This is an authentic PR bed and breakfast. The architecture and decoration make you feel like you’re in a local house.
The back room isn’t as great as the inside rooms. It feels gloomy.
4.7
Nicely appointed with a good mix of vintage and modern. Margarita filled us in on the history of the house and the conversion to a bed and breakfast. Walking distance to the beach short and sweet. Outdoor bathroom with shower facilities available even after checkout.
Can’t think of anything.

Casa Isabel is a real find. The proof was evident when we arrived to find other guests who visit yearly. Margie was a fountain of information and an enjoyable host every day. The continental breakfast was very good and more than adequate to fuel your day. I would stay there again if I return to San Juan.
There's nothing I can think of.
4.7
Excellent value for the money
4.7
Very comfortable bed. Quiet neighborhood. Margie goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant.
4.7
Amazing breakfast, very nice bed and room, nice environment and location, very friendly responsive staff. All facilities nice and clean as well, both air condition and ceiling fans available. Overall a very good experience!
There was a loud machine, likely a generator, right outside our bedroom, probably the neighbour's, which was occasionally very loud at night for prolonged periods. Also we got attacked by mosquitos in the room, even always keeping the windows and door closed, there was no way to escape.
4.7
Clean, comfortable, quiet room one block from the beach! Good breakfast and friendly service. Very welcoming!
4.7
The manager of the property Margie was communicative and made sure we had everything we needed to get into the property at a time that worked for us. We had LOTS to eat for breakfast and the environment was cozy and comfortable. The location was very walkable to the beach, cafes and restaurants.
4.7
the boutique style. The room was clean, location is great, felt very safe, the personnel is amazing and caring.
the yard room is exposed to every noise made outside - when it rains you can hear it as if you were sleeping outside. We also had very loud neighbors who were yelling and partying for hours until the early morning (across the street, not the villa’s guests).
4.7
The property was beautiful, clean. A miniature paradise one block from the beach.
There is nothing to dislike. The property is perfect.
4.7
I loved how cozy it was and that it was SO close to the beach. There were plenty of places to sit and read and they provided breakfast and items for the beach.
The rooms were very cool but sometimes the living and dining areas were hot. But the ceiling fans definitely helped.
4.7
The bed and breakfast was fast more marvelous than I expected. The beach is within walking distance which was great! We truly recommend will recommend this place to our friends and family.

Breakfast was great! Perfect location near the beach!
4.7
Comfortable bed, good location, the staff was helpful, responsive and very warm and friendly
There was an annoying noise in our room, apparently from the water pump. Thankfully, it didn’t go all night long

Breakfast was consistently good, and there was plenty to fuel up for the day. Our host provided options suitable for my wife (she has a gluten allergy) as well as some day-to-day variation in breakfast-different fruits, meats, juices, coffee, several teas, etc. Not fancy, but always substantial and delicious. Our room was great-just the right size for two people and our own bathroom. The house dates from 1933, so the architectural details-archways, flooring etc.- give it character that we really liked. As I told our host-by the end of our week there, we were referring to it as “home” when we were out and about! The staff were also great-kind and attentive and generally anticipated needs.
I cannot think of one thing I have to complain about. We really liked it.
4.7
Even though the property is basically a house with a lot of rooms, it always feels private.
Nothing to dislike

very nicely decorated and clean. close to the beach.
The window in the bathroom was uncovered and faced the neighbor’s window and balcony.
4.7
I loved the scenery. The staff were exceptional well. The breakfast was delicious.
4.7
Communication was good between me and the host. Keyless entry was easy, and instructions were clear.

Location, cleanliness, beach equipment, parking, good communication

Thank you to Margie and her staff! We had wonderful stay! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was delicious. All the provided beach supplies (chairs, towels, snorkel gear, coolers) were perfect and convenient. The location was exceptional. Just a 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants and grocery store. We were all very pleased with our stay!
4.7
Great location. nice size room. The staff was friendly.
The windows left open in the living room. Mosquitoes kept coming in.

This Bed and Breakfast was very charming. The sitting areas were beautiful and the breakfast was good. The room was very clean and had a refrigerator. There was a beach at the end of the street, just a quick walk away. We did not use them, but they had beach chairs and other beach items that you could use. They also had a cute balcony in the back that was fun to sit on at night.
We found parking on the street but had to look for a while. The parking area is not very big so I would not count on it being available. The bed was a little small for us, although it was comfy. They insisted on having us show a proof of Covid vaccine (we needed to send a picture of our vaccine cards) or else they would not check you in.

Stayed here for our honeymoon; Casa Isabel was a great choice! We loved the privacy of our room and the kitchenette in the separate suite. The morning breakfasts are delicious and abundant. Margy was a gracious host and took time out to speak to us most days we were there. The area is very quiet and safe with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. There is also a 24 hour grocery store (Supermax) 5 minutes away on foot if any last minute supplies are needed for your stay. Staying here made our trip even better! We definitely would recommend to couples looking for a nice place to stay on their trip.

Casa Isabel is a good B&B next to Calle Loiza in San Juan with a lot of food options around. The contact with the person in charge is very easy and you feel very safe in the casa. There is a very good breakfast in the morning, and a lot of stuff you can borrow for your day at the beach. There is a secure parking you can use, but it is also very easy right in the street.
Our room was close to a water pump outside that can be noisy sometimes but after a while you feel use to it.
4.7
It was comfortable. The breakfast was good. It was clean. The staff was wonderful.
It was hard to find at night. It is a little out of the way. Old San Juan is too far to walk.
