Fantastic overall. We loved Bayeux as well.

Paula greeted us at the front of the accommodation. she spent a lot of time getting us acclimatised to our “home”. It was just a short stroll to most of the sights (10 minutes). We loved the character of the tower (about 1640ish).

The only drawback are 43 steps to the apartment. Spiral staircase. Bear this in mind if you have mobility problems.

A perfect stay in Bayeux.

This property in Bayeux was chosen not only as a base for exploring the WWII beaches but also for exploring Bayeux itself - we could not have chosen better! Having notified Paula the morning of our arrival that we would be there earlier than expected, not only did she go out of her way to make sure that the room was ready but she was stood out in the street looking to welcome us to her fabulous home! The apartment, situated on the top floor of a medieval tower was an ideal location; a few minutes walk from all of the main amenities (bars, restaurants, boulangeries, fromageries) and easily accessible from the train station (a 10 minute walk away) and easy to find for our WWII beach guide. Paula was incredibly helpful and provided us with a lot of useful information as well as booking a restaurant for us. The apartment was excellent; spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable with everything that you could want, including a great shower, TV (with Netflix), a fridge (for the wine!) and plenty of tea and coffee. We even had access to an outside seating area which was a real suntrap. We would recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Bayeux.

Great stay for a visit to see the Tapestries

About 10 minutes walk from Gare Bayeux, La Tour is located closer to restaurants and Bayeux Tapestries. Paula gave great directions and even waited outside to make sure we found our destination! Good amenities.

Three flights of stone stairs can be hard to climb.

we were on the third floor of a very old tower, but it had been beautifully restored, and our 3 night stay was so comfortable. Paula met us personally, and took us through the ins and outs of the accommodation which was so helpful. Bayeux itself is a gem, a perfect place for tours of the d-day beaches and museums. we couldn’t have enjoyed our stay anymore then we did, it was superb.

Beautiful Bayeux Apartment

This little apartment on the top floor of an ancient tower is perfect for a short stay. It's clean, very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. The host is brilliant with communication and also made us some delightful restaurant reservations. We would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this as a base for others wishing to explore Bayeaux.

Well presented loft apartment in a great location, central to Bayeaux. Despite the accommodation being in a 17th century tower it was light, airy, warm and clean. The tower itself was an impressive structure which was aesthetically pleasing. The owner was helpful and responsive without being intrusive.

Beautiful turret stay in Bayeux

Location was perfect for our very short stay. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern, with great fluffy towels. Our host was very friendly and offered to make dinner reservations for us before our arrival. Her suggestions were excellent.

Beautiful space, great location, wonderful host!

If you’re going to Bayeux, stay here! It’s an old tower that was renovated into a beautiful open modern space with thoughtful touches. It was by far the best place we stayed in France! It’s right next to the center of town and a short walk to everything. Paula was a great host who had terrific recommendations and even helped us make reservations for dinner. There’s free street parking very close by. We wish we could have stayed longer and can’t recommend this place enough!

Fabulous little find..

Lovely atmosphere, very well renovated with a lot of thought and style. Paula was a great host and very welcoming. It's location is right at the bottom of the towns pedestrian shopping street and that made it very easy to go anywhere in pretty Bayeux which is a top French town. We found free parking quite easily up the road from the accommodation. Next time we travel through the area, we now know where we will be staying, thank you Paula 🙏

Tastefully decorated apartment near the city center

We loved the tasteful decoration of this old townhouse by Paula; it’s very clean and equipped with all necessities; location is excellent, tapestry around the corner, as well as all restaurants. Free parking in a nearby street.

The tower is a peaceful, home away from home, with taste of history to boot.

The history of the building was fascinating and the exposed beams are amazing. Paula took her time explaining everything to us and she has thought of all the little details. She took her time to show us places that were open on a Sunday in off season, and her recommendations where perfect.
