About this bed and breakfast

Centrally located in a uniquely quiet, upscale neighborhood on a 1-acre lot. Enjoy the casita, which has 1 bathroom and 1 master bedroom with an incredibly comfortable Tuft & Needle memory foam king-size bed. With a fun 9' deep pool, a roaming tortoise named Halsey hangs out eating grass around our mid-century modern casita, inspired and built by an understudy of the famous Frank Lloyd Wright. Easy access to all the amazing winter and spring events like the Princess Golf Waste Management Phoenix Open, Professional Baseball Spring Training, Football Bowl Games, Barrett Jackson International Auto Auction, Scottsdale Westworld International Arabian Horse Shows, World Class Hiking, Road Mountain Biking, Handle Bar J’s Live Country Music & Friday Fish Fry, and Bike Week at Buffalo Chip with a Rodeo on Friday nights, 1st Friday Art Walk in Phoenix and Scottsdale, Talking Stick Casino, and lots more outdoor shopping within 2.5 miles at The Quarter, Kierland Commons, or the Promenade, not to mention the Scottsdale Mall just 5 miles South from us. Many people visit Arizona to go to 1 of the 7 natural wonders of the world, "The Grand Canyon," or Sedona's spectacular Red Rock. We are just about 2 hours from Sedona's Oak Creek or Tlaquepaque Shopping Village. Our little oasis in the desert getaway is a quiet, serene space surrounded by many very tall (15 ft.) plants, like a wall of oleanders-very Palm Springs and great for privacy. You will love to walk the neighborhood, and we’re close to many things like cute coffee shops, Mexican food to sit on their patio and have a drink, Traders Joe's, natural grocery stores, and beauty spas, many within walking distance. Our 74th Street is in a unique cul-de-sac with all higher-end style homes on large lots because it was horse property many years ago. The Casita is detached from our main house, which was built in 1962. Our property has a long driveway; when you pull in and drive past the garage door on the left, there are 2 private parking spaces available next to our welcoming entry gate just in front of the pool, where you can come and go as you please. Come experience our beautiful green space, “we love plants and cacti,” and enjoy our amazing AZ sunshine!

This is a great place to stay! Charity is so helpful and had everything ready for my stay. She also provided many restaurants and activities to do in the area. The casita is amazing! It is well stocked, very clean and comfortable! I would definitely stay here again!

We had a very nice stay & loved the beautiful guest home. We had a seamless check-in & out process. The location was awesome! The owners were amazing! They have clearly went above & beyond to make it a positive experience for their guests. They helped us with delicious local restaurant recommendations & directions. We truly enjoyed this fabulous Casita with the tasteful decor, beautiful furnishings, very comfortable bed and the awesome coffee bar. Charity and Jerry were very pleasant, wonderful hosts and gave us information on some of the best local restaurants. They also provided a very large case of water stocked in two refrigerators, which we greatly appreciated for our excursions in the 90 degree heat. Our favorite part was hanging out by the gorgeous pool, swimming and seeing Halsey! We would definitely recommend this Casita to friends and family and would love to go back again,

We have rented dozens of VRBO’s over the years, and this was the nicest we have been fortunate enough to stay at. Everything about the Casita is lovely. It was impeccably clean, remarkably well stocked with anything a guest might need and exceptionally beautiful. The pool was perfect in all respects. We loved watching the solar colored balloons being shifted by the wind. Charity was gracious in every way and was her husband, Jerry. We wish them well and thank them for their hospitality. The guest house is aesthetically pleasing and thoughtfully appointed. The property is conveniently located, making trips to the art museum, the MIM, the botanical gardens, and spring training games a breeze. Charity went above and beyond, making sure there was an umbrella when it rained and answering questions. Would return, for sure!

As prior VRBO host owners, we were pleased to see all of the effort that Jerry and Charity put into to every detail in this casita/guest house. Not only was it spotless, well appointed and comfortable, the outdoor space was beautiful. The owners are nothing short of special. They actually made our trip so much more special. The property is meticulous and if you are lucky enough to see Halsey (their Tortoise who lives on the grounds) you are that much more happier. My wife and I were simply astounded by how amazing this stay was... we needed the break together (no kids) and they made it SO special. I could go on... but alas, I say, if you are looking for a special place in the desert? stay here... it's SUPER private and SO fun! I would give this property 1,000 stars if I could... five is the max. Thank you, J&C! You and your daughters are something truly special.

Enjoyed a weekend away at their darling guest home, casita. Decor was awesome, pool perfect, bed super comfortable and the fridge is super cool. Hosts live in the main house on the large property and were fantastic. They give you all the privacy you want but will also engage if you wish being friendly and responsive. Definitely Recommend and would stay again

They were so genuine and helpful in providing us with information on things to do and places to eat. The location was private yet so close to all that Scottsdale has to offer. Property located in a very quiet, secluded area but close to everything. Resort like ambience with pool. Interior was fabulous, modern touches everywhere, high level clerestory windows made it feel very light and airy, offset countertop design in the kitchenette was simple but what a touch and the coffee table was a work of art! Bedroom was large with high quality bedding and the bed was super comfortable. The owners were very friendly and easily contactable. No issues were experienced. What a memorable stay!!
