We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were here for my partners 30th birthday and they made him a cake made of towels and wrote a 30 on the bed in petals. It was so special!

Great location for IWM, clean rooms and comfortable beds

Zeer netjes mooi ingericht prima ontbijt gehad.

Lovely hotel with quirky bar. Staff were really friendly. Walking distance to the local pubs. Cute room with good facilities.
We were in the room downstairs which we have dubbed the 'noisy dungeon'. There was an event on and we could hear them setting up in the afternoon, which we had no issue with. It was the clearing up that was the problem as there was still hoovering and talking at 1am. We would highly recommend not letting this room out when there are events taking place.

Well placed for our visit to Duxford IWM
The shower room and toilet was very small

Really great food dinner and breakfast. Great wait staff. Nice atmosphere. Lovely comfy beds. Lovely showers, great tea and coffee and sloe gin was amazing.
If I was being really picky the fancy lightshades need a dust.

From check in to check out everything was absolutely perfect. Very nice room and great hotel. Staff extremely polite and helpful. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

All good

Stunning venue and the owners have done a great job with the themes and decor, it's a beautiful place.
I was disappointed in the pillows and didn't sleep because of it, and the lights were challenging to switch on.
4.1
Nice big bathroom
Very uncomfortable bed, small room, too many stairs like a maze

beautiful house, decor was exquisite. Staff were very friendly. Gorgeous room and grounds. Breakfast was excellent.
Bedside lamp didn’t work. Team advised fresh water and some brownies would be brought to the room shortly after check in (nice touch), unfortunately water took 1hr 40 to arrive with nothing other than tap water in the room on a very hot day. Also by chance a large party took place the night we stayed which kind of ruined our romantic anniversary stay. I did raise these points with reception on our way out who apologised and said all guests were meant to be contacted before arriving to advise us about the party, but we weren’t. Had we known it wouldn’t be a quiet weekend we would have cancelled and booked alternative accommodation. I don’t feel that the points I mentioned were really dealt with upon checkout in the way I’d expected, especially when we paid £230 for a luxury stay. This is a real shame as we loved the hotel overall.

good and staff
my room was the courtyard room which was nice but the windows opened onto the tented area so it was dark and people could look in, on top of that they had a function that went on until 11.30 so was very noisy

Pretty place with really nice decor and style. The desk staff were both very helpful and kind. We enjoyed a few cocktails in the bar and they were amazing.
the restaurant ended up being too busy to serve us dinner in the bar (our own fault for not booking a table, but the staff did offer the bar as an option). also, the stable rooms were quite noisy with the tipi just next door, but okay when it closed.

the cocktail waiter was friendly, helpful, genuine. we heard him helping many people, very hardworking and knowledgeable.
we requested twin beds which the hotel confirmed but then when we arrived we were given a double and they questioned if we requested it. waited an hour for food when ordered, then one plate arrived cold. No wardrobe in the bedroom just a rail above a coffee machine.

Superbly cooked breakfast
It was really hot in the room through the night

- very nice decor throughout
- friendly staff
- food was really nice (both dinner and breakfast)
- cozy room and place
- it would have been nice to have normal bacon instead of streaky bacon for breakfast, as well as hash browns.
- the shower hose had not been cleaned - had some slime and a bit of black mould on.
4.1
Great food, great staff. There has been mention of slow food delivery, the food appears to be cooked to order and unlike some place Chef Mic(rowave) appears to have been off shift.
Loft 2: Wash basin tap feels flimsy, looks great. Shower head rusty or just dirty, not sure. Cheap feeling toilet paper.

This place was absolutely stunning, quite out in the country but great location for the science parks in the south of Cambridge. The rooms were really great, very comfortable and very clean and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The breakfast was also exceptional. I can't wait to stay here again!

We were here for a family wedding and the hotel is very well suited for small weddings.
We decided to upgrade our room to make the event memorable. We were given Room 1 which whilst being a good position in the main house has one of the worst bathrooms I have had in a hotel for sometime. The tiny sink is located on a shelf behind the toilet. It is impractical and un-hygienic and not what you expect for a £218 per night room. We visited other rooms because they occupied by family and cheaper rooms had better bathrooms although the location on a shelf behind or near to the sink was not uncommon.

book a room in the house - when I arrived I was taken outside to room at the back. awful room tiny bathroom- lights outside and the kitchen generator - was not happy - would not stay again. when I challenged the receptionist she was rude and said sorry you can’t book a specific room on booking . com and she couldn’t do anything about it. emailed the manager and had no response.

The Location was excellent for visiting the Imperial War Museum (IWM) at Duxford.
The breakfast was good although lack of cereals was noted.
The Evening Meal of Pan Seared Salmon was excellent and full compliments to the chef were extended.
The Staff were Excellent and made one feel very welcome.
Will definitely use The Lodge again

very cosy nice and personal. great position for the surrounding areas. staff were brilliant and so helpful. the sloe gin which was complimentary was a lovely touch and the filtered water jug was great!
One small and I mean small point there was no hairdryer in the room but it had everything else

We stayed here for our wedding night and so did some of our guests. The hotel were super helpful with anything we needed and the room was very comfy and quiet. The breakfast was excellent!
Our bath was not super clean and a previous occupants clothing had been left hanging on the bathroom door...
