I want to acknowledge the property owner’s attention to detail. The sheets were awesome, the pillows were super comfortable, the entire place was clean and bright, there were tons of towels, the throw blankets were nice, the appliances were all spotless, and the fireplace was perfect!
It was easy to get to several of the major features in Acadia National Park like Thunder Hole, Jacob’s Pond, and Otter Cliffs. We plan to come again!

We loved staying in Northeast Harbor. Kathleen is an awesome host and the property is wonderful. NE Harbor is close to the action of Bar Harbor, has a cute village vibe, easily accessible trails for pleasurable walks or more aggressive hiking. It was so quiet and dark… we slept like rocks. We will return!

Super cute and clean property perfect for accessing Acadia without the hustle of Bar Harbor, but still close enough to go enjoy.

I think you should change your picture of the bedroom. No tv could be a disappointment for some. It was very nice to have Netflix available. Thanks for the experiance!

We really enjoyed staying in this cute cozy place on the second story of a barn/outbuilding. The unit was spotlessly clean and we were very appreciative of that. The interior was finished very nicely with nice materials throughout and nice cozy furniture. The kitchen was perfect size for whipping up breakfast before a long day of hiking. In the evenings we enjoyed time on the porch with a glass of wine or streaming movies on the TV. The only issue we had with the unit is that it can get a little warm in there on warm days. We remedied that by opening the windows and putting fans in front of them to bring in cooler air. Since the space below is not climate controlled it just builds up heat all day and that heat rises and gets trapped in the apartment upstairs. There is a very small AC unit in the living room window but we found that it was not very effective at cooling the entire space. Installing a larger unit will probably make guests more comfortable during warmer weather months.

Attic
This was an attic. Very hot. We finally got a small AC but the bedroom remained hot. It was not described well and but for some kind neighbors we would not have found the way in when we arrived after dark. There were more than one place at “28” joy road. We also found the lock unreliable so couldn’t lock the door when we left each day. The bed was terrible and I hurt my back sleeping on a broken down bed. Definitely not worth the price we paid!!!!!!!!

Awesome apartment and location
I cannot say enough good things about this stay. It is new, immaculate, private and so warm and welcoming. It was wonderful having a full kitchen for breakfast, and some dinners. The propane fireplace was wonderful. We really looked forward to returning to this cozy spot every evening. You can easily work to the adorable town of Northeast Harbor. Stay here!

Perfect for Acadia!
First off, this is without a doubt the cleanest, nicest VRBO property I've ever stayed in. As usual, no interaction with the host, all instructions were e-mailed and everything worked flawlessly. Once I walked in, I knew I wasn't going to want to leave. It's so comfortable and has all the amenities you could want. Two items I noticed differ from the description, there IS a coffee maker in the property and the TV in the bedroom has been removed. No big deal at all for me, but might be important to others. The property is in a perfect location for exploring Acadia and Mt. Desert Island in general. Since my stay was in November, I worried about nearby restaurants being open, but there was a lobster pound open by the marina and it was excellent. After a long, cold Fall night of taking pictures and exploring, the fireplace was very cozy and a great way to shake the chill. Wi-Fi was decent and allowed me to get caught up with work during my stay. The giant king bed was as comfortable as they come, and nice fluffy pillows to match. I can't recommend this place enough, wish I owned it, but I'd happily return for a stay when back in Acadia. Thanks to the host for keeping it so clean!

Cozy, Clean, Comfortable
We absolutely loved our stay! The apartment was the perfect space for two people to relax and get warm in-between time spent exploring Acadia! It was a very central location and only a short drive to trails in Acadia, Bar Harbor, etc... We would absolutely stay here again!

Lobster Loft
A special surprise to learn the Kate’s daughter-in-law, who lives two houses up the street, catches, cooks, and delivers lobsters right at dinner time. What fabulous lobsters they were! The loft is darker than it looks on-line, but other than that, very nice place to stay.

The landlord switched furniture. It was not the same couch as the pictures. And she threw our stuff
She was verbally abusive. It was false advertising for the couch. She switched it to a grubby old couch. And threw our stuff out of the place at 10am.
