Great location
Price was for location. Room was ok but not worth the nightly fee charged

Beautiful location
The aircon in our room was broken. The room was incredibly hot and aircon noisy (which clearly wasn’t working). Unable to open any window so it felt suffocating. Have stayed in before and enjoyed it. But harbour view room this time was awful.

Location
Rooms felt dirty and outdated for what price you are paying. I’ve stayed in nicer kept 3 star hotels in remote locations for a third of the price. The bathroom especially was gross. It had mould and scum stains on the tiles. There was no shower door so water went everywhere when showering. The sink was an odd material that made a lot of noise when anything touched it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and neither of us got sleep because our arms and legs kept going dead. The rooms are barely sound proof as we heard constant banging of doors all night. Parking was a nightmare.

Menu stated food available until 10pm but kitchen closed at 930.
Also joined the membership program on arrival but couldn’t get the discount at the bar!

The location
Our room- Given the cost of my stay and the location, I expected at least a view of the water. Instead, we were placed in a room facing a wall with high windows with no outside view, which made it feel like we were in a dungeon. Thankfully, we didn’t have to spend much time in the room."

Friendly staff, very helpful
The information on booking.com is a bit misleading, I came for Sydney marathon, looking for a property that is close to the finish line at the Sydney opera house. Pier one seemed within 1000 meters mark but in reality, the walking distance is more than 2k. After marathon, that was a bit too long to walk.

It's always a pleasure staying at Pier One. Staff, food, and service are always exceptional. Big shout out our main man, Eugene, who is the best in business at what he does for all the guests. If you need something, just ask him, and he gets it done no problems at all 👌👍

Für jeden was dabei.
Uns hat an nichts gefehlt.

The location was great. There is a very nice area on the pier to have drinks or morning coffee. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice for those with dietary preferences.
When we were checking in the person at the desk told us he was upgrading us but in actual fact we were upgraded to the room we booked. So no upgrade. We did ask for the beds to be separated (requested on the booking) but when we got to the room a double bed was made up. We called to have this changed and the same guy checking us in told us we would have to pay more to have a trundle bed brought up to the room. We asked to speak with the manager as we were not paying extra for what we had already originally booked. The manager gave us the extra trundle at no cost but the person at the desk was very rude to us about it. The room was tired and in need of an update. Carpet was worn, the door in the bathroom had damp damage and the shower had mould.

Breakfast as great- good variety
We had dinner in the restaurant as we were too tired from traveling to explore. I do not eat seafood so felt the menu was restrictive for me. My husband enjoyed his meal

Stunning location, well appointed rooms and extremely helpful staff.
Just need to explain on checking in the holding amounts on the credit card as we were caught by surprise when we checked our credit transactions.

Absolutely amazing view of both the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Clean rooms with great amenities including robes, slippers and Dyson hairdryer. The bar downstairs in the foyer is definitely worth the visit too being able to sip away while looking at the water.
Loved everything.

On arrival, Front desk, Concierge and porter were great, however they represented the highlights of our stay...........
The general decor of the public spaces,, our faded, outdated and past its best room with noisy plumbing, meager supplies of tea and coffee sachets and even a TV that continuously failed to respond to the handset.
The evening bar service was appalling; arriving at 9.30 pm and choosing to sit on the terrace overlooking the bay we (and several other guests) were eventually told that the "terrace" would shut at 10.00pm and we needed to move into the main bar area. Once in the main bar area the staff busied themselves with clearing up and failed to offer any table service.
The hotel also tried to double charge for breakfast (two days in a row) although a quick word to the Front Desk resolved the issue.

The staff were lovely and the location and visual look of the hotel itself was lovely. The pillows were extremely comfortable and great quality.
Upon arriving late evening with my young daughter, we were provided with our room card only to enter a room that was dirty and had a gentleman staying in it. It was quiet alarming and worrying walking into a man's room with my 12-year-old daughter at 11.30PM at night. Upon speaking to the receptionist about someone been in the room she didn't appear to believe me at first. Upon confirming it she apologized and provided another room card.

The location was excellent. This was our 1st time traveling to Australia. Being on the water was beautiful, walking outside the hotel and seeing the iconic Sydney Opera House at sunrise & sunset was magical. The hotel is tucked back and quiet, but steps to everything. The morning breakfast was a wonderful and delicious way to start the day.
The only slight hiccup was checking in. The person gave us incorrect information about several things, but everything else was top notch.

The location is perfect, close to everything you’ll ever need when exploring Sydney.
I noticed there was an emergency alarm that went off on lower levels, but we couldn’t hear it from our level or room which was concerning. But apart from that, everything was perfect.

The team working at this beautiful hotel make you feel like you are coming home. The location is amazing on its own and having such a wonderful team makes me want to go back.

Upon arriving we were looked after very well. We were offered cocktails on arrival which I have never experienced before at any hotel in Sydney. The car was chauffeured. our luggage was taken to our room and our arrival was excellent. The staff you have who meet and greet on arrival and leaving are brilliant. I cannot speak highly enough of them. I loved sitting out on the chairs in the front of the restaurant having breakfast and drinks during the day. Again the staff were excellent.
I have stayed at Pier One before but we always stayed in the suite overlooking the water. This time I chose a room with a water view. Unfortunately, the water view was a small window which I had to stand over in the corner of the room to see any view whatsoever. It was disappointing in so much as it would have been nice to have a window which was central in the room and which we could actually look out and see the water. It was a disappointment. Apart from that issue I have to say that Pier One is still my favourite place in Sydney to stay.
