The most spacious and comfortable bathroom we had in our 2 weeks in Iceland. Comfortable beds and good size well designed room. excellent breakfast
4.3
Good destination to escape to the countryside, away from light pollution. You do have a better chance of seeing the northern lights here. The dinner and breakfast were both of a high standard.
The website is a bit confusing, there is no spa/hot springs that come with the hotel stay. There is a conventional public swimming pool close by or you can go on a 2 hour tour to spend 30 minutes in a hot spring. These are extras. The hotel didn't seem to have a proper bar or lounge area to sit for a drink, chat, read and I found the restaurant acoustics a bit noisy. I had high expectations, so maybe I picked up on the negatives.
4.3
Fantastic location with the activity centre next door. Outdoor pools so close by was a bonus. Quality of food was high

everything was fine. it is a very quite and peaceful place.
nothing.

only had breakfast
breakfast was not good, extremely limited, hot food was cold and people touching everything
Had to use my cellphone to find the receptionist, I don't have international calling plan , we arrived at 11.45pm -took 15 minutes to come to desk. Our bathroom was bigger than the bedroom.

We had an outstanding experience at Hótel Húsafell! We enjoyed our clean, modern room with a lovely valley view and the wonderful breakfast buffet. Our greatest highlight was dinner. We travelled all over Iceland for 17 days and had our absolutely best meal at the Húsafell Restaurant. The head chef and his team created something extraordinary here with amazing, innovative flavors incorporating wild, local ingredients, and a presentation that was second to none. It was a Michelin Star experience and then some. Thank you!

Best dinner of our whole trip
Room was a bit basic

Very nice rooms, excellent restaurant.

The room had no air flow or cooling. It was 28 degrees in it and the suggestion was to open a window. She brought a fan and then came and brought a fridge but for the cost of this place it was more like a hostel than a hotel. Temp went to 27 degrees with the fan it was brutal.
The staff was very nice though nothing they could do about a terribly built room.
4.3
The building is designed well. The rooms were comfortable and large. The beds were comfortable. I needed a fan because the room was too hot and the concierge got me a fan. Breakfast was wonderful.

Everything! this was my husbands favorite accommodation. He loved the restaurant and the fabulous meal we had. propery is amazing and the Canyon baths should not be missed!

This hotel has a wonderful ambiance and is environmentally friendly. Breakfast was exceptional.
4.3
Stylish hotel with very friendly, helpful, staff - and a terrific restaurant!
Nothing was actively any less than pretty good. The worst things were minor: (a) that we were at the end of a long corridor, quite near where we'd parked but the layout meant we had to walk the long way round with our luggage, & (b) some rooms seemed to have doors directly onto the patio bits around the hotel but ours did not. Minor!
4.3
The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable; the restaurant and food have been great and the location and views are wonderful. Great for exploring the surroundings (lava cave, glacier)!
Nothing really to dislike, just the doors to the rooms close a bit harsh and therefore make some noise which could impact people with a light sleep.

We had dinner in the hotel and this was excellent, very good food and very good service.

lovely location, nice calm vibe, amazing walks from the hotel, lovely staff. pool area nice but closed when we went.
menu is a little limited, but good quality.
4.3
Hotel is very nice and in a lovely location. Super easy access to Into the Glacier and other nearby attractions. Restaurant is nice with a good breakfast and high-end dinner options. Staff was very friendly. Bathroom was very large and nice. Everything seemed new and high quality.
Bathroom might have been larger than the room. Could have used a little more space in the room, especially given the cost.
4.3
The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were large. The food at the hotel was delicious and the staff was friendly. beautiful property.
4.3
the location was breathtaking. We went in April and it didn’t feel crowded but I know they were booked.
no lunch options. kid friendly food was quite limited.
4.3
beautiful property, wonderful stay, great food!
4.3
great location, extremely helpful and friendly staff, good restaurant and loads of activities nearby!
walls between rooms may be a little bit thin for light sleepers.
4.3
Nice location, clean and modern.
Hotel mainly dedicated to Northern Lights spotting, and unfortunately we (two rooms) did not get a wake up call to see them when most other guests did, so we miss the main reason for our trip. Seems that during the check-in process that key item was forgotten and left us out of the loop. Very unfortunate.
4.3
Beautiful place and a perfect location if your goal is to see the northern lights and do the glacier and canyon tours. The building is beautiful and it's all very clean. The staff is polite and helpful.
Food could vary. There were very limited options on the menu and they never change them. Although they say that you can order something different when staying for more than 3 days, there are still strong limitations.
The mattress is very, very soft. Not comfortable.
4.3
Nice location, close to tourist attractions, friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, excellent dinner
Breakfast, compared to the excellent dinner rather disappointing, only filter coffee (extra cost for coffee from the machine)
4.3
Perfect location close to the wonderful Waterfall and the Glacier.
Delicious restaurant and nice modern rooms.
Team was friendly and booked the tours for me.
Beautiful nature environnement
All good. ( a hot bath under the stars would be a plus but they don't have)
4.3
The location is amazing and the tours and activities offered around the hotel are highly recommended! They are guided by locals that tell stories of the area and have a wonderful pride for this beautiful place.
A nice spot to catch the night the northern lights as the conditions are good and the hotel offers a northern light wake up call when they show up.
The kitchen at the hotel is world class! Excellent quality and creative dishes, would recommend even just stopping for dinner!
It was too cold, the heating did not seem to work and in the end the reception brought us a small electric heater.
