Location
Loud noises from 7am. Loud banging on the wall I reckon there was some sort of store room on the other side of the wall which was really annoying. It lasted for a while and woke us up. Also the room was pretty chilly

Perfect location for anyone wanting a central location to explore Brighton.
Certain aspects of the hotel look a little bit tired. Nothing too extreme but certain areas could do with a bit of paint.

Location is wonderful!
Narrow corridors and steps in corridors which make s family vacation with children in a push-chair harder in this hotel.

I didnt order breakfast but I regret because the foods smell and look very good, and the girl with pretty blue nails at front desk people are so friendly and polite, the rooms are clean and with windows, it is beyond my expectations!
By the way, perfect location!

The location of the hotel is amazing, right in front of the beach and about a 15 min walk to the Brighton Pier. I was originally in a 4 bed dorm, there was a problem in the room during the night that the hotel was not responsible for (very drunk guy) but the man at the reception handled it perfectly and I thank him! I was changed room and put in a single bedroom with a view on the sea, plus I was offered breakfast (which was delicious) at the hotel's restaurant for the inconvenience.
The bedrooms were really nice and cosy, well decorated and clean. The lockers are perfect and practical. The bathroom is big and functional.
I had a great stay and I will probably come here again if I ever come back to Brighton! Thank you Selina and especially the guy at reception for handling the problem and making sure I was safe!
Unfortunately there is no female only dorm and it's too bad. It could be a really good idea for the hotel to do that as it's now becoming a criteria for some women who want to feel safe while solo traveling. I still booked in the mixed 4 bed dorm because I only had one night so I decided to try, but the experience I had juste made me feel very unsafe to sleep in a dorm with men. Though I know it was just bad luck and it's not always like that!

The hotel is centrally located and very close to the beach. Lots of restaurants, pubs and grocery shops nearby as well.
The room amenities were a bit basic for the price.

Room was spacious. No kettle or tea/coffee in room disappointing. Old windows let in noise. Clean. Lovely. Modern. Fresh.
Kettle in room for hot drink

I actually wanted to give it a 10 at first, because the staffs at Selina Brighton were really helpful, friendly, and give off great vibes. Totally a treasure. And they even have a co-working space. The interior design was also so pretty. However, due to the incident with bed bugs, necessary medical bills, almost no replies (had to send several messages to get 1 reply) and doctor appointments later, the highest star I could give is a 4.
Bed bugs and the response after the incident. Due to the bites and allergies to them, I had to pay over 35 pounds extra just for the medical treatment until now (a week since the incident). The bites were overall my body (the back side was even worse), feet, and face that I had to cancel my rest travel plans in England and it was so bad/ the bites were so many that even a ‚big‘ tube medical cream was only enough for just one-two days, so I had to constantly buy a new one. Almost the full price of the room was refunded, but the hotel/ hostel probably didn’t want to help me with the cost for the pharmacy or basically just ignored all my messages regarding that.

I loved the decor it made the place feel so cozy. Every member of staff I met was so friendly and kind greeting everyone with a smile on their face. The food and complimentary drinks were phenomenal! The view beautiful 😍 10/10 would recommend to friends and family. Definitely will be staying again for some more summer fun 🤩.
The elevator is a bit cramped, especially if you’ve got a few bags w you. It says the maximum hold is 4 but it was a struggle with just two people with luggage.

Fran on reception when I arrived was just the best, I had to check in late at night and he was so helpful.
The phone operator and person who answered on behalf of the Brighton location were amazing but the process to get to them could’ve been simpler.
