Great place - recommended

Great sized comfortable room with fridge and kettle/ tea ‘n coffee plus outdoor table and chairs. Off street parking and external access with key. Good shower and facilities

It was clean and comfortable and all we required for the little time we spent there.

Location was much further out than I thought - that's on me! Bit uncomfortable in that it's a family home with children - felt like we were imposing when using facilities.

We could hear the family upstairs till quite late

Need to improve on caring notion

We reached the facility at 1.30am due to the bad weather and the postponement of the ferry. The owner changed the key box number without notifying us. After failed with few attemption in the cold dark night, we decided to press the call bells, the owner was inside the house and provided us the new code via intercom.

More like a hostel without a host.

Staying in someone's house, while no one else there, was weird. Not many instructions, so wasn't sure what is what. Shared bathroom with no toilet paper was not ideal. Room very cold even with little heater on. I wouldn't call empty container with cream in the room and almost empty jar of coffee a bonus. Walls in the rooms are definitely not sound proof.

Most things can be improved.

Not ideal. Windows let in air when shut. Needs improvement.

The bathroom floor was dirty, there was green mould around shower tray, the bathroom curtain was mouldy. The bathroom door didn't shut. Not enough blankets in the bed.

Exceptional

You have your own space here except for kitchen. I didn't use the kitchen so it's ok. Other than that, it was wonderful. Clean facilities and peaceful too.

Cheap and convenient

Bus stop right outside front door. Bed was comfortable. Shared toilet and shower was always clean.

The lady owner showed me to my room but didn't say that there were shared kitchen and laundry facilities I could have used. If you don't have a car, its quite a distance to the eating places and supermarket. Download the public bus app in advance.

Adequate for the price but slightly disappointing

Comfy bed and decent shower pressure, good location for what we required.

Poor instructions for check in, only communicated once weeks before and never thought to follow up again. Had to be let in by one of the kids who lives there which is quite irresponsible. Also bad communication on the extra charge rate for cards which was then rectified. The pictures in the description are not as advertised, there are numerous rooms and it will be a matter of luck on what you get. It is not a holiday home, it is a room in a family house so would not recommend for a couple looking for a romantic getaway, lots of kids running around. The picture of the lake is misleading as it is 10 minutes walk away when it looks like there could be a view from the house from it’s over inclusion in the pictures. We were surprised that there was no mirror in the room.

A pleasant weekend. ⁸

I actually stayed for 3 nights thanks to the kindness of Jenny. I had all Ineeded & was able to make my own food. I was very comfortable & slept well. My friend picked me up each morning & dropped me off in the evenings. I had my own key to get in & out also one for my room.

Nothing really. I was able to do all I wanted. I had brought my own cooked food & was able to reheat it. Was given space in fridge to keep my meals. Jug & cups in my room. I was happy.

A little bit more attention to detail would make this a lovely Airbnb.

The room was sunny and comfortable and was reasonably priced.

The owner was friendly but when showing us to our room, she was quite abrupt and just pointed to the hallway where the shared bathroom was located. There was no coffee or milk and only one teabag. The mugs had obviously just been rinsed and not properly washed. The shower could have had a more thorough clean. If these issues were addressed it would make a huge improvement. Good location.

Misinformation leads to dissappoitment

Sharing house and kitchen. Owner's cooking can be smelled. No privacy. Owner is kind enough for us to change to an apartment venue at extra cost.
