The welcome drink was lovely, the staff were really helpful. The room had a great view of Mount Agung and was very spacious. We loved the outside bathroom. The swimming pool was well maintained and good to swim in at the end of the day. We rented a moped from the hotel for a good price. It was good to have breakfast included.

We truly liked everything! The location is perfect, with an amazing view on mount Agung by clear sky. The room and bathroom are super clean, with all the facilities (kettle, fan, soap, shampoo, 2 sets of towels per person, etc). The bed is also super comfortable. The breakfast included is very good and the restaurant also serves delicious dishes for the rest of the day. But the best thing at Giri Carik was definitely the staff. Very welcoming, always there to help with a big smile. They helped us book transport and we rented a scooter. All very well organized. We had a great stay!
Nothing really... It was perfect

Grounds; pool; planting; location next to treks
Double room bedding ripped. Wardrobe broken. Restaurant food poor. No water after day 1. No soap in dispenser.

we loved the serenity and the pool. it was great waking up and seeing Mt Agung right in front of us. The restaurant was exceptional value for money.

Location, views, food, excellent staff. Value for money is excellent. Our driver Ketut was great.
Bed too hard, pillow too soft (personal taste but we both commented on it). Cushions on outdoor seating and lounges had become flat and need refreshing. The pool was nice but had green on the tiles that wipes off. Grass in front of the bungalow was due for mow.
Trying to be constructive 🙏

Komang was super friendly and helpful, she also gave us some good information about the area and things to do. Portion sizes in the restaurant were really good. The terrace of the room was very comfortable to sit and enjoy the scenery.
They are doing some renovation on a couple rooms right now so there was a bit of noise, but nothing too loud, and they stopped work at a normal time. The pool was nice but could be a little cleaner. Breakfast was yummy but it was only really western choices, would be nice to have some mie or nasi..

Our room was overlooking the Agung volcano.
The staff were wonderful in particular Komang was outstanding. A great cafe on site with stunning views.
it could benefit from air conditioning. Although it is a little cooler in the north.

Reception and service were attentive and personable, and the restaurant was really terrific. We ate most of our meals there becuase the food was fresh, delicious, and affordable, and the view is amazing. The family room was large and airy, and access to the pool was direct, and we had it to ourselves for most of the time. The location is great for exploring the area, and scooter rental was great.
wifi only worked reliably up at the reception/ restaurant area, but it wasn't a big deal.

My family loved staying at Giri Carik. We stayed in two rooms (out of only five rooms) for three nights in early January and absolutely loved it. What a hidden gem! It was quiet with an absolutely spectacular view from our villa and especially from the eating area (restaurant). The view of Mount Agung in the morning is simply breathtaking. The friendly staff treated us like royalty. The pool was lovely. The food was delicious and cheap with big portions (why go anywhere else?). And the price? Unbelievably cheap. We paid about $25 AUD per night with breakfast included. The expensive resorts down the road have nothing on this place. If you want something quiet and comfortable at a very affordable price, look no further. We have travelled all over the globe and were amazed at the value at Giri Carik. Highly recommended.
That we had only booked to stay for three nights. :)

This is a beautiful place to stay in a beautiful part of Bali - well away from the craziness of Kuta, Ubud etc. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and this adds to the overall impression of calm and the serenity of the surroundings. It was a great place to speak a chilled Christmas Day, though Sidemen and Giri Carik would be a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year.

Everything!! The Bungalows are beautiful, the pool is clean and refreshing and the location has the best view on mt. Agung. But what made my stay so special was the staff. Without exeption, they could not have done more, to make me feel at home. Thank you! I'm already looking forward to coming back!
Nothing :) everything was great!

Big comfy bungalow, take that one with Mountain View, just stunning. Big breakfast included. It’s so calm and private because the place has only 5 bungalows. The staff was so friendly and attentive - and the pool is also a plus! I will definitely come back 👍🏽
Be prepared to encounter some insects, did not bother me, it’s normal in Southeast Asia! 😁

This family owned business was lovely . Big thanks to Komang. It was fascinating learning about the area from her and she offered great advice and help about local activities. The rooms were large and clean . A spare single bed was set up for us when we asked for it to be added. The pool was lovely and clean and the gardens beautiful. We enjoyed our breakfasts and our dinner on the night we ate in . The view from the restaurant is fabulous. The location is on a lovely stretch of road with other accomodations and restaurants so there is plenty of choice. We went trekking through rice fields, rafting and visited the local market at around 6am in the morning. It's definitely worth checking out. Sidemen itself is fabulous ..

The room was a great size and very clean. The balcony was lovely to sit and have a drink in the afternoon. The pool is also a really nice touch. Staff were all really lovely and the breakfast included was very tasty!
The bathroom is an outside bathroom which is fine with us but it does mean that often more bugs come into the room than normal!

It's the perfect place to just relax a bit and be in a more countryside part of Bali.
Loved the pool and the roomy, classy, clean room.

Giri Carik was such a lovely place to stay. It is family owned and run, and that showed in the warm and friendly way we were treated. It is peaceful and relaxing, with lovely gardens and an excellent pool. The cabins are stylishly designed and fitted out, and very comfortable. The view of Mount Agung (when the cloud lifts, usually in the morning and late afternoon) is stunning, especially from the open air restaurant upstairs. The restaurant has some western options, but for us it is the Balinese specialties that we go for, and those that we sampled over several visits to the restaurant were absolutely delicious. There is also a cafe serving traditional lattes etc. It is also located close to other restaurants so there's lots of choice. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back again. Totally recommended.

Such a quiet and relaxing spot. We will come back and stay longer if we can.
This place is so special. Staff with great English. Incredible coffee shop, beautiful rooms and pool. LOVE IT👌
Our stay was too short.

absolutely everything. Komang, Putu & the team were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room I was in had amazing views of Mt Agung. The coffee shop attached makes the best lattes & is the only western coffee shop in Sidemen. The resident dog Jumi makes it feel like home with her friendly nature. can’t wait to go back again. This will now be a regular place for me.
