The cottage had a wonderful view of Seneca Lake. The covered porch was great to have meals and play cards while enjoying the wonderful view. The master bedroom was huge with a king-sized soft bed and plenty of room for bags and dog beds for our fur babies. Having a fenced in area for the dogs was very beneficial and living 4 houses from the end of the road, kept the traffic at the bare minimum. The dock was long and in good shape but there was a tremendous amount of seaweed. I did not get in the water due to the seaweed but i was in the great hot tub very often.

Great location, enjoyed the beautiful lake! Property is fine for a short stay, nothing fancy but does the job! The only suggestion would be to have more amenities like prepackaged coffee, cream, etc.. Not a lot of shopping close and hours vary in this area so can be difficult to get these items. But despite that, I would stay at this property again.

Had a very restful and comfortable stay. Enjoyed the wineries and local fare.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Inside was very clean and welcoming. Our pets enjoyed the stay, also.
Our only issue was the amount of overgrowth on the steps and boat house down to the water. It made the stairs down dangerous and very tight. There was a great deal of poison growing in the brush too. It was disappointing because the posted pics made the area and the view from hot tub so open but was not the case.
We still had a good stay but the stress of the growth and descent was there.

A great clean camp, easy access. Would go back!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage while in town to see the eclipse.
Pros:
Super view of the lake!
The house was well equipped for cooking. It was clean and the living area was comfortable.
Bedrooms were good sized, beds were comfortable.
Kitchen and bath were a bit tight but adequate.
Close to many good wineries, hiking, and yummy frozen custard. We did not use the hot tub.
Cons: the inside you use a bit of paint in a few spots. The yard was full of debris but then it was just the start of spring in upstate New York. I assume it gets raked in spring. Old rusty decorations and non- functioning lamps in the deck should be removed. Would be good to have more lights that work outside.

I had a quick two night stay and enjoyed the place. The hot tub was nice and clean. Good location and very comfortable bed. Although smaller bathroom and kitchen. Very clean and check in and out was seamless.

Property was as described. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in as soothing music was playing on tv, lights were on, and electric fireplace was on. Bed we slept on was comfortable and although we didn’t really cook at property the kitchen seemed well stocked. House was clean and hot tub was great for after dinner soaks with views of the lake. We really enjoyed our stay.

Overall a nice place in a quiet location. Only complaint was the water quit working. Call to owner received no response. Luckily, the water came back on but would have been nice to hear back

The property is beautiful with magnificent views! Perfect location - do as much or as little as you choose. The cottage is super clean & equipped with everything we needed. A helpful hint - put the house number on a plaque at the end of the driveway.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was clean on arrival, and the house keeper even had relaxing music playing for us. We brought our two dogs, so the fenced in property was perfect for them to roam around and give us peace of mind. The location was the best part. We were 25min each way from Watkins Glen and Geneva. We never drove far to get to all the wineries and breweries. The neighborhood was quiet and secluded. When we didn't venture out to trails, walking around the neighborhood was peaceful. The sunrises and sunset from the dock were breathtaking. It was our first time at the Fingerlakes and we will definitely be back and would stay here again!

We loved our stay in this cottage. Walking through the house and into the living room, the lake view is incredible. The hot tub is a great feature, and we used it almost every day or night. We cooked most of our meals and ate every one of them on the deck. With the gorgeous weather and a view like that, we did not use the actual dining table once, but it was a great place to put all the wine and other goodies we bought. My only minor point of criticism (and this has been true of every rental I have stayed in, not only this one), is that the kitchens are so well-stocked with pots, pans and dishes that there is no cabinet space available for any food. We truly did have a magical stay though. The beds were very comfortable, the whole place manages to be cozy and airy at the same time. We came in mid-May, which is a very quiet time to visit, before school lets out. Spent our days drinking wine and eating all the cheese, our evenings on the dock, and our nights either in the hot tub or watching movies. All in all, it was wonderful!

We loved our stay at Arrowhead Beach. When we arrived the fireplace was on, lights were on, and it was warm and inviting. The location was perfect. The hot tub seems new and the view was perfect. We had everything we needed. And the cottage was super clean. Would come back again!

We came to the area for a winery tour event occurring over the course of the weekend so we were really only looking for a place to rest our heads. The place was perfectly located close to many of the wineries and a short drive to some terrific restaurants!

The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. The view is beautiful! We hung out on the dock and in the hot tub. The king bed is very comfortable. Probably one of the best beds I have slept in in a rental property. Good location close to wineries.

Love this place and just stayed for the 3rd time. We love everything about it: location, comfort, cleanliness. Always looking forward to our next stay.

The cabin is cute, and is a depicted in the pictures. The kitchen and bathroom are small, but functional and clean. We were only 2 people, so the small space was not an issue. The bedrooms are a good size, but I would suggest it may be time to replace the king size mattress in the master bedroom as you sink so far into the mattress that have 'climb' up to get out. We did not use the second bedroom at all.
The living room, view through the beautiful patio doors, and the deck are the reasons to rent this house. The living room is large and the views down to the lakes is gorgeous. Sitting on the deck with a glass of wine is wonderful. And the hot tub is a nice touch to come home to and round out your evening. I would not recommend the steps down to the lake for either the young or seniors as some pretty steep and slanted.
Although it did not effect our stay at all, some yard clean up and landscaping would help the appeal of the property.
Overall we were happy with our stay even though we would have appreciated the email with 'arrival instructions' to have come at the time we were told ( a week before our arrival) By the time we received the email ( after we requested the information), we had already started our travel and it was to late to shop at home to bring some of the supplies we were told to bring with us. We really didn't want to have to go shopping on our vacation for these supplies.

Property has great potential. View on a sunny day is very pretty. Location is good. Quiet area. Property needs upgrades both inside and out. Entry walkway is dangerous with broken cement sidewalk.
Online pictures do not reflect an accurate description of the furnishings.

Pro: Great location, beautiful lake view, super clean cottage (inside), super hot shower water.
Con: Communication - once I booked the property, I tried a couple of times by text or email to ask questions and received nothing in return. No communication about the broken sliding door onto the patio which resulted in a very bruised hand of my friend who was trying to close the door. A message about being careful or not using the slider at all would have been appreciated. The hot tub ~ either the listing should state the cover is extremely heavy and not accessible or remove the use of the hot tub from the listing. Lake access - no beach to access the lake, a ladder attached to the dock was the only access. The issue with the ladder, it is attached on one side, making it very unstable. The outside/property hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. The grill was not useable - not clean. Concrete steps leading from the parking area to the cottage are not stable and chunks are missing making it difficult for mother to negotiate.
Overall: The cottage itself was so clean! Great time by the group and spectacular lake views with morning coffee or late night wine and cheese. I understand the issue with supply chain and repairs, however, an email about this would have been appreciated. I should have done a better job of vetting this property and I would have seen there was no lake access from the beach.

Lovely view
We liked the location on a cul de sac. It seemed like a very nice neighborhood. The view was lovely. The house didn't look quite as nice as in the pictures but it was roomy and comfortable. The one problem was the sliding glass door was very heavy and hard to open/shut. Three of us got fingers pinched in it, really needs to be fixed.

Beware
The inside of the cottage and cute and super clean. However the outside needs work. The door to porch is a joke. Hard to open and screen in broke. The hot tub was nice but very heavy top to get off and on. The check in process was the worse. My daughter and her husband drove from Virginia for over 10 hours and were eager to get out of the car. "Martha" whoever she is threatened us because they were early. They did not enter the cabin with their stuff until the cleaning lady said she was through. Martha's spy camera should be moved to see the entrance of the cabin not the upper driveway and yard. Also asked during the week who else was there. No one was but the cabin next door's drive had parked their car behind ours. Again the spy camera not giving the whole story.
Thank god there was so much to do in the area that made up for the things listed above.

Perfect experience!! Enjoyed mornings on the deck with coffee and sunsets in the hot tub. Communication to the property manager were always promptly answered. Would definitely stay again.

Sliding door broke my finger
As other reviewers have stated, the sliding door is difficult to slide. However, the dangerous part about the door is that an exterior handle has been installed which does not leave any clearance between the handle and door frame. So, if you are using a normal grip with your fingers wrapped around the handle, then your fingers will be crushed between the handle and door frame when it closes.
The first time I closed the door from the outside, it broke my finger. Getting x-rays and a splint was not how I wanted to start my vacation. Luckily, VRBO has liability insurance to cover property safety issues like this, so at least they reimbursed my medical bills.
There are reviews dating back at least to January 2022 describing the poor condition of the door. It's disappointing that the property owners didn't take any action (e.g., replace the door, repair the door, block off the door, warn guests about the door) to prevent this kind of injury.
In any case, if you rent this property, do not grab the exterior door handle as normal. Only use an open palm to push the door closed.

Lovely stay
This house was perfect for our needs. Kitchen was well equipped, furniture was comfortable and we spent most of the time out on the covered porch overlooking the lake. It was peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Stay
Nice quiet area (went right after memorial day) right in the middle of the seneca wine trail. Easy to get to the town of Penn Yan as well as to drive to Watkins Glen. Some maintenance stuff at the rental that the hist is working on but did not have complete by my stay. They made sure to let me know in advance so I could be prepared.

40th Birthday Girls’ Trip
I just returned home from a lovely weekend at the cottage with friends. The location can’t be beat - it’s located on a quiet dead-end street within easy driving of many wineries. Don’t miss ice cream at the Spotted Duck! The views from the cottage were epic, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The cottage was spotless and everything was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. As others have stated, the hot tub cover is very heavy but we managed just fine, and the slider to the deck needs to be repaired but the owner is aware. Once we figured out the trick to opening and closing it, it was no big deal. The check-in process couldn’t have been easier. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic view
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean and cute! Do watch out shutting the back sliding door as it can catch your fingers. The morning gs sitting g on the back deck or dock was amazing! We also highly recommend Reagan’s canoe and kayak rental … brought kayaks right to the cottage. Kayaking on the lake was perfection!

Great location, beautiful view but..
The location was wonderful right on the water stunning... the home was clean and tidy. However, the sliding glass door onto the deck was so heavy it was very hard to open and close... and it's dangerous. When you close the door from the outside the handle doesn't stop and my husband almost broke his fingers . Also, the hot tub was great except it is ridiculously heavy, even with my husband and I lifting it to put it back on we almost couldn't. This home needs updating and some tlc. But even though it was still a nice place to stay

Great views and great location!
Such a cute place, definitely outdated, but it was still nice to get away. The hot tub has a wonderful view of the lake, although the cover is very heavy.
