Large, clean rooms.
Pool not really useable. Had leaves in it and right by where people were eating in the restaurant. Would not have been comfortable in swimsuit or with kids splashing due to the proximity. On the first night the power went out. We were offered a move to sister accommodation, tried to give us two double beds when we’d had 2 doubles and 4 singles booked. Sister accommodation didn’t have a pool either. This was sort of rectified with another double room being provided but still meant children weren’t near adults. On second day we were told that the sister accommodation wasn’t available for our whole stay (not mentioned previously) so we ended up having to move again after finding our own alternative which was costly for us but at least we ended up with a useable pool.

The location was good for getting around. The room was clean on arrival and the WiFi was great in the room. For a 3 night stay it was fine. We were very rarely in the room anyway.
The room was a little compact and not one like the picture would suggest, but that could have been a booking oversight. The safe advertised wasn't in use. There were two in the room , one larger old safe that was bolted down but not working and a small loose one sat on top that was locked. Did ask for this to be opened for us but never happened. The free toiletries were a couple of the tiny hotel freebies you see for an overnight stay, these were never replaced so had to buy some. No one (cleaners) went anywhere near our room during our stay. The option for breakfast advertised didn't exist , they don't do breakfast when we asked. The option to pay by credit card advertised is also not an option, cash only. There was a mini bar advertised, this was a empty fridge. There were just two satchels of coffee and two bottles of water on arrival, these were never replaced. There was never anyone on reception and this appeared to be reliant on just one young lady who could speak English. For anyone who may have difficulty with stairs at all this would be no good as it has a spiral staircase to the floors, no lift. We were OK, just took our time up and down them when required. Area very noisy at night and early morning, I am a light sleeper but did take ear plugs which worked a treat.

It is in a great, central location with street vendors right outside the hotel with delicious snacks and coffee. Nearby there are trendy bars and restaurants.
The wifi wasn't very strong, and went out completely our last 24 hours. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Great location. The family suite was convenient becasuse there is an internal door between the room. Nice seating area in front of the room. With 42 USD good value for money in this area of PP. We would have given a higher rating if they would have presented the place as it actually is: a basic hotel.
The place is a bit run-down, it needs maintenace and better cleaning. The (limited) waterflow out of the shower and sink sprays to everywhere (chalk). The pictures and advertisement as 'boutique' are a bit misleading. It's a basic hotel with some boutique features. The pool is totally useless, it is in the middle of the restaurant. Pool was closed when we were there, but they did not appologise for this. We didn't see any reception staff in three days.

Staff were nice and helpful. The location is near Independence Monument. It’s within a 10 minute walk of the river and palace. There is a couched area where guests can sit outside on each floor.
The pool area was cluttered with stuff so it didn’t look like the picture at all. I didn’t see a single guest hanging out near it.

Good location and inclusion of the pool was great.
Only one staff member spoke English. Room was very poorly maintained, I thought the ceiling fan would fall down. Cleaning was not undertaken unless you demand it. Security at the hotel is a great concern with people able to wander in off the street. The photos promoting the hotel do not clearly reflect the property which is very run down.

The room itself was exceptional. It was clean, spacious and the beds were very comfy. It was wonderful to be with our kids but to have a separate room.
The pool was very small and didn't look to be very clean (in April). Breakfast was ok

Great location and helpful staff
No WiFi in room - was fixed in 30min, reception is almost always empty, for 3 days my room was cleaned once after I asked for it and they forgot to give me toilet paper

The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is kind and the location is perfect: walking distance from the Independence Monument and also has a supermarket, ATMs and restaurants super nearby.
The room was not quite clean when we receive it; our feet were black after walking bare foot for a few minutes, the toiletries (shampoo and conditioner) were half-used already and I even found a pair of earrings on the coffee tray. I don't believe our room was cleaned any day of our stay. However, I did see the staff cleaning the common areas every day.
The hotel also has a restaurant in the first floor and it was noisy - music too loud, karaoke and drunk people screaming - every day until around 10-11 PM. Internet was not very strong; however on the last day it seemed to work better.

The size of the room was great and the bathroom was very spacious with a ladder to dry our things. Dresser and hangers were great. Bed was comfy. Location is good, near a local market and many restaurants. However our room was near the main road so very noisy.
A/C was really weak and the safe was not working but they said they'll fix it right away. There were a lot of noises in our room from the outside, very early in the morning so maybe not for the light sleepers. The pool seemed not open when we were there. I felt uncomfortable because there was rarely anyone at the reception desk so you could walk in and up to the room without any blocks. This did not feel super safe for our stuff.
3.6
The urban decor in the rooms and location.
The staff, broken toilet, blocked drains, lack of facilities, non existent Wi-Fi.
3.6
The room was large and comfortable. We really only slept there because we were in transit but it was perfect. Great value.

The family room, location and pool
Not much else except for a comfortable room. Little in the way of a menu or other services.

Good size room, with comfy bed, working AC nice walk in shower, kettle available, slippers provided, super helpful staff that printed documents I needed.

Bamboo hotel was very nice! Comfortable and spacious rooms and really great area for going to meetings and seeing local sights. I really liked the balconies on every floor and the views of the city! I would stay back here again.
The internet at Bamboo was not very good during my stay. In my room the internet kept shutting off and would not work for long periods preventing me from doing my work and effecting my meetings to the point that I had to pay to go to neighboring cafes.

Location was good
The guesthouse looked a bit runned down. We got a room which has some maintenance issues: shower head was spraying on the walls, aswell as the tap, the toilet had a dirty seat (was not cleaned when we checked in), pigeons inside the ceiling over the room... We advised the reception about these issues but nothing had been done during our stay, hopefully they will fix it soon...

Quiet room with open balconies, very peaceful. Also the room was clean and spacious with a really nice bathroom. The bed was comfortable too. The front desk clerk was really friendly.
Covid closed the pool and restaurant, boooo. But I still really enjoyed my stay and I would go again.

A small friendly hotel.
Room outdated. Swimming pool unusable. Very small and next to the restaurant. No one available at reception. Couldn't get coffee after 10.am. Safe and fridge not working, even after I reported it. Food left on public seating area from staff.
3.6
The staff is very friendly and always willing to assist. The family is very kind and is extremely supportive and will do anything to ensure the guest feels welcome and taken care of. I highly recommend this place.

It's more like a house than the Boutique, the gate door was locked, the bedroom door very unsafe for guests, no WiFi and no staff in the building (only owner of the house). Unacceptable for the Boutique, the photos on the website are very misleading.
3.6
Location was good since it was in the great of the city. Staff was accommodating and friendly.
The connecting rooms were available online but when we got there, we didn't get it. They were available the next day. The booking website said there will be complimentary drinks (other than coffee) with the room but there was none. The trash was not picked up and was just on the floor where the patio furnitures were so it was not homey to sit and enjoy the cool breeze. The pool was supposedly heated and available (per the website) but was not available. The connecting rooms were not as clean as we expected. The floors felt dusty, sticky for some reason. The beds felt dusty. No pillow cases. One of the kettles in the room was not working.
Overall, it just needs a bit more love and maintenance. But I don't think I would stay here for the price. Not worth the stay.

Our Chief Operations Officer (COO) and her son visited the boutique hotel. The staff was very professional, courteous, and went above and beyond to exceed her expectations. The COO liked the hotel and it's location so much, she decided to stay one additional night to sight see and shop in Phnom Penh. The Bamboo9 is quality-driven and international customer friendly. The ambience and location.
TV not functioning, the manager did apologize. But of course i expected to be organize because I booked 3 weeks before. Also the bathroom was not prepared with toiletries such as toothbrushes etc. Probably due to covid-19 , tourist went down and not much maintenance.
