We really enjoyed this house! Very clean, great location, everything that was promised in the advertising.
6.0 / 10.0
Location is really good if you want to be downtown. All the bedrooms have a bathroom. No tubs, sinks are small and literally no place for your toiletries.
All the window frames are old and need to be replaced. I mention this because in the SC heat the AC works hard cooling during the day. A little warm.
The AC in the front is a split unit and was displaying an FO error the entire stay. As a result, only was as good as a fan.
Property managers were very responsive. Text is the best way to reach them but we were there for a week and they were unable to correct the problem.
Parking is a little tight, you get two spots for a midsize car or SUV.
Overall, not a bad stay especially if you are out and about all day and just need a place to sleep and relax a little at night.

We rented several of the homes on the property for a large wedding and it was perfect. The house was decorated so cute. The service of the staff was amazing and so accommodating. We would definitely rent from them again!

The house was well-located, within walking distance of the shuttle though Charleston is a great walking town and you can definitely walk all the way to the Battery if you're in shape. The house was well-provisioned with plates, glassware, basic cooking pots and pans, flatware and knives. Beautiful wood floors, comfortable beds, good water pressure and roomy showers. The bathroom sinks were inexplicably tiny, but that's the only problem. We did not know that the place was next door to an event venue with amplified music and revelry, but everything closed down by 11 pm, so no late night partying. AC cranked up good - from West Coast we're not used to humid heat outside, then frigid blasts inside, but I guess you can figure out how to turn it down. Bars, coffee houses, restaurants, take-out all within a block. We walked around during the day and night, no worries. If you prefer a house to a hotel, this is a well-maintained, well-located option. We would stay here again.

Very accurate website description & comments about the property. Super convenient location to walk to king/market street. House was well maintained & check-in process was easy. We had one small issue upon arrival at the house but management offered a solution and we had no other problems after. It was difficult to do anything in the bathroom involving the sinks (washing face, brushing teeth) due to the strangely tiny sink & not having any counter space or drawers was a little challenging. Would be helpful if floating shelves were installed to help with no counter space. A nightstand or dresser in the closet would be a nice addition too. We would definitely rent from this company again, but would likely choose a location with better storage. Overall, satisfied/4 ⭐️.

Four siblings and spouses got together in Charleston for a couple of days. The house was lovely and well appointed. We would definitely stay there again. There are lots of small local spots to eat, have coffee, or shop nearby, but you may not notice them if you don’t get out and walk around the block.

Great location, very clean, lovely home!
Pros: walkability to King St, great restaurants nearby! Loved Bistronomy about 3 blocks away, one of our favorite meals. Bourbon and Bubbles, so close and great nightcaps. Halls Chophouse was great, as was Leon’s Oyster bar, all easy walking distance.
Cons: very small bathroom sinks and no toaster, which is an extremely minor inconvenience.

We had a great time and enjoyed the property. Wish it had been a little closer walking distance to historic downtown.

We loved the property and its location was as advertised. We tried to get in touch with the property manager but our call was NEVER returned. I’m not sure what we would have done had it been an emergency.
The biggest problem with the property is lack of storage in the bedrooms. There are no shelves or dressers in which to put clothing. That meant using the closet to hang things one might not ordinarily hang. That was fine EXCEPT there were not enough hangers. We had to buy our own. We still had to use our suitcases for our clothing.
The bathrooms had the tiniest sinks ever which made the vanity really tiny. Very little storage space there.
The linens, bed and towels, were not luxurious. The comforters on the beds were not consistent. One comforter was so thick that it was impossible to sleep under while the sheet was so thin, it offered no warmth. Blankets in the unit would help tremendously.
There is a wedding venue located next to the property. We didn’t have any issues with noise but we were not there on a weekend.
We enjoyed our time at this property and feel with the addition of shelves and dressers, updated linens, blankets and coat hangers that it would be almost perfect!

A few recommendations. Change the color of the house from yellow house to Blue on the Arrival & Check-In details. Put a 4th chair at the counter.
TINY sinks were very inconvenient but will definitely recommend staying!

We enjoyed our stay. Our daughter got married next door at Cannon Green so the property was extremely convenient and met all our needs. It was nice that each bedroom had a bath (very small). The front porch was great since folks stopped by during the week. Overall it was a nice place and we would stay there again without hesitation.

The property was very well stocked. Spotless. Comfortable beds. Wonderful for multiple couples or sisters/friends trip. 4 bedrooms each with private baths and a half bath off hall. Great location. And quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Communication with owner. Quick and responsive

This was a perfect property for a girls weekend.
The space/decor was just as cute as shown online. With 4.5 bathrooms, we were very comfortable getting ready to go out. Our one surprise was discovering that we were immediately next door to a wedding venue, so there was loud music/partying until about 10:30 Fri and Sat nights. Not the end of the world, but not the quiet hideaway we were expecting. Other than that, it was exactly as advertised and perfect for us!

We reserved this Guesthouse last February for 4 couples to celebrate New Years together. We couldn’t have been more pleased with our accommodations. The Guesthouse was so clean and comfortable. We could easily walk to King Street and the Maket.

My family stayed at this property over the long weekend of my wedding. Any questions that arose during our stay were answered immediately, and the home is beautiful, fully renovated, and well cared for. Location was great - walking distance to the bar & restaurant end of King Street, and walking distance to many other short-term renal properties in the same neighborhood. The latter was a bonus for us, as several of our wedding guests/additional family members were steps away from our unit!!

8.0 / 10.0
Cute little house in a convenient location. Good space for 4 adults and 1 child. I think it would be a little tight for a bigger group if you wanted to spend time hanging out at the house. My only gripes are that their noise rules make it seem like you are in a quiet neighborhood when you are actually right next to an event venue with loud music all afternoon and night. And the bathroom sinks are so small you can barely brush your teeth in them. But overall we had a nice stay!
8.0 / 10.0
We all agreed that there were pros and cons on this property. Mostly pros, but there were a few things that would have helped a lot. An extra shelf in the ultra compact bathrooms would have been a huge help. In the kitchen, we felt the addition of dish towels and cloths as well as a toaster would have helped. The location led us to believe we were closer to services ( food etc) it’s not. Also this is a college kid neighborhood so there is that activity. Not horrible but nonetheless that’s where it’s located. Loved the four bedrooms each with a bathroom and comfortable living space.

Had just what we needed to enjoy our short girls trip. It was nice having individual rooms and full baths to ourselves. Very easy check in and hosts stayed in touch in case we needed anything.

We had four guys go look at a business and instead of staying at a hotel we decide to stay in this house. Everything worked out awesome, great location, parking is a little tight but other than that it was awesome highly recommend.

We couldn’t have asked for a better location! We were within walking distance to the heart of
Charleston! Two blocks from King Street! The cottage was spacious enough that we all had our own bathroom- and the living room and kitchen were a great gathering place for us all. It was too hot to sit on the porch or the swing, but that would have been a great place to hang out, too! This was the perfect property for a girls’ trip and I would highly recommend it!

We enjoyed our visit to the "green door" house. It was very well situated to walk to downtown, get dinner/drinks or take a walk around the university campus (nice cool shaded area).

AMAZING! We all LOVED this house, location and property management company!
My daughter wanted to travel to CHS for her bachelorette trip with her bridal party (and me!) From the minute we found this house on VRBO we loved the layout of the house, how each bdrm had its own bathroom which is a huge help for 8 girls, the front porch and how conveniently it was located to King St. From the first communication with Kerri & Brian, throughout the booking process, check in/check out process the communication was truly amazing and so helpful and made our experience memorable traveling to a new city that no one in our group had ever been too. The front porch is adorable with porch swing and more dinning options, the kitchen/living room are open for gathering with the group, the BEDS…..not enough words to describe how wonderfully comfy all the beds were you literally feel like your sleeping on a cloud! We highly recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in Charleston to stay here….we’ve already been talking about returning and will defiantly be booking here again!

good centralized location
Well maintained property in Charleston, SC that was located close enough to where we wanted to explore yet not too close to be in the middle of all the noise of historic downtown. We enjoyed the general feel of our rental and was told by all how pleasant a time it all was.

Perfect Weekend Getaway
We stayed here for a girls getaway trip, and it could not have been more perfect! The house is located in a great area where we were able to walk to tons of bars and restaurants. There were 7 of us staying, but the multiple bathrooms helped us never feel crowded. We stayed in one night to cook and the kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed. Would recommend again!

Beautiful Home
We booked this lovely home for a girls weekend for myself, my sister, sister-in-law, and my mom. We loved each having our bathroom and the place was clean and comfortable. I will say that the kitchen supplies are relatively sparse. If you are doing very basic cooking, should be fine but don't expect any specialty cooking tools. There are plenty of wine glasses, though, and we appreciated that! The location is fantastic and walkable to downtown plus there are several really great restaurants nearby. Would absolutely stay there again - highly recommend.

Wonderful Experience
Accommodations were excellent. Great location. Everything we needed was provided. They even went the extra mile to work with medications that needed to delivered in advance of us arriving. Looking forward to our next visit.

So Cute and Fun
I have stayed in many VRBO homes and I would place this one in my top 10. The bedrooms are spacious and each bedroom has its own full bath with shower for two or more ! Ha! The living/common area is kinda smaller, as well as the kitchen but the small porch area is perfect for the party to take place outside. Again, it would be in my top 10 and I hope to return soon.

College roommate reunion/big birthday
I loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house is cute. The street was quiet. We were close to King Street….which is the main drag. Dry Bar was just 4-5 blocks away….if you want to get your hair done. We enjoyed a food tour in the area, yoga on a beach (Uber drive), walking around the quaint streets and ally’s. I liked the back outside eating area at Maya….which has a covered eating area….so still go if it is raining.
The house is removed from the main area enough that you can walk there easily but it isn’t loud. The water heater in the back of the house makes a noise and the person in that room plugged in a noise machine that was in the closet.
Wear comfortable shoes…the pavement is uneven everywhere in Charleston.

Great, but maybe not that great…
First, let me say that everyone I dealt with in terms of property management was outstanding. The property is very nice with comfortable furniture and a WONDERFUL front porch. Having said that, in comparison to the many properties that we have rented from VRBO, it’s pretty lean in what it provides. Equipment in the kitchen was practically nonexistent. This may be due to its location, Charleston being a serious foodie destination, so maybe no one wants to do anything in the kitchen besides store beverages? Shelving or hooks so that you can put a few basics out in bedrooms and baths and not have to rely completely on living out of your suitcase would have been appreciated. Nightstands on both sides of the bed would have been handy. Our bedroom had one with a surface area of about 10x10. Fur pillows in rental units (like our sofa and bar stools) are pretty gross when you know that they can’t be laundered. Again, they provide an actual blueprint as well as pictures, so I can’t say that I was deceived in any way, but you need to seriously compare this to other properties available before you pull the trigger.

Girls getaway
The Guesthouse in Charleston was THE perfect place for my three friends of forty years to reconnect. Situated near the historic heart of Charleston, we were able to relax and chat and then enjoy all the culinary delights and historic beauty of Charleston. Having our own rooms and bathroom made it exceptionally comfortable. The Guesthouse is a lovey, modern, get traditional style house that fits right into the historic theme. The host was very responsive to our last minutes ask for an authentic and local dinner suggestion. We absolutely loved it and will be back. Sooner than later we hope. Xo
