Wasn't as expected

Nothing to actually look forward to. Could've gotten better accommodation for less but was a rushed booking.

The fact that you can't have any guest over and didn't disclose on add. You can't enjoy yourself as you dnt have privacy cameras everywhere except bedrooms. You share the space with other occupants like a dorm n something bit me on my legs n arm whilst sleeping, probably a spider or some bug. The warm water takes forever to get warm n if so only for n short while, had to wash in cold water. The barhroom mirror was something out of horror movie.The gate also didn't work as it was storming. We had to wait in the rain for management to assist really wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Very good

It's more of a guesthouse than a backpackers but a really good spot to get a cheap, comfortable and clean room with a good kitchen and a friendly host. Close to town too.

The room was a little warm and the fan was broken, not a huge issue.

Debbie is very attentive to the willings of her guests and drove us to Robbeng island helped me with bus tickets and so on.

Breakfast was not included

The manager was rude and not helpful at all. She said to me that she could not accept the Booking .com. reference as confirmation and insisted that i open my laptop to find her emails after we have been working and travelling the whole day.

Best backpackers I've been to very well run and peacefull

Nice terrace with some views of the ocean. Room was clean, place was well run

Disappointing

The deck that our bedroom led out to was private and we could have meals there as a family.

1. The hostess was not hospitable. 2. I asked if my 85 year old aunt could have dinner with us as she was sleeping in her car overnight to collect someone and the answer was NO. 3. I asked the following day if the same aunt could come in JUST to change her clothing in the room. The answer was NO. 4. We were 2 adults in our mid 50's with 2 teenage sons. We were treated like children in a dormitory. The was a complete lack of compassion for an old lady and no ability from the hostess to accommodate a reasonable request.

Good

The privacy. It has been my first stay at a backpackers I arrived close to midnight and they were very accommodating, sufficient. They were the complete opposite of what I thought it to be. Came from a 350km drive and needed a place to stay for the night. Rooms was clean, bathroom was clean I had my own private room safe and secured. Very impressive Amakhaya thank you.

I did not stay there I was left alone in the middle of the night with nobody to contact with I stayed in a different place. I am still trying to cancel the stupid booking which never happened due to their mistake

Everything was very neat and tidy. We had a lovely evening

The Netflix and dstv didn't work, so we couldn't watch any TV. Tried contacting the owner or staff but they already replied the next day when leaving. But overall the room was nice

Bad experience

Nothing was good, the room was so small with single bads, shower outside. In the morning no water to shower but check out time is 10am without bathing. It was the worst experience I ever had in my life

Friendly and helpful staff.

Location is perhaps not ideal if you do not have a car. I would not walk alone at night in the area

Unable to access during check-in hours. Never received text message with gate code.

We arrived at backpackers within check-in hours but nobody answered the intercom at the gate. We then called 3 different phone numbers which we could find for the property but nobody answered. We then left for another hotel. The next day we learned that we would have received a text with gate code for the touch-less check-in which we never did--only a WhatsApp message from the owner asking if we stayed at the property.
