Location
Continental breakfast
The location meant it was very loud; even with earplugs the music from the bar next door was a lot!
3.5
The hotel is in the centre of Galway city which is good for access to all restaurants bars and shops.
The hotel is located directly beside a late bar night club and consequently the noise levels late into the night make sleeping very difficult. To compound the issue the AC is not working so there is no means to cool the room other than to leave the window open
The room is very small with no room for baggage or for walking around.
I would definitely not recommend staying here unless you are up for staying out late and going to bed after 2am.

Clean and the location was class!
Nothing much. It's really small and the rooms are tiny but it's great.
5.0
The central location and character. Absolutely spotless and the breakfast catered to all tastes. Really friendly and helpful check in staff. Nothing to fault.
Stairs can be difficult for someone with limited mobility. However this is part of the character of a 700 year old building and assistance was offered.

The host was a kind and friendly woman. The continental breakfast in the morning was a plus. The rooms were small but clean. The location of the hotel couldn't be better- everything is within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Location was central and close to everything. They offer a discounted rate at a local car park- although it’s a very small tight car park. The bed was super comfy. Air con was also very welcome during a hot few days. Due to central location- this can be noisy at night but to be expected and we didn’t mind.
The bathroom was in a poor state and not very clean. Floor tiles all cracked and shower door hanging off. Poor smells coming from the toilet when flushed. This was really off putting but thankfully we were rarely in the room and not without sitcom or window open.
3.0
Friendliness of staff
Shower pressure, cost and too much street light

Great location! Breakfast spread was good and the staff was excellent.
No lift in the building. had to carry 50 lb suitcases up 7 flights of stairs. The room was clean but very small

This hotel is in a perfect location. I could just hop down and be right in the middle of everything. Breakfast was lovely as were the ladies who prepared it. This hotel is incredibly pleasant.
The location is a little loud but that is because it is in the middle of all of the fun stuff. It was actually a bonus. I had tons of fun.

fantastic location, extremely friendly and helpful staff including reception, kitchen.
the owner says hello and takes a personal interest in the guests’ visit.
no was great.

Great location and good breakfast, room was very clean. Very nice staff!
The room and bathroom were quite small, and the staircase steep (keep in mind if you're carrying heavy luggage)
Noisy due to central location

location couldn’t be beaten.
very friendly staff.
bedroom was very clean but in need of TLC& maintenance. mattress very old. couldn’t sleep at all as it had no support. the bases of beds were very old and very dirty, really need to be replaced or st least coveted with a valance sheet.
3.5
The location is great, right in the Latin Quarter in the city centre, surrounded by pubs and restaurants.
The staff was very friendly and the beds were really comfortable.
The breakfast was also quite nice. The decor in the entire hotel makes it feel very homey.
The room was very pricey having into account how small it is. There is only one little bar to hang your clothes but no table or any other space to place your things.
The same issue in the bathroom, since there is barely no place to hang your wet towels. Also, one of the shelfs in the bathroom was crooked and I feared that it would fall into our heads when in the toilet.
They do warn you about that, but it can be very noisy from the pubs and the people partying in the streets since the windows are old and don’t block the sound.
I think this is a fine hotel if you’re only staying for the night, but two nights as we did can be too much.

Brilliant location. Clean room. We had no problems with the shower as seen from other reviews. Great shower for hot water and power. We stayed on the first floor overlooking the street. Noise wasn't as bad as we expected as the soundproofing windows worked and we didn't need the earplugs provided. Car park was only 2mins walk away and the €10 per night deal through the property was good value . Very friendly and helpful staff.
Room was a bit small but it is an old building so that is to be expected.

The staff was very nice and helpful.
Breakfast is very good and tasty.
Location is superb in the Latin Quarter.
The bed was very good and we rested well.
The room was a bit tight for space.
3.5
The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was lovely. The Christmas decorations were nice.
There were 45 narrow steps up to the room on the very top floor. The bathroom door couldn't open fully because the bed was in the way. The water was too hot to have a shower or wash.

Very helpful reception and staff

Nice location, quiet and peaceful, Staff always smiling
I enjoyed the breakfast, however it could be improved, maybe some bacon, sausages, omelets could be added

Location cannot be beaten.
Rooms are tiny. Fine for 1 but not suitable for a couple.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city center, the staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good too. We loved the Christmas decoration!

Great location for exploring the city centre, lovely breakfast and nice cosy rooms.
No hot water on one morning, had to shower in ice cold water. Just unlucky here I think. Also the rooms at the front are not suitable for light sleepers, I couldn’t stay there again due to the noise.
4.5
The room is not large. needed more room to spread out for 3 days. bed comfortable, staff excellent and great breakfasts. The biggest plus was the location. it was in the heart of everything. no problem with noise even though it was a happening spot.
small room

The races were on for that week and there must have been 5,000 party goers in the streets below us. What a great atmosphere it was. Should have stayed longer in Galway and will be back.
Nothing it was great

good location in the old centre Galway
3.0
The location was very central and although noisy had a very good vibe. We were however able to close the windows and shutters which cut out the noise. There was airconditioning which kept the room cool. The parking was fairly close although walking with big suitcases was a challenge. The room was very neat and clean. The breakfast in the morning was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The room although, described as compact was a lot smaller than we were expecting, it was extremely tiny. No cupboards or place to store your suitcases. The bathroom was also very small. Opening the bathroom door into the room with someone sitting on their side of the bed was impossible. If you are a large person with big suitcases this room would not have been very comfortable at all.
