The rooms are very nicely decorated and the views are spectacular. The poolside area is also very nice and beach access is super easy.
The hotel seems to have a problem with its waste water treatment, so the parking lot really has a foul smell. Not a great welcome. Also, when I arrived, I was told that only one night had been paid and was charged the balance. When I checked my records, I had actually already paid both nights, so it seems like there was a communication problem between Booking.com and the hotel, which was resolved the following day. Breakfast service was quite slow.

wonderful hotel, small, cost, facing the ocean, great facilities and the staff is very friendly. the swimming pool is a nice to have in this area when the wind blows, and we all enjoyed the jacuzzi at sunset. amazing family stay, another Christmas vacation at Casa Tara and we will continue to come back. thank you Casa Tara for making us feel Bering home!

Clean, nice, comfortable. Nice pool, jacuzzi. Parking. Massage therapists are great! Staff is great! Awesome dogs on site, beautiful location. Convenient location.
Very loud partying guests and neighbors. Like all night! My wife and I party sometimes too, but this was next level. We stayed 3 nights. Night one was loud partying and music from the home located next door to the south til about 3 am. Night 2 was noise and partying directly outside out room, the house next door and the bar across the stree with loud karaoke. We were awoken at 2 am by drunk people trying to get into our room, by mistake. They continued to be very loud til 530 Am! The 3rd night (Sunday night) was quieter, until about midnight when the bar across the street started to get loud. Get this, they had live singing and partying until 6 am! I've never complained about noise or partying EVER! But this is next level. Not the tranquil. Serene experience that the hotel strives for. I've gotten better sleep in Vegas or at concert venue campgrounds. Fridge in room would be nice. Also the bed was two twins put together. So Crack in the middle.

Good location. Nice building. Food tasted good.
There was no management presence. Kids took over the pool every day. Buildings and rooms not marked. Had another guest enter our room. The decorative mosquito netting pictured was not present in the room as expected. Dining service was slow

Hands down one of my favorite places I’ve stayed in the WORLD- the place is gorgeous, staff are so accommodating and the location is just far enough away from big cities that it feels like a getaway we all need.
Best 3 things about Casa Tara:
1) Beautiful, large rooms that feel like a luxe spa getaway. Top quality organic sheets and towels, crisp white rooms, rain shower head and AC that works even in the hottest of days. Oh yeah- the entire WALL is a window that opens to the sea.... absolutely gorgeous.
2) The pool. Beautiful blue infinity pool overlooking the ocean with unobstructed beach views. Plenty of lounge chairs and shade palapas (plus the restaurant will bring you food/drinks poolside) you will want to spend lots of time out here.
3) The staff. Absolutely the friendliest, most helpful and genuinely nice staff ever. They followed up on the booking and made sure we had directions, helped organize a lab to come to the hotel for our mandatory Covid tests back to US and even let us use their office after we checked out to take a unexpected work video call.
Bonus points for the excellent restaurant on-site (we ate their several meals and it was delicious and very reasonably priced) and also the vibe of the whole property was very peaceful, zen and restful. The absolute cherry on top was the wifi was unexpectedly good- we had to take video work calls a few days and we’re able to do so with minimal packet loss.
Would love to return to this amazing retreat again- everything about the visit was lovely.

The rooms are small but clean and simple design. But way overpriced
The water is extremely bad. If you rent for 250 $ per night you expect they would provide fresh water, not salty filtered and chemicals added. My hair sufferd too much so I could only shower with bottle water. Feels like camping. The beds are too hard and it gets extremely cold in the night. No Moskitonet is also a problem. It was my second time here and to get an invoice for my company was always a long fight over weeks. No good Service if the client has to fight for basic administration things. Will not go back.

Fantastic food, location, view, and staff. It's like you're at your own private retreat and no decisions have to be made for you. It's also in a great location- close walk to many gem restaurants and coffee.
I honestly can't think of anything. Maybe stronger coffee?
