the location of the hotel is fantastic - close to restaurants, theatres, nightlife, and public transport to other locations it wasn’t as close to!
the beds are comfortable and the staff are helpful
i know it’s hard to stay on top of shared bathrooms but i often found that after the cleaning team had finished, i was still noticing marks and hairs on things from the day before
other than that the place was great
4.0
Great location and good sized room to fit the family
Could have been advised of no loft facilities and also that a code was needed to enter the building, even to check in.
4.5
Room was very clean
Shower room's water was low pressure, but very clean
Kitchen had everything you need to cook, well done
Location to the best restaurants only 5 mins walk distance
Staffs were friendly and lovely
For this price, nothing can ask more
I will come back
4.5
Price for both location and service was excellent set between all major hotels but at a third the cost
All good

Very clean comfortable and affordable place to stay with my children right around the corner from the Princess Theatre for our trip to see Harry Potter. Very easy to get to by Skybus and Tram with 3 kids and our luggage.

Room was a lot smaller than seen on the photos. Bed was very comfortable however, which was surprising considering the overall appearance of the room.
Bathrooms smelt like urine and seemed to have mould in some sections. Also just seemed incredibly sketchy. Also the windows didn't have fly wire so if you opened them over night, there was just straight access to the room. This kind of felt strange and uncomforting.

Close to shopping and food outlets and public transport
Unable to check in early, I tried to arrange the day prior. Despite the address, the entrance is on a different street.
I was unable to contact the property by phone, calls were not answered, and the after-hours number on the door was disconnected. When I was eventually able to check in I was assigned to a womans room of 6 pods but was unable to access my storage locker due to the placement of the steps and the person above me blocking my locker so I was changed to a mixed sex room of 16 pods.
Pod was uncomfortable and extremely noisy, there is no sound proofing at all with 15 other people in the room and especially when you are in the bottom pod and someone in the top pod is climbing in and out all night.
Bathrooms were disgusting and filthy. Covered in mildew and mould. Rotten windowframes and doorframes.
The lift was broken when I checked out, but the staff member on the desk was rude and abrupt and told me that it was working. I had to lug my bags down several flights of stairs.

The staff were lovely! They allowed us to store our bags until check in and whilst we went to tas and back! Super helpful! The room is just what you need and the roof top is pretty cool to sit on! Location is perfect and late check in available :)
Nothing really :)

Easy check-in, comfortable room, close to transport, Luggage held after checking out, Close to attractions, Wifi was good, friendly staff, value stay.
Some outside noise and no elevator.
3.5
Good location and friendly staff. Comfy bed. Liked that there were individual shower rooms.
The bed sheets had bad smell, felt like it wasn't dried properly. Only one towel was given per person for a 3 nights stay.

best location

location to city centre and tram network.
size of the room was tiny, could barely hold our suitcases. Extortionately priced for low quality facilities, amenities and no housekeeping services during a whole weeks stay. Kitchen was moulded, rusty and disgusting. Bathrooms were not kept to a clean standard. No AC in the rooms but did come with a loud fan.
3.5
Great location, the rooms are clean and tidy. Kitchenette stocked with basic equipment.
Everyone was respectful in common areas.
2.5
Nice location and friendly staff, but even though it was really expensive, the facilities was not too nice.
3.0
Staff was very friendly and helpful and the location is very central.
It wasn’t very tidy. Also quite loud. Wifi had a lot of ruptures.

This is the best location and cost effective Hotel. It is just so convenient to go to all shops and restraurants, and easy to meet the other young travelers. The manager's, Paul was very helpful and thoughtful. We had a great stay and enjoy the life in Melbourne.
No air condictioning, but it is understandable because this is a Budget Hotel. You get what you pay and it is cost effective.
2.5
Convenient location, communication good. Paid Parking wasn’t far but be aware of their height restrictions (2m max)
For potential improvement, I’ll mention the following:
It was a bit hard to find.
Lights didn’t work for two of the three nights. We were told to not overload the system however this was not the cause as electronics were working. It was just the lights. My kids were scared.
Cleanliness not really passable, smudges on the tile walls near bathroom, don’t want to think what they were. Bottle left in fridge from previous guest…with who knows what was left inside that bottle.
No second sheet, just one to cover mattress then the doona which I assume they don’t take off and wash these covers each time.
No hand towel
Half the toaster wasn’t working

Excellent value in the city centre.
