and they welcome you with a little gift of farm fresh milk, eggs, bread, butter, jelly, and baked goods. Everything was delicious, especially the blueberry muffins.
Thank you for your hospitality and providing us with a beautiful place to stay with our dog while we visit with friends and family. Definitely a place to come back to for future trips. We’ll be coming back.

This was the best provisioned property we have ever rented - snacks, brochures and years of personal notes greeted us. We appreciated all the yummy treats! Such a beautiful, well-maintained historic house and yard! We loved watching the birds and lightning bugs as well as finding frogs, salamanders, and bunnies. David was very responsive to our one call for help. Highly recommend this property. This property would not work well for folks who have trouble with stairs as the only bathroom is upstairs.

Our first time using Vrbo and was a very easy process. Very clean quiet and peaceful. The special touch of homemade bread, grape jelly and delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. Also fresh eggs and milk. Was great for my husband and I and our dog loved the patio out back watching for wildlife. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend the cottage was a great stay. Thanks for sharing your home away from home.

I took my 2 dogs over a weekend and even with the rain we couldn't be happier. The covered porch was perfect and it has a nice trail in the property for the dogs to explode. Would definitely come back!

I booked this amazing cottage in Amish country for a milestone birthday and holiday weekend. It was the perfect destination for a girl, her friend, and her dog. I almost don't want to say more as we want to keep this gem all to ourselves :)

This was our third stay here and we had an amazing time. Our golden retriever loves it as much as we do. This is a great place that the owners obviously take pride in. We can't wait to come back again.

This property was absolutely fantastic. I knew by the previous ratings it would be great and it did not disappoint. The exceptional welcome hospitality of baked goods, bread, chocolates, fresh milk, eggs and butter were outstanding.
This property is absolutely beautiful and takes you back - literally centuries in American History. It is quiet, peaceful, relaxing and safely secluded. The home is incredibly clean, well-maintained and creates an environment like few other properties I have ever been too. It is well-stocked and the owners are incredibly welcoming- not providing tons of unnecessary rules where you feel like you cannot relax and enjoy the space. Truly one of the best VRBO properties I have ever stayed in- from Florida to California.
Thank you-
Mike & family from Ohio

Beautiful and secluded property with a charming cottage. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and welcome you with homemade bread, fresh eggs and milk from their farm. Very quiet and a great place to get away and relax and feel refreshed.

I grew up in this area and still have family here. The stone cottage has lots of character. We were pleasantly surprised to find fresh milk, eggs, delicious homemade bread, jam and chocolate chip cookies waiting for us, such a kindness. The cottage is very private and sits on beautifully landscaped grounds. We were able to cook, watch up with family and create more memories! We all felt comfortable and relaxed and enjoyed nature all around us. We were grateful to be able to bring our beloved dogs Maddie and Angus with us who were happy and content. I would highly recommend this place and we definitely plan on coming back. Thanks so much for all your hospitality!

This was our second trip to the Dutch Country Cottage and will not be our last. Everything is magnificent there! The attention to detail, the stocked kitchen, the stocked toilettries, the cookies, milk, eggs, butter and homemade bread; you could not ask for more. My husband’s favorite is the wood burning stove, mine is the bird feeder right out the kitchen window. Like the title says this is “our escape” and we love it.

We have been planning to stay at this property for months, but for various reasons we have had to cancel planned stays twice. David was very understanding and was kind enough to refund his share of our payment, making us all the more determined to stay here as soon as we get the chance.

Every single thing was perfect. Setting, home, town close secluded and private. Stove was toasty. Beds comfortable. Kitchen full with treats from wonderful owners. So so peaceful, like escaping to a STORYBOOK for a few days. Loved the covered porch and fire pit. You feel the atmosphere here. Soothing and loving and offers a feel of safeness. Wonderful people in town. Loved The history and character every inch of this property offered. MAGICAL in many ways. God bless the owners for sharing. Doug and Sherie of Mi

This cottate was adorable. The driveway is beautiful including the landscaping in the back yard around the firepit. We would love to go back when we could use it. It was to cold for our visit.
The treats from the host were a great touch , and the house is so cute inside, very clean. Surrounding area was pretty countryside but close to things!

This is our second stay at the cottage and can't wait for the third. We loved sitting by the fire, eating, drinking and playing games. The bird feeder outside the kitchen window is a great touch. So many beautiful cardinals, woodpeckers, bluejays and more. We did a few things like going to Bird In Hand (a little shopping) casino and Shady Maple Market but our favorite thing to do was to stay at the cottage with our golden retriever and enjoy the surrounds and watch the fire. Pure delight. We grilled every night even though it was chilly. The farm fresh eggs, milk, butter and homemade bread made our morning french toast "the best" in the world. Homemade cookies at night were scrumptious. Saving up to come back to this peaceful place that has a special place in our hearts

Quaint cozy farmhouse with a great backyard and fire pit. We enjoyed using the fireplace in the living room and cooking in the spacious kitchen. The homemade treats, and local milk and eggs were a very nice touch. Recommend for friends or family looking for a quiet getaway.

This is the second year in a row that we have stayed here. This makes for an enjoyable stay. Very warm and welcoming. Nice little touches like cookies, bread, and milk are waiting for you. The only drawback are the stairs to get to the bathroom and bedrooms. They are sort of a spiral. People with bad knees might have a problem with them, but not insurmountable. This was not an issue for us, but there is no tv. WiFi is here, though, so you aren’t cut off from civilization. Honestly, I recommend this property very highly, especially if you are looking to just escape for a little.
