Very basic with high cost

The location was convenient

The room was not clean, under beds dirty food containers etc. The spa was very very Luke warm and not enjoyable at all.

Meriton suites are always a high standard p.

Staff member at check in was lovely. Room was spacious and decor was new and modern. The heating wasn’t working and they sent a maintenance person up straight away to fix it. Great location easy walk to town hall station.

Absolutely fabulous including our chopper ride over the city. Highly recommended.

We had a 1 bedroom suite on the twelfth floor 1201 in the corner with a great view of Darling Harbour, which we had requested and it had all the facilities and equipment, like a home away from home. And the location was excellent.

Nothing in respect to your establishment but the taxi driver that you ordered for us at 5.30am was absolutely useless and his English and knowledge of the city was diabolical. He had no idea where the Museum Station was and when I tried to talk about the underground or trains or subway, he didn’t have a clue and the taxi cost $24 instead of $12. We were not happy and should have just walked to City Hall and then found platform 6!! I should have taken his name and number but bu the time we had gone around in circles we were in a hurry to get our train to the airport!!

Completely awful

Location: perfect Cleaness: not bad

Reception: The lady receptionist was hands down the worst receptionist I've ever encountered—just talking with her left me feeling exhausted and completely soured our stays at Meriton. She was blunt, arrogant, and extremely unfriendly. No Housekeeping Service: I've stayed at several Meriton branches across Australia more than 10 times, and I've never experienced a situation where the reception claimed "only one housekeeping is available." Throughout the four nights of our stay, we only received one service after paying $310 per night. That was very disappointing. Moreover, when they said that the sevice's done, I even had to change the bed sheets myself since they just left the new sheet on the bed. My girlfriend and I are huge fans of Meriton, but our experience at Meriton Sussex was a complete letdown. The receptionists there seemed clueless about customer service and lacked any sort of protocol. Even the housekeeper who came to fix the stove addressed me as 'bro and said what's wrong'. While I don't mind that, it's not something you'd expect from a 5 star hotel with customer manuals.

Nice apartment in a good location but was not as self-sufficient as expected.

Location great. Bed linen and bed super comfortable. Nice spacious apartment. Good appliances including nice large fridge/freezer and great laundry facilities and kept very clean. Staff very helpful.

The kitchen was poorly equipped - hardly any pans and preparation items for making snacks/meals. We could only find one frying pan and large mixing bowl. No small utensils other than basic cutlery items. Would have been useful to have small basin, jug, grater, saucepan etc. A good range of appliances but could not be fully utilised. Ate out more than intended. Also, nowhere to store dry larder items such as cereals, biscuits, crisps etc other than work table. No cupboard space. Not enough crockery to use the dishwasher economically. Nowhere to hang towels to dry in bathroom, had to ask for an airer which had to have in the lounge area. Noisy at times as close to a service cupboard which was accessed frequently in the morning. The view. Lounge window looked onto another high rise being renovated.

I would never go back again

The location was really good and convenient

The AC did not work .. asked staff to fix this and was told it can not be fixed .. was offered a fan which never made it to the room .. the room never got changed .. the manager Brooke and Jasper were not helpful at all .. $840 for two night totally not worth it..

Good value for price

Rooms were nice and spacious and it was in a great location. The staff were lovely.

Rooms aren’t serviced for short stays. The hotel ran out of coffee pods for the in room coffee machines. You had to organise fresh towels each day. Twice over the weekend the shower has no hot water.

Good location - good restaurants nearby

The suite was perfect for our needs and we had most of the things we needed for a homestay-like experience. Amenities were always delivered to our room promptly. We could walk to a number of good restaurants and the supermarket is also within walking distance.

The bedroom was not an ensuite so it was slightly troublesome to walk out of the room to get to the toilet in the middle of the night. The king bed in a queen room also meant there was only space for one bedside table, and therefore access to the wall plug only on that side.

Kiwis at The Meriton

We LOVED staying here. We were treated really well from the moment we got there. We were a little bit lost outside and a kind staff member showed us the way in and helped with our bags. We absolutely loved the pool and used it often. Being so close to everything was really convenient for us, we were able to look around town and get back to our room without it being a big hassle. Best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Amazing staff and facilities.
